Matsuharu Japanese Restaurant reviews
19The food tasted good. However, the atmosphere was subpar. Worst of all, it really upset my stomach.
I can't deny how good their Ramen is. Friendly staff. Just be patient they do get busy but the food is worth it.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in El Paso. The quality of the food is so authentic and every bowl of ramen feels like it’s made with love! Definitely a feel good ramen restaurant! If you love ramen this is the best place hands down! They now accept cash and credit cards and come with a good amount of time! Matsuharu please keep doing what you are doing!
I have been wanting to eat at this place for a long time. The place did not disappoint. The customer service gets a 10/10. There were only two people running the dining room, the register and the expediting. From seating us to getting us our drinks about 5 min passed. I had a lot of questions for our server and he explained everything I needed to know with patience. He made suggestions which were very good. He constantly checked on us without being pushy. The food was AMAZING, we were there only an hour before closing too. The place is small and not in any way fancy, but that kind of made part of the dive asthetic. This will be my go-to Japanese spot as long as it's open. I have nothing bad to say about the place. HIGHLY recommend.
First time and it did not disappoint. The Katsu Chicken Curry was plentiful and so tasty everything we ordered was served hot and the service was awesome. Will be back most definitely
I dare to write in Japanese.
This is a set meal restaurant that is familiar to Japanese people, with an interior that looks like a sushi restaurant counter.
I have only eaten katsudon so far, but it is a katsudon that Japanese people can eat and be satisfied with! The volume is also perfect.
In fact, the miso soup served as a set is smooth and delicious with silken tofu.
Recommended if you miss Japanese food.
As for the service, the clerk, maybe every 5 minutes, is it okay? It's a polite service for me to shout out.
The reason why I deducted a star from the ambience is that the cardboard boxes were piled up in the corner, which was disappointing, and the air conditioner didn't work so it was hot and humid.
Others are great! Everyone please go!
Great food and service. The tonkotsu ramen had red ginger which caught me off gaurd but I really enjoyed it. I did not catch the servers name but he was fast, kind and attentive. Location and building itself could use the TLC but thats how you know they got good food. The wife was in Korea and said the layout and design was really close despite it being Japanese. I liked it regardless. Would definitely recomend and will be visiting in the future.
Food: 1000/10. I ordered the shio ramen (spicy) and it was delicious! The best ramen i’ve had in a while.the broth was so flavorful and had the right spices in there. The staff was so sweet and accommodating! They were amazing to us the whole time I was eating.
This place is a true gem. It’s like walking into a different realm, the ramen is simply the best. I can’t say enough good things about Matsaharu.
Thank you too the wonderful staff for treating us to delicious dinner. Thanks to the chefs who never disappoint, and to Karla for her wonderful service. I absolutely love this restaurant everytime I'm here. She made it better with her smile and upbeat attitude. Thank you all, we loved it so much!
The best Japanese food place in town, hands down. We've been going to Matsuharu since we moved to El Paso, and have yet to find any place that comes close to the taste and quality of food. Not once have we been disappointed! The staff is always so nice, and the food always tastes fresh and delicious. I personally recommend the Takoyaki (fried octopus balls), the ebi fry curry (fried shrimp with curry) or their tonkatsu ramen. However, I would keep in mind, since this place is small and popular, there will likely be a wait time. We often arrive with a line out the door. But the food is so worth it, we don't mind the long drive or waiting for a table. Just something to keep in mind if you're low on time.
Its suppose to be open at 430, there is a sign that states they open at 5, its closed. The building looks condemned.
An absolute gem! Service was amazing, there were only 2 staff members from what I could see and they were very warm and welcoming. I ordered the Katsu curry and the gyoza and o.m. G! The katsu was so flavorful and the gyoza was perfectly cooked! It was a little hot inside the building but the service and food quality made it worth it.
I went here with my dad i brought him here for early fathers day dinner.staff really attentive got served fast and the hostess girls super sweet and very good prices with appetizers and just come early the food is worth the wait the curry my dad love it and gyoza.loved it here will return again.
A hidden gem in the northeast. I didn't know this place existed lol. The ramen was, ugh, soooooo good. I take that back. It was excellent! It does take a little while to get your food, but good things come to those who wait lol. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Well definitely visit again!
Excellent food, very good prices, service without any complaints. The problem is that they are never consistent with their schedule, they always cancel openings on the same day and that does not work for a restaurant.
OG Ramen noodles, as far as I remember this is the only spot that you could get legit ramen, before ramen was a thing, & the wait has always been worth the time.
Take out is unavailable on the weekend, it doesn't say that in your info. Maybe change that.
My girlfriend and I really enjoy ramen and we've had a difficult time finding anything good close to home.all the good spots seemed to be reserved to the west side or the far east side. But not only is this place good and close to home, it's dethroned our past favorite at silver lake ramen, and become our FAVORITE spot. Service is amazing, the food is delicious and the pricing is very fair, especially given the great taste to everything.
