Mavericks Dance Hall, Pflugerville TX

They told us there was line dancing but after paying the cover and staying for 3.5 hours, there was only ONE line dance. All two-step or one-step. It’s fine if there isn’t, but don’t tell us there is to get us in the door. It was very misleading.

Went to Mavericks the other night for the first time in years. Had a great time and it was just as fun as I remembered! I wish I lived closer, I'd go all the time.

Such a fun place! Everyone is super nice and the staff are amazing. Country music on the inside while they play more hits outside.

We paid $20 for four people to get in, and they wouldn't let our fourth friend in, claiming that his plain white tee-shirt violated their dress code, despite the fact that it isn't listed as a violation. I think it had more to do with the color of his skin, to be quite honest. Also, while they were denying him entry, I saw multiple young girls let in without showing any ID. They definitely lost business tonight.

Had a blast 2- stepping and enjoying sone adult beverages! Average cost on drinks. Small cover. Super crowded but an overall good, fun atmosphere! Parking was a little difficult, so get there early or park wayyyyy out back in the north 40!

Bartenders are excellent. Prisley (dj) is truely the best I have experienced on over 20 years of hitting the country bars

We missed the dance classes. They start at 7pm on Fridays. Wonderful to watch! And a patient gentleman evening took me for a dance. Good times!

Do not like the music selection.what about some real country? George strait. Alan Jackson.clint black.at least a little?

Mavericks was a very clean and spacious dance hall. The staff and bartenders weren't very friendly. I think eye contact and manners go a long way. People should be greeted with a hello and how are ya? A little courtesy goes a long way. Would have given 5 stars for that.

This was our first time at Mavericks. The place is nice, servers were fast and courteous. The music was great. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Maverick's provides country music in their dance hall while other genres of music n games are played on the outside patio

We drove 8 hours from El Paso Texas to be told that my friend couldn’t get in because she was wearing a straight hat, we haven’t checked into our hotel so yes we haven’t done our hair, it’s my bday celebration and this just ruined our night, I thought Austin was all about keeping it unique and weird and yourself but it’s not! Don’t go here, they really don’t care about who you are and what you stand for!

Great for dancing. Crowds are usually a mix of ages. Only negative for me is smoking allowed on the patio.

Friendly bartenders, nice dance floor and it's non-smoking. We had a good time, would definitely be back if we're in the area.

Great place to dance. The music isn't overly loud and the outside bar area has a place for non country dancers.

Nice dance floor and good selection of music. I highly recommend dance lessons on Thursday night!

Lots of fun, with a mix of country and dance music. The inside was nice and cool, and there is a nice deck with patio games outside!

Fun place.country on one side and other side has an open outdoor area with a little of everything to socialize. Can be alot of fun.

First off had to pay $5.00 just to enter. I didn’t mind since I knew it was a dance hall. My group got some beers and were having fun, some of us started playing corn hole outside. Towards the end of the game a girl started walking around with shots. Three of us decided to get one (cash only). Well as we were paying the other side of the corn hole game threw a bean bag (he didn’t realize we were buying shots) and hit the girl on accident. The shot girl spilt a few of her shots and DEMANDED he pay for all the shots he accidentally hit. We thought that was very unfair so my friend asked to speak to a manager. The manager was understanding and willing to pay him HALF OF WHAT HE ACCIDENTLY SPILLED. I get that it was neither of their faults but ultimately it should be on the bar. Being a waitress before I understand it is hard to deal with difficult customers but I feel as if we were very understanding and apologetic. The shot girl was very upset that she had to give away $20 to a customer that didn’t do anything wrong. Maybe $20 was a lot to her but either the manager or shot girl should have stepped up and provided a refund for the shots that were spilt on us. The manger agreed to pay for half of what was spilt and gave us $12.50. The shot girl was extremely rude. We were happy with the agreement of the manager paying at least half, but we would not return.
