Maria's Tacos & More, Houston TX

Called on the fly after a run to order some breakfast tacos for us - we were super hungry! Lady (Maria?) seemed pleasant on the phone. But that wasn't the problem. When we got home the tacos were SUPER SMALL and we had ordered machacado tacos. I felt like that 80's Wendy's commercial "Where's the beef!? " There was literally just very few small strips of meat. Pitiful! Almost laughable but too disappointed in this Mexican owned establishment. Shame on you Maria! We won't be returning. Go to Amari's Bakery on Crosstimbers, much MUCH better!

My co- workers are regular customers of Maria's, we were talking about pap's son next door to Maria's. She mentioned that she's been a regular customer for 13, years. Never noticed the place until now, I'm a regular customer now her prices are great you'll, And a good part of it all I pass by her place everyday on my way to work, she's a wonderful person, she's a giver like me I noticed that right away, she's a people person, her food is very Mexico cuisine that's what I love about her, reminder me when I suspend six months in Mexico City, the people so nice and so pleasant.

My husband just told me that the owner gave him his tacos in a bread bag. Who does that? I guess she didn’t have any bags but wow Maria! That’s why he never went back! Shame on you Maria the owner! She also has her regulars and favorites and they get their food first.

Was hoping to get good service and food. Didn’t turn out that way. Waited for more than 45 minutes. People after we ordered were getting their order first. The tacos were extremely small I can tell you the tortillas aren’t home made. The tacos weren’t even the tacos we ordered. Very disappointed never never going back again.

I will start by saying that the huevos Rancheros here are delicious, for $4.99 you get 2 eggs, porkchops, potatoes and beans (the bacon was an extra but they gave to us for free).

The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium, the salsa for the eggs was delicious it had pieces of porkchops, the beans were good the cojita cheese gave it a good flavor, the mashed potatoes were okay they could have used some seasoning, the bacon pieces were very tasty.

The Corn tortillas were good, the flour tortillas not so much they were pretty hard.

Overall the breakfast is delicious and t incredible affordable prices, but this isn't a restaurant I would recommend to eat in, it feels more like a to go kinda place.

The place could definitely use improvements in their dine in area such as real plates, better decorations, napkin dispenser, newer chairs etc.

Now for those that want loving good food, these lady's are amazing! Great food and amazing prices!

Their food is home made and prices are back in the 90's. They are great! A little outfit so not vast service coming out fast. Maria with two workers cook meals fresh from the kitchen.

I'm just going to say if you order over the make sure to verify your order while you're there. I ordered 8 tacos, and all of them were completely wrong. When I called to let her know, her response was that "I'm super busy, and the tacos are only $1. " Very rude lady. I could care less if they were. 50 give the customer what they paid for, not what you felt like giving them. Definitely won't be going there anymore.
