Mama's Restaurant, Tyler TX

It's obvious the manager instilled cleanliness in the minds of employees. In the short time I was trying to eat breakfast a waitress dropped and broke dishes on the floor while cleaing a table. The noise was deafening. Another waitress at the table right behind mine literally threw all the plates & culinary items into tubs. The noise was so annoyingly loud I told her to STOP. Another waitress decided to sweep under my table at my sneakers WHILE I WAS DINING. Another waitress begin mopping with Fabulosa all around me. The place smelled like a restroom. It was all too much and too loud when there are better choices nearby.

This was my first visit to the "new" Momma's.
It was every bit as good as the original, obviously there are some differences but my food was great. The service was just rite, not too much an not too little.
We had 4 people in our group an everyone was served at the same time, food was cooked perfectly.
We'll for sure go back!

We've been here several times and it's usually good. Today the omelet was so dry it didn't even taste right. Our friends had the hamburger steak, Mac and Cheese, and mashed potatoes. The meat and Mac and Cheese were both so dry they couldn't finish them and the potatoes weren't hot enough to melt the little bits of butter in them. It'll be a while before we try it again.

Wife and I came for breakfast for first time, this was our experience.
As I pulled into parking lot, a customer and his wife or girlfriend came out of Mama's, were standing by their vehicle, passenger side, then he started vomiting a lot. I parked and went inside and was met with a young man, I asked if the food was good here? The young man's reply was "I don't know". I told him I asked because a man had vomited in the parking lot just outside the door. He showed us to a table and left, the the waitress came to wait on us, I asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came I told her that a man had vomited outside by the door, she said she would take care of it.
We ordered the same two egg breakfast her with bacon mine with sausage. Coffee was not to my liking, it had a very strong hickory taste. It did not take long to receive our meal, and the waitress was polite. Hashbrowns were cold and very oily, wife's were same and squishy in the middle, also had old grease taste. My sausage links were slightly warm and had a bad taste like it was slightly spoiled, I couldn't eat them. My wife said her bacon was cold and tasted stale like. I decided to eat the eggs with my toast, not happening, the toast was buttered with old tasting oil.
The atmosphere was not comfortable due to high humidity and everything felt tacky and warm. It's like the aircondition was off all night and they turned it on at opening. We arrived at around 8: 30m.
Told waitress about meal and she was apologetic actually took hashbrowns off the ticket, I offered to pay the whole bill but she insisted.
We got up and went the door, yes vomit still there. Looks like they threw some water on it and scattered it a little.
This is our honest review and first and only visit. Hope you have a better one than we did, there were others we noticed that did not eat their meal. There were some that ate it all, maybe for a cleansing.
I do not recommend to eat here, I do recommend a health inspection.

If you're staying at the Marriott across the parking lot and don't want to drive anywhere, then this place isn't to bad but you'll be better off going to IHOP.

I don't know why I was expected something different from this place.the food wasn't bad, just didn't hit the spot.

Don’t go there for breakfast. First walk in and the ceiling is stained with mold. The waitress told my husband that the chicken fried steak and eggs, was real steak, but actually was chopped meat, not steak. The sausage links were tiny. The toast was burnt and the hash browns were raw. Find another place for breakfast.

If you like breakfast spots this is the place to go. I am glad I found it and would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Wonderful! Just wonderful! I had the beef fajita enchiladas. Again, wonderful! My unsweet iced tea, fresh and wonderful. The nice young man who took care of us.wonderful! You will not be disappointed! Don't think about it, just go! When you are leaving, you will say to yourself, "That was wonderful! "

The environment is very calming and welcoming.
Food is 10/10.
A good place to come in and stay for a while.

Greeted immediately. Great vibe and smiling faces. The food was amazing. I live in Dallas, but when I come to Tyler, I'll definitely come back here. Thank you so much for the beautiful cross. Oh, and everything was clean, even the restroom.

Forever to get French toast. Wouldn’t let me order Kids menu but a la cart (More $), food was left in window while waitress sat playing on phone, then waitress rearranged French toast with bare hands without washing her hands. We got up and WE LEFT.

Awesome food with great host! We've gone 2 days in a row to try different foods because everything has been so good! Really good price and great friendly service!

Really saddened that I came to this location that we frequent often and even though states open til 3pm at 237 doors locked and closed. Was just wanting to grab a quick to go order before closed and guessing will need to find another local fav to go. Very disappointed but oh well

Had some lunch here with my family! It was super busy but the food came very quickly and it was delicious. I highly recommend the omlette and the classic bacon and eggs plate. It comes with hashbrowns and pancakes!

Good breakfast, good service, fairly busy for breakfast but we normally don’t have to wait to be seated.
