Great place to take the kids and take in the nostalgia. Same track I raced on when I was a kid when they were in Leon Valley.

This is Jim Honeycutt's place. I've been racing 1/24 scale cars on his tracks since the early 80's. Followed him around town since he had his place off Blanco & Jackson-Keller where I was introduced to Womp-Womp cars by a high school friend. I progressed up through NASCAR and Super 16 Flexi chassis cars. He's had his spot on Nachodoches Rd, also over in the old Malibu Grand Prix building on I-10 for a short time, and now he's in the lower level of the Wonderland of Americas Mall (formerly Wonderland Mall). Jim's made his tracks a going concern for decades and he's one of the true veterans of the late 60's slot car scene. When everyone else was bailing on the slot car business, Jim kept at it and now his tracks are an institution in the Texas and San Antonio slot car communities.
Jim invented copper plated steel braid for 1/24 tracks and introduced the world to magnet racing in 1/24 scale.

My friend and I go here a couple times of month to race. It is a very laid back atmosphere & well stocked full of cars/parts.
