Luigi's Ristorante Italiano reviews
16This place is absolutely amazing. And they make every single thing on their menu from scratch. I mistakenly thought this was a restaurant like Olive Garden as I had never been to that part of town before and I opted to take five-year-old triplets and a six year old along with their mom and myself, and they were so accommodating to us even though they are a very quaint, quiet, upscale restaurant they did not bad and I at how loud and messy our kids were, so I recommend this place to everyone and if I am ever in that area again, I will be returning and bringing everyone that I can with me. The food itself was so delicious that all of our children ate all of their food without complaint, let alone the food that we had, which was delicious. They even made three of the dishes observing food preferences that were not even allergies so I want to recommend this to any person who has food allergies like I do or food preferences? Like my child has.
The Chicken Gorgonzola was inedible. The sauce was okay but the chicken breast was rubbery tough and extremely over salted. Just to be sure I wasn't having a "picky taste moment" my dining companion tried a bite and also said it was inedible. His Gnocchi with a sausage and meatball was rated by him as okay gnocchi and okay meatball but kinda "eh" on the sausage. For over $20 a plate food you can do much better at any other Italian restaurant in the area. The management did offer a very small discount for the Chicken Gorgonzola but 3 bites of a dish that is inedible doesn't deserve just a piddling discount - imo. The waiter was good and his tip was reflective of his service, not the mediocre/inedible food. Just hope the management didn't scarf his tip to make up the piddling discount. Won't be back there!
Awful. You're better off with grocery store pasta. The carbonara, somehow, tasted like it came from a can. I'm pretty sure the marinara does. The chicken marsala tasted like they dumped a bottle of marsala on a plate and served it. Go literally anywhere else.
Always great food always ready when i arrive this is smaller family owned establishment and you can tell they take pride in their food and that its been part of tradition for many families in the area to have their gatherings there there Usually when i pick up my orders there is small family celebrating with just a nice dinner, i think the atmosphere inside would great date resturant too.food is delicious and hot everytime!
The best customer service from start to finish. The service matched any five star restaurant Houston has to offer. The food was timely prepared and the temperature was perfect! With great tasting quality food, matched with super reasonable prices, I’ll be back ASAP with a larger crowd. The only thing I would change is location, but driving won’t stop me from coming back.
BACK IN MAY I STARTED A JOB NEAR HERE. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT THEN AND EVERY TIME AFTER! I'VE BEEN HERE A HANDFUL OF TIMES. I'VE TRIED DIFFERENT SELECTIONS FROM THE MENU. NEVER DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FOOD OR SERVICE!
Second time in 3 months and dinner was VERY good. Ordered spaghetti with meat sauce, beef ravioli, and lasagna. House salads were fresh and crisp and tiramisu was perfect. Ordered take home for rest of family and they said, “No! ” Not from there! But they were pleasantly surprised! Seems this restaurant went downhill some years ago but can assure you they’ve VASTLY improved!
Very authentic Italian food Very Very delicious, definitely top notch and will be comming back often. Waiter on top of it and never left our drinks dry. Highly recommend trying them out
Food tasted good but 2 dishes were cold and service was terrible.
Just not worth it for the price, many other options.
I have been wanting to try this Italian place for a while. I was very disappointed in the meal. I ordered the Fettuccine Primavera, and it was not appeasing. Rude Employees…. No pictures because I threw the food away. The House salad is just lettuce…. Never again
Just beautiful. As said in the menu will take a littel while. But the food will be great have patience and the food will make your tongue dance. Happiness across the the experience. And the amoredo sour was made to perfection and size. Will defiantly come again
I am working my way through the menu and so far all has been very good. This is our go to Italian restaurant.
Consistently good. Friendly waitstaff. Reasonably priced. Owner appreciates his customers.
Our first visit and no regrets. Waiter was attentive and friendly. Bread has to be fresh out the oven, so good. Ceasar salad tasted like the dressing was fresh made. Loved the chicken marsala, such a rich flavor. She had the spaghetti with meatballs and the red sauce was thick and a nice amount of garlic. Looking forward to our next visit.
I'm very excited to leave a 5 start review for such a deserving restaurant. Compared to the week know Italian chain, these guys dominate. The wait staff and dining areas were top class for the price. Everything was cleaned, shined and starched.
-No spots on the silverware clean.
-Superbly lain out dining room
- uncomfortably hot food
- reasonable wait time
- incredible value
All in all, it's great to enjoy any meal where the restauran obviously prioritizes the quality of food and properly coordinated recipes, as opposed to price gouging. Menu items span the spectrum from casual to slightly exotic. 2 Appetizers and 2 entrees (with delicious soup / salad, and complimentary bread) came to $70 with tip. We were full prior to the entrees arriving but, continued to eat anyway.
I have been here so many times and every time I have truly enjoyed the food! Don’t forget the wine when you dine in!
