Manchaca United Methodist Church

I love my Church! I felt (and feel) so welcomed by everyone. Becoming a member has helped ease my homesickness tremendously.

My family and I felt welcome the first time we walked through the church doors! These real people inspire me through authentic love and friendship. I can always count on their fellowship during good and difficult times. God has blessed me with my forever home.

I've lived near this church the past 5 years and was always impressed by the way they add value to our community through the annual events like Fall festival, pumpkin patch, Christmas Tree lot, 5K, food pantry, and Christmas Eve services. Plus, my children have been going to the preschool there for the past couple years, and it's a fantastic Child Development Center. Earlier this year my family began attending this church.and I found out my initial positive impression was correct! I suppose I'm biased (because I was hired by the church) when I talk about how wonderful the church is, but I have to say that Manchaca UMC is a church that welcomes anyone, loves people, and loves God. Those looking for a church home will find so much to appreciate and enjoy with Manchaca UMC.

From the first time we visited Manchaca United Methodist Church (MUMC), we felt welcome and “included”. The Senior Pastor has so much experience to share and the Associate Pastors are young and energetic. ALL of the sermons and Bible Studies are valuable no matter where you are on your spiritual journey. This church not only talks the talk, but it walks the walk. There is care for the needs of the congregation and many ministries that reach out into the community. Ministries such as supporting the students at Akins High School who are currently experiencing homelessness. There is a college tour to help them realize that they really can go to college; and even more help so they too can have a normal high school experience. There is a food pantry for needy families in the community; there is a backpack ministry to help insure there are not students at Menchaca Elementary that go hungry over the weekends; MUMC partners with Austin Habitat for Humanity to help build a home for a deserving family that does not want a hand out, but a hand up. Manchaca UMC is easily a 5 star church.

I'm not religious, but I walk here most mornings. The staff has always been super friendly!
