Matsu Sushi Bar reviews
20This place is THE BEST! The food and service are top notch. From the chefs to the wait staff, I have zero complaints. My fiance and I have been coming here for over a year and I don't know what took me so long to post a review. If you're in the area, make sure you check them out.
My favorite place. I came because it’s just close by walking distance. I keep coming because it’s amazing. Best food, best service. Eduardo is the most wonderful server I have ever had at any restaurant. Everything i have tried has been amazing, I can’t specify on dishes, anything you get, you will be pleased. I’ll be back tomorrow!
Andres is a great waiter and is super friendly. I come here pretty often and have never had bad service or bad food. Prices are great and staff is friendly.
Best sushi place in the energy corridor. The staff are the best! So nice and when u become a regular, they even remember your favorite things. Attention to detail 10 starts for us.
Matsu is by far my favorite sushi place here in Houston. Sushi is always fresh and the prices are unbeatable! The service cannot be beat and they will always greet you with a smile:)
Always enjoy Matsu! We are made to feel welcome each and every time we dine. Food is excellent. Service is even better.
Food was really good! Service was nice and quick. We ordered spicy edamame, crab Rangoon, chicken dumplings, Cajun crawfish roll, sunrise, spicy salmon roll, salmon avocado roll & shrimp fried rice all for $50
The BEST sushi restaurant in Houston. They have the best and fastest service. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. You can’t beat their service or their prices with happy hour all day Saturday! Andres is the best server and always makes sure we are taken care of!
Best place I've been in Houston, attentive and fast service, amazing food, great price, literally nothing to complain about
The food is pretty good and there's a surprising amount of selections on the menu.
The staff is incredible and very attentive and friendly. Food is always out pretty quick.
Seating is a little tight but I've never had an issue with getting a table right away.
Happy hour specials to satisfy whatever you're craving, while saving some bucks.
Overall good little place to stop in for sushi.
Amazing food and even better service. Food is always on point, top grade seafood, and the best prices.
This is the sushi spot you need to try and stick to.
Great Food, Great Prices, Amazing fast service! My husband and I are regulars and Andres always has the best attitude and is super friendly, also remembers our orders every time! I would Give it a 6 star if I could.
Unbelievably good! Just pick any combination from their Happy Hour. You will come back from more! Best sushi we've ever had in Houston.
We have been going to Matsu for years. Our favorite sushi place! All the staff is amazing, happy hour has great prices along with amazing food!
Eduardo served us this afternoon and was very pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious. We enjoyed various rolls, appetizers, and a fried rice- everything was served quickly (and hot where applicable!). My favorite item was the kani salad, I found it very refreshing with a good balance of crab to cuke and not too mayo-y.
We'll definitely have to go back.
We went for happy hour. Sushi is pretty basic. Definitely order the garlic edamame that is very good. The chicken and vegetables gyoza are also worth ordering. Happy hour prices are reasonable, but it's very basic (I would compare it to Kroger sushi). Super small and tight inside I felt crowded at times. If you love calamari I would suggest not ordering it, super over fried and look like onion rings. Good if you want quick, nothing fancy sushi.
Great time, the staff is very frirndly. I went around lunch time, it was not too packed. It usually more packed around dinner time
Loved everything about this place! Havent had good sushi in forever ago! The fish is fresh and of great quality. The chef prepared something off the menu and made it just like the original! The sashimi melted in my mouth and the rolls were perfectly made. My waiter was attentive and easy to talk to. Will definitely be coming back
Great! I'm not an expert on sushi, but I like just about everything I have had there. If you are not up for sushi, the kitchen cooks very satisfying selection noodle dishes, Bento boxes, and rice dishes. The atmosphere is great, cozy with great staff.
Great service from andres! The happy hour is so good and the cuts on the sashimi is super thick. The HH prices are definitely best in town. Would recommend to everyone
