We were out running errands and I asked my 3 year old if he wanted McDonald's. He said no, he wants to eat at this place and pointed to Mauro's. He ate the entire meal of BBQ chicken skewers and rice. This is not a fancy restaurant, but it's clean, the staff is so nice and the food is delicious.

It’s a nice and clean restaurant. It wasnt busy when we went there. It’s a family owned restaurant which makes it special. We had the halo halo desert, it was ok and its not my favorite but I’m glad we gave this restaurant a chance. The owners were very nice.

My husband said about this restaurant: "Order today, get food ToMauro"

Because the food takes too long to come out.

Been coming here a few times over the past year. Look the food is good. But you will experience the worst service and the LONGEST WAIT time for dine in orders. The only reason I come back once in a while is because as a filipino there are not a lot of options in the DFW area to choose from

The last 3 times I've came ive waited 45 to 90 minutes for just 2-3 dishes. The most recent time was close to 2 hours waiting with 4 other tables.

If single individuals walk in or do grubhub they will prioritize those over those already waiting in the resteraunt.

I once did a catering order for 8 trays with a prescheduled pickup time of 3: 30. They did not start cooking up my food until I got there at the pickup time. I didn't leave with my catering order until 730pm almost 4 hours later. Of my 8 dishes they didn't have 2 available which they let me know while waiting. If I didn't have guests over I would have cancelled right there.

I came here on 11/12/23 with my family. We order over $100 and tried a variety of dishes. The adobo was our favorite of all the dishes.

We were not impress with the crispy pata! It tasted like it was old and they just put it in the air fryer to warm it up. Had a weird after taste to it!

Serving size for some of the dishes where very small especially for the pork sisig!

Anyhow my hopes that they will take review and improve, we came to this spot because it had lots of Great reviews. Maybe we came in the wrong day!

Got lumpia to go. The woman out the front was so sweet I really enjoyed having a conversation with her. My food was ready quickly, and the taste was outstanding. When I got home, I was so hungry. I had to eat some of it before I even I’m taking this picture. It’s so good that even my pet stole one.

It is not just a Filipino restaurant, and it also sells Filipino snacks, ice cream and bakery.

Food is hearty and comfort. Beef Caldereta is highly recommended.

The cashier lady is so friendly, helpful and nice.

The environment is clean and simple. Food is served fast, but a little pricey regarding the portion.

We drove 3hrs from Oklahoma to try the Crispy Pata since I was really craving for it. The service was really slow. There were 3 people working when we got there and we waited patiently in line to place our order.

We ordered crispy pata and chicken inasal and went to our table after. 30mins has passed and we still havent got our food. No words from the server/cashier. 10mins later, the server was looking for a table number which is ours so I raised my hand. We were so excited that finally we are getting our food. 5mins later the server hasn’t brought our food still so I went to the counter and asked if our food is ready and I’ll just take it from there cause we’re already hungry.

When we got our food, I am so disappointed with the crispy pata. The portion doesnt seem like an XL and its mostly bones with very little meat added to it. Plus the pork skin has a lot of hair still on it like it wasn’t cleaned and prepped properly.

I like supporting the small business but way too overpriced. The lady behind the xpunter didn't seem to want business as she was watching TV and didnt bother to greet us as we walked in. 3 items cane out to $35, pan de sal, bilo bilo, & pinipig polveron. Me and my wife could have had a nice dinner with just a little more $. Probably not going to come back

Food was 4/5. Service was good. Give yourself ample time. One chef in the kitchen doing everything during my visit. Overall, you’ll get your Filipino food fix if you don’t want to cook.

First off, I hate doing negative reviews.

Pro - food is good.

Con (s) - the service. If you’re Filipino, don’t worry, you’ll get your food hot, fresh, and quick. If you’re any other race, good luck. Been here multiple times and this was definitely the trend. Even if you’re there 20min earlier and ordered first, your food will be given to you 35-40min later and it will be cold because the waitress lets it sit out while serving other Filipino people coming in after you. They will prioritize certain guests unfortunately. You won’t get a cup of a water, basic utensils.and napkins right away, you’ll get that last after your entire order has been brought out (which it’s all already cold by the time the first plate gets to your table). So you’ll sit there for another 10min without utensils. If you need anything extra, don’t expect them to check on you. You’ll need to go to the counter and ask.

My girlfriend politely asked for a small bowl so she can eat some sinigang soup, the waitress gives her a dirty look then hands her the bowl. I asked for an order of bbq chicken and she does the same thing, doesn’t say a word, and never brought it out to us. So I assumed she didn’t place the order. While paying she finally mentions we had the bbq chicken (which had been sitting behind the counter ready in a to-go box). By then we didn’t want it anymore cause she never said anything to us. She then blames us for not telling her we wanted our food (you’d think if we ordered it while dining in, it’ll all come the same way). But she never confirmed with us that it was going to be added to our order. So we obviously didn’t know. Even though by the time we were paying to leave and didn’t want the food anymore, we still payed for it and took it home BECAUSE she said that she was still going to charge us if we didn’t take it. SMFH also the price too damn high for basic dishes and small portions.

We’ve been here over 4 times because we love the food and it reminds us of home, we may not be Filipino but we’re are also of Asian decent. We love to support small and local spots but not coming here anymore. There’s other Filipino spots that’s more welcoming. We’re not letting these rotten experiences ruin our love for Filipino food.

Service was so slow, we waited for our food for about 30 minutes. Looks like they are short staffed. This happened to twice…

I order to go order and told them I was going to pick it up at a specific time 1 hour later. It was not ready and waiting another 20 min. Not huge but a little inconvenient. I got Pork BBQ kabobs 4 sticks $12.95, Pork fried lumpia $9.95, Empenada (cupcake pastry) $8.95. Taste was on par with others.

I am from Southern California where they even have a small area dubbed, "Historic Filipino Town. " Restaurants are plenty decent food is easy to find. I decide I would set out on a journey to find some Filipino eats since relocating to the Plano area. Look no further, I've tried one other Filipino place and this place is it. I ordered the Pinakbet, Sisig (grilled) and Beef Caldereta. Hands down this has been the soul searching food I have been yearning for. For starters I do not know what kind of magic happens beyond those saloon doors but it has to be something of epic proportions. Just for context I am mistiso*. When I say magic their pinakbet is delicious. Hints of shrimp paste and delectable pork pieces, soft egg plant and bitter bitter melon. This right here is tradition. The caldereta through me for a loop, it had hearty beef chunks savory gravy, cook just right vegetables and a hint of curry yes I said it, there is a magician in that kitchen. Last but certainly not least the Sisig, charred crispy to perfection a slight hint of mayo drop kicks you with flavor in the face. I'll be back, my search is over. If I could give (Nanay I believe that is who was cooking today) and Tita in the front 10 stars I would. Thank you for delivering the comforts of growing up back to my taste buds.

The beef kare-kare portion wise is small for the price of $14.95 and too pricey.
The young lady did not check on us time to time with what we need or how we are doing. As a waiter, you have to check your customers sometimes. When you see them finished eating you can ask kindly if you can take the plates away without being asked by customers. You should also ask if they would like more water or to go boxes.
Service wise, i only give 2 stars.
