Department Store Macy's reviews
15 Macy's is a shell of what it used to be. Finding service was difficult (although okay once we finally got help), and we were not the only ones needing help. Then everything was marked down for sale prices until we checked out, then nothing was on sale. Products are still good, but it seemed to us that they were readying to close the doors for good.
We returned a few days later to return an item that did not fit and they seemed empty of staff again.
Backstage is the only area worth going to, especially with department stores dying all across the nation. The employees are normally very nice and helpful
It's been almost 2 years since I last came to this location. I don't understand how other people say they received excellent customer service. Maybe they're talking about a different Macy's. I don't know. But this Macy's at the Arlington Highlands used to be (I'm talking about 5 years ago) a much better Macy's. The service representatives actually cared about the customers and cared about their jobs. My wife and I were helping our son pick out a suit. We there over 2 hours trying on different types and the black lady at the counter wouldn't even offer to help. There was another gentleman there by the name of Arthur, and he too was not very helpful. Mr. Arthur used to be one of their top sales representatives (in my opinion) and now he looks like he hates his job and will do his best to help you as little as possible. This location is also poorly maintained. The furniture for example, it's probably been there since Macy's first opened it's doors at this location. For a multimillion dollar company, they should at least have good furniture. And please, for goodness sake change your carpet! Same stain in the same spot from two years ago! C'mon! This Macy's should stand out more than your local competitors. I was afraid to walk on the carpet outside the dressing rooms for fear that I would be stabbed by the countless needles protruding through the carpet. So disappointed.
I was surprised at the friendliness of every salesperson that I dealt with yesterday 2/22/20 and last Monday too. I had to return some things and I knew it would be a little confusing but the lady in the return area was so helpful and so kind and made sure it was done correctly and that I understood. She was amazing. Then I went to lingerie, and the lady there was wonderful. She helped me find everything I needed and was very sweet too. It was a blessing to feel so. 'helped' in a friendly atmosphere.even when I asked directions! The sale prices were very good too. I wish there was a Macy's (with emplyees like these) closer to Waxahachie/Midlothian area!
Salesperson in shoe department was great. Very personable and caring. Tall gentleman wearing glasses.
The location itself is good. It's the employees you need to watch out for. Here's how a conversation went.
Me: hey, can I ask you a question rea-
Employee: no.
Me: oh, do you know where the-
Employee: I DO NOT CARE
I guess she was on break but still.
This place is always my favorite. You can find great items, and the staff are always knowledgeable and friendly. The Clinique counter is my favorite.
Got a terrific buy on 4 tunics! They were on clearance so Insaved $120! Karen, in the kids department, waited on me and she is great!
Be careful not to be screwed especially at that estee lauder spot. A bunch of liars and thieves stole my money. They made me pay for an item that I never received and I when I went to complain about they gave me the turn around. And so called manager Margaret seemed more preoccupied to leave than listen to me! $60 in the air. Never ever again will I purchase anything there! And for anybody doing it then be ready to be screwed over!
I hate the mall so go early if you to avoid the annoying crowds of people. They had some good sales.
Should probably avoid shopping near closing time to avoid having to bother reps about the reward discounts that should show up on account. Some are distracted about finishing their day.
Ugg, why the heck are the prices so much higher than say JC Penny, when they've got the same type of clothing? It makes zero sense... But the selection is good at least.
I love this place, they found my husband's wallet and phone.i believe it was an employee.it was so awesome to know that there are still honest people
The worst macys I've ever been to! Stuff all over the place! My girlfriend said it was like being at a ross store! Doubt I will return.
Found a lot of good deals but the store in places was so messed up couldn't get around in it to things. I use a electric scooter and by things being so messed up and no one around to help made it hard.
