Mario's Mexican Restaurant reviews
17Came here for some breakfast and had some delicious menudo and migas. The staff were friendly, and the menu was simple and easy to understand. Menudo came with some fresh onion, jalapeño, and their habenero salsa was delicious and super spicy. The migas was good and the beans on the side were ok. Only complaint is the menudo was slightly greasy, like they didn’t skim the top, there was a lot of oil floating, and the entrance is very cramped but that is just my opinion, there really isn’t a good solution with the space available.
One of my go to spots for breakfast. I always order the migas and chips and salsa, very good. The only downside to this place is the limited seating. Friendly staff and the owner always seems to be there to check on everyone.
Very much made days weeks earlier was still very cold in the middle. Small sitting area full of old timers. If your in to tasteless food this is the place.
Ordered the super taco. Asked for a substitution of beans instead of egg. Allerguc to eggs. Brought taco potatoes were stone cold if there was a teaspoon of beans I would have been surprised. We live in England and when we come home we always have our breakfast here. I told the waitress about the taco and she pointed out a small smear of beans. I ended ordering a crispy taco and 1 flour tortilla w/ butter. Very poor customer service and cook not giving quality to the food they send out of the kitchen. Bad day in Hutto.
+Update: revisited Mario 's cafe this morning. I had a bean, bacon and cheese taco and my husband had the daily special. I was very pleased with service and food quality. Our food was very good and we will return again. Very pleased
Mario and his staff definitely take care of their patrons.
I make it a point every morning to stop into Mario's. I usually get the breakfast tacos with homemade corn tortillas, eggs and barbacoa with avocado sometimes. I'll add a fresh made pancake a la carte.
It's a small restaurant in Hutto, Tx but massive flavor and great people.
There isn't a whole lot of competition in Hutto, but fortunately the quality was good enough to where I will enjoy returning rather than having no other options.
Stopped in for the first time as I'm always on the hunt for hole in the wall style restaurants
Sweet tea rocks!
Very reasonable lunch prices and portions
Salsa was excellent
Charro beans alittle mushy but still real good
The service is really on point
Will be back!
This is my new favorite place for breakfast tacos in Hutto. Are you still like Ricardo‘s taco and more, which is very good but I’m sorry, but Marios is taking the top spot. Fantastic service food quality was top-notch and the prices are amazing. Right on East Street downtown.
It’s a local spot that you will find many locals day in and day out. From the schools superintendent to the local PD. I’ve been coming here since 2007 and the food is still great. I usually get cup a joe, super taco, and a pancake. Prices are fair and all are treated with respect. If you are in Hutto, it’s a must go. I would suggest the migas, huevos rancheros, súper taco or pancakes.
Great hole in the wall restaurant. Over-the-top service. All employees seemed to have great attitudes. The food was excellent. A constant flow of people into the restaurant. I would definitely recommend it. I had the Ala Mexican Omelet but had them add Chorizo. Great taste.
Never would’ve thought this was my favorite biscuits and gravy but yeah, it is! Their red salsa alone is worth a trip. Small town diner with great food.
Cozy restaurant with big flavors. Definitely worth the wait. Inhad the migas added bacon, menudo and Chorizo egg taco.absolutely delicious!
We had Marios and fajita dinner. Chips were dry and bland, salsa was excellent. Fajitas and cheese enchiladas were passable. Rice and beans rock. Taco and chalupa were great. Service was friendly and prompt. No check, you just pay at the register.
This place is excellent! Super packed this morning and they got me my order quick! I know good food when I get served it too and it was super great! Will eat here again! Kelly, Owner Taco Casa Hutto!
Not worth It had Breakfast today got 18 different tacos. Almost 3.75 each there 4 inch long little bigger than a quarter tacos! ALL TACOS IN ONE BAG NOT LABELED! Than charge me 2.00 for little small pico. NOT WORTH PRICE
Great food. Only place near that actually has real tortillas. We don't mind the small atmosphere. It's usually packed and a little crowded.
The food was very good, they have a small menu and that makes their food very good and although place was full services was fast and hot my new fav mexican food restaurant!
