Main Event San Antonio West

This was my first time going to main event. My daughter and her husband suggested we go and bowl. So me and my family decided to go. I had my nephew and niece with me from out of town and thought it be fun to have a few beers and bowl this evening. The waitress Rose was very rude. She answered our questions with one word and when we asked about their towers of beer she responded that they didn’t have any. She was not customer friendly at all. She did not seem to want to work for a tip. Then she carded all of us and we had already had 1 round of beers. I understand policy and you can even explain it to me but she didn’t even try. I am 52 years old and I don’t even get carded at Walmart or H‑E‑B. When we asked to speak to a manager he (RJ) told us we were the first to complain about her? Ok! Like I’m the problem. He then began to explain that she was just following corporate policy. At that point I was just done. We left after only being there 1 hour and I will never return. My youngest daughter just celebrated her 16th birthday at the other location off of 281 and 1604 and had an amazing time. Obviously this location 410 and 151 is not anything like it. I waisted my time money there. Never again. I blame this on management.

Not good all bunch of theives in this place they stole a vape out of my family members sweater

Was having a Great time until one of their employees stole my husbands vape from his zipped up jacket. My husband dropped his jacket while we were bowling. The employee said he found it and it felt heavy but, decided to take the jacket into the laser tag because that’s where he found the jacket. (We we’re bowling in lane 1/2 next to the laser tag) after he brought it in there he brought it out to turn into lost and found less Vape pen in pocket. Sad when you can’t even trust employees after spending so much money already for your family! Won’t be going back to the 151 location again! Not only did my husband get his Vape stolen, his Ford truck was broken into in their parking lot. A police officer was waiting for us to let him know. Not a Good Place to go and feel safe!

Main event bowling games skating laser guns you name it food pool table main event is all good to me

Omg I’m sick to my stomach with the worst experience ever. First of all I will say, I’ve been here so many times before and I had always had the best experience, this place ain’t cheap and when you spend your hard earned money on a place that’s worth it then it makes it unforgettable experience. But I went tonight with family from out of town, I told them they needed to come to my favorite place and of course when I go, it’s the most worst experience EVER. Our server Rose or Rosa was so rude, didn’t want to answer any questions we had and when we ask for a tower (which they’ve served us before) she said “NO we don’t have those” very rudely, so I brush it off and continue to bowl, then when it’s time to get our 2nd round of drinks Rose asks us for our ID AGAIN and asks to see my mom (52 year old women), at this point I felt harassed, not to mention my cousin had already ordered with her and she did not care to answer her questions or help with her inquiries, I had it and request a different server and to speak with a manager, that was the worst decision I made because the manager “EJ” could care less about his worker who was real rude, manager tells me “that’s weird I haven’t had any other complaints on her” which tells me that basically I’m a liar. And then proceeded to argue with my 52 year old mom (her first time at main event and LAST time), we get all of our stuff and decide to leave the store because they ruined our time there, when we’re returning our shoes someone approaches my husband and says he’s the general manager “Lawrence” when my husband is telling him the issue he said “I already heard about it and I’m not going down this road with you” then proceeds to walk away with out hearing my husband out. I’m disgusted and disappointed in the management. I will not return again & do wish to speak with someone who can take action and help their store from being destroyed because of these 3 people. I will say Russ who was not our server but was helping with the bowling, he was amazing and so very kind. That kid deserves a raise! But for sure will never return to this main event, I’ll take an extra drive to a more customer friendly main event.

I’m new to San Antonio and I live right around the corner from Main Event so today for my birthday I decided to go there with my kids after work. I walk in and the place is nice. I’m in there wit my two younger kids and we are looking to be seated. There’s no one to seat us so we go to the bar and the lady says pick a table and someone will help me. Well I go sit down with my kids for about 10 mins, no service. People are just walking by us not caring what we need. They were getting ready for some big event I guess. So I go back up to the bartender thinking I could just put a order in there and when I approach her she very rudely tells me I have to wait all the while serving everyone else who’s not my skin color by the way. Me and my kids were the only African Americans in that area so I felt like we were being ignored. Then I asked Shae and she helps take our order and is so nice about everything and made sure we were ok. Thank you for people like her she made my birthday so much better. To the lady at the bar, just because I’m not spending all my money at the bar like the rest of the people doesn’t mean I didn’t have money to spend. Not sure if I’ll go back but the bowling part was fun and shae took the time to make me a cute bday drink. Thanks girl!

The games that needed balls were missing the balls. Staff was nice about refunds but it was too many games with that issue.

I forgot to post this the day of our visit, but my family & I had a great experience at this location. We had a server who was really sweet and patient (we have two small children). Our kids enjoyed themselves and the facility was clean and most games worked. We will definitely visit again.

Bar was busy during Sunday night football, but waitress kept up with making sure drinks were being poured

Went here to go bowling. The place looks cool and the staff were friendly but it was super annoying there were multiple Lanes open and they packed us in with people on all sides of us. Not to mention they were big groups of people and kids and they took our seats when we got up to bowl.

I understand if their busy but all most all Lanes were open, no reason to stack everyone together.

They have wheelchair accessible lower bar great service at the bar by Tina you can tell shes an experience pro dealing w customers I'm disabled in a wheelchair 64 yrs old Tina

Had tons of fun, not too packed. Workers made us feel welcomed and had some fun watching us bowl. Food was pretty good, especially the loaded fries. Definitely would come back again soon.

It packed, yet the place was clean, ordered drinks and food and it was suprising fast service

I booked a party for 20 with unlimited activities and buffet. We'll worth it, but pricy.

It was my first time there and there was no sign on the laser tag room door. I walked in and the young short Hispanic male with long hair. Starting talking to me very disrespectful. Telling me to go outside, because we obviously have a game going on. And I see no one, no signs nothing. He got mad talking about the way I walked in. And I had no clue what was going on and why was he verbally assaulting me. Then he said go outside and he would tell me. I went out the door and he turned around and walked away flipping me the bird. Not knowing I can see him. I said are you going to come out and tell me what’s going on. And show me where the signs are posted. I started recording him and he changed his tone. Looked around and saw there clearly where no signs posted. He then apologized. The manager said they have a problem with their young staff disrespecting older people. Admitted that and the said she would deal with it. Not offering any compensation in anyway for the discrimination and verbal abuse. So here I am writing a review. It’s all true I have video.

My daughter had her gift bag stolen. I guess that’s what’s expected of the people on this side of town.

Had so much fun and the food was really good too! Only problem was the bathrooms were not maintained. No soap at all, broken dispensers or empty.

Awful, bowling machine was broken, we paid for 1 hr, we ended up playing half of it. Balls keep getting stuck, shoes were in really bad condition which we paid for them. Don’t recommend.

We had a good time, my two boys and broth in-law went and played games and shoot some pool. The atmosphere is great and the staff is helpful.
