Mama Margies Mexican Restaurant, San Antonio TX

Mama Margie's usually never let's me down, I will say though, sometimes the guacamole that comes on the side of some dishes is a little brown not fresh like it was from early morning (or even overnight but refrigerated?) It's the little things.but over all usually very very good.

Just like I remembered it I moved away from San Antonio in 2006 I really miss the food. Florida has terrible Mexican food

Always have great tacos I live in Kerrville every time I come to San Antonio I make sure in stop and get my tacos.
What everybody was very very polite and nice and I said I did not need anything to drink when I was ordering but I knew I was probably going to regret that the moment after I said I didn't need a drink and the cashier said I will set you a glass of water up there next year tacos if you would like it she was very sweet that was 1st thing this morning at 8 o'clock and I ended up drinking all the water lol

Caldo had no chicken only carrots, celery, and squash. But the biggest surprise was an extra $. 50. Charge for 2 corn tortillas. I was told it was because "they were home made". I asked if flour were "home made". The answer was yes. I haven't ever heard of anyone charging extre for corn tortillas. When I questioned the manager Omar he said that's the way it is! Unfortunately the corn tortillas we about a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. Don't waste your money!

I'm trying to understand how something as simple as Bean and Cheese tacos can be messed up, also ordered the cheese enchiladas and the cheese in them was horrible.

Been visiting this place as long as I can remember, it is still a favorite and must stop with every visit to San Antonio.

Can't go wrong with bean and cheese tacos with all the chips and salsa you can eat and some of the best sweet tea this side of the Mason/Dixie line!

I’ve always loved mama’s but I’ve only ever gone to the one on south side near H-E-B. Since moving to the north-central side I have had to come to this place. Each time I’ve gone here, there has been an order missing or something wrong with the food. I usually get the beef fajita nachos and when I order here it’s always stale and lacking in cheese and beef. The customer service is fine but I think they should work on there listening skills because the last time I asked for extra napkins they literally gave me one. Just ONE. I’m fine with a few missed orders and some stale chips but when there is a piece of SHARP PLASTIC in my nachos that I bit into, seals the damn deal. Never coming to this place again.

For a late night drive through fast food restaurant the food and service were just fine. I have no complaints other then it is extremely crowded to get through the drive through.

I love the food at Mama Margie's! From their bean and cheese tacos, to their fajitas and chips and queso and dont forget those tasty Margaritas! No matter what I order I'm always pleased with it. And the service is always friendly, polite and quick.

Fast service with quality margaritas. The Friendly staff here deals with a high volume of customers but the wait for food is faster than one would think.

They have really good chicken soup. I was feeling a little under the weather. My sister brought me some. I highly recommend it.

It's okay for the price but it's mainly for family and kids. It's rather noisy to sit in to eat. It's more of a take out place. The food is okay but some are pricy for the portions.

Love that Mama Margies has endless free chips with a variety of salsa's & trimmings. Great margaritas just wish they'd bring back happy hour from 4-9 @ $2.5

This place had horrible customer service and we will never bring our business to this location ever again! Wish I could give them 0 stars. Steer clear of this place.

Nothing wrong with the food but the racist police are on a power trip! A white officer (officer Milton) told black customers to leave before he made an example out of them! Even his fellow officers said he's constantly harassing people of color and on a huge power trip. A report will definitely be filed

Crispy taco shells get soggy way to fast. Drain the juices in the meats prior or get a thicker shell.
