The office staff was very nice and down to earth. Explain my benefits where I could understand. I will be giving out Referrals.

I did not realize that their policy is to do an extra retina health check and charge extra money compared to other eye doctors in the VSP network. I just needed a more recent prescription at the price advised by VSP. I was not informed about their bonus fee until I arrived for my appointment. I am not using them nor Vision Works next door.

Southpark Meadows They required a $39 retnal scan upsell. I suppose the impatient and angry eye doctor looked at the picture to see if I had any issues but I don't know that the money spent had any value. Doctor was rushed and got frustrated with me during flipping of lenses as I was having a difficult time saying what was clearer she was going so fast just a lousy experience so so stressful. Finally got the glasses and the prescription is wrong. I can see better without them but even with insurance they cost $240. What a waste of money and what a bad experience. Worse is that they have this practice of scanning peoples drivers' license and keeping the picture on the insecure computer database. Identity theft scarry bad practice but even more doing that is illegal in the state of Texas! They are breaking the law! Please don't subject yourself to this place if you don't want extra stress and verbal abuse in your life; want to risk identity theft, waste your money on glasses that don't help, and willingly be a victim of crime: Texas Code § 521.126 prohibits. "accessing, using, compiling, or maintaining a database of electronically readable information derived from an ID. "

I scheduled an appointment two days in advance and provided insurance over the phone as well. They failed to advise me that I would pay $250 as a new patient with them and they would have to go through my medical insurance for me to be seen. All of this should have been said over the phone, but instead time/gas wasted. Will not be coming back.

I have been seeing Dr. Zimmerman for the last couple of years, and I keep coming back because of his professionalism and his explanations throughout the exam. His staff, Josh and Maggie, also provide customer service.

This was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at an optometrist. They got me in last minute on a Friday even with so many other appointments and at the end of the day. Every person I interacted with was so incredibly nice and answered all my questions and not once did I feel rushed or like they didn’t care. I learned more about my eyes than I ever have (and I’m 40) because they all took the time to explain what they were doing. I have always felt rushed (when doing the test where they say “1 or 2”) but not this time. The doctor was thorough and took her time and made me feel heard. She even found something that was on my cornea that should have been found years ago.
All of this to say that I will always come back to this business and I’ll recommend it to every single person I can.

I’ve been here before last yr and I usually make an appointment. This yr I did a walk in and luckily there was an appointment within 20 mins. The receptionist is very nice & professional as well as the other staff. Dr. Zimmerman was very helpful and answered any questions I had.

I want to give a 1 star but the only reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because Dr. Zimmerman was beyond amazing. He treated my kids and I with respect and even took the time to get to know us by asking questions like what our favorite hobbies were ect. He is so amazing. I'm thankful for his kindness and respect!

The receptionist on the other hand made me feel soooo unwelcome. I contemplated on leaving at least 3 times because of the way she had made me feel, but since I had already pulled one of my kids out of school to make this appointment I stayed. It was disappointing that the receptionist had a good conversation with another customer that was checking out but was very dry with us. It felt like she was annoyed by our presence. Even when it was time for me to check out, another employee told her that one of my kids loved going to dentist but was afraid to go to the eye Dr. Him and I laughed and joked about it but not her. She didn't even smile or engage in the conversation. I knew I wasn't exaggerating my feelings when we got in the car and my 8 year old son said "Mom I don't think that lady liked us".

I've been going here for years. Staff has been hit or miss over the years, except, Chris is always great. The office staff was friendly and courtesy. The doctor was pleasant. My only complaint was I waited 35 minutes past my appointment time before I was seen, once I was called back, I was out within 20 minutes. Technically I planned for an hour out of my day for the appointment so I wasn't upset. The thing is, if I had run that late, according to their policy, I would have had to reschedule.

Been coming here for years, absolutely love it.
It’s located in a convenient location, they always treat me in a timely matter and i love the fact that they have availability on the weekends.
I also love that i can pick my glasses right next door. Will continue to come to Master Eye Associates for all my eye care needs

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and knowledgeable. They explained my insurance coverage to me very clearly. When I was initially checked in, the gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and made sure to clean all the equipment that had been previously used. Dr. LaCount is by far the best optometrist I have ever had in my life! I hate the "better or worse" game. I always second guess myself. She was so thorough and made sure my answers were consistent. I told her that at the end of the exam, I felt like this was the most accurate my prescription has EVER been! I usually feel so rushed during that part of the exam. It had been a few years since I had an exam, but I will definitely return there and request Dr. LaCount.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! The drs are very kind and seem to know what they are doing but the “office manager” Maggie who is also the receptionist is completely condescending and will not let you see a dr again if your prescription is not correct the first time…unless you went next door and purchased the overpriced glasses they offer. This place will NOT help you get the glasses you need. We are out a lot of money from trying to give this place a chance, do not make the same mistake.

Was coming back for my annual eye doctor appt and my insurance had changed. I called prior to my apt to update it. When I called the receptionist she was not very friendly and then called back to get more info. When I returned her call she asked me for the info I already provided and I gave it again. She didn't say there was any issue with my new insurance. I came in for the apt and she was rude to me from the start, then she asked for my insurance again that I already provided. I tried to show her my card for my vision and she started calling a provider that was not mine to verify my insurance. I was pretty sure it was wrong but I'm not familiar with all the names and how it works. So I sat there while she called and gave them my info and of course they couldn't find it because it was the wrong company. I showed her my card finally because she didn't ask to see it before and she was like "oh we are out of network with eyemed". I drove all the way to the apt just for her to tell me that even though I provided my insurance info 3 times before this. She was overall very rude and condescending on the phone and the moment I walked in the door. Sad because I liked the doctor but I'll have to find somewhere else because they are out of network now anyways.

Master Eye Associates employees were very professional and helpful. Dr. Zimmerman was knowledgeable and personable. He explained the eye exam process while he examined me. He was very thorough and made me at ease. I would highly recommend this facility and Dr. Zimmerman.

OMG! Front desk is terrible! I have been going to this location for years and have never had a problem, but today was a terrible experience. The Dr was very professional and polite, which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1, while everyone at the front desk was condescending or purposely difficult. The young man that did the tests and brought us to the room was condescending and in a generally “over it” mood, as if we were inconveniencing him. Again the Dr was great, but upon leaving I asked for a stapler to staple the receipt to the prescription. The lady recoiled and said no, which I couldn’t understand. She explained that she couldn’t do that because next door would need to separate the prescription, thus tearing it. I have been wearing glasses for 40 years and know how prescriptions work, I also know that I usually email a copy of the prescription to the manufacturer, which I explained to her. She still refused to let me use the stapler agin referencing the tear that would occur. Then Josh got up, I thought he would correct her and tell her to just let me use the stapler. Instead he starts ushering us out of the door telling us that we don’t need to come back to this business. I guess the front desk doesn’t understand how businesses work. You need customers, and you just lost a family of four for literally no reason other than some unnecessary need to control my copy of the prescription. GFY
