I visited this place yesterday and was highly disappointed. I've been several times but the food quality is poor. I ordered the fried chicken. The chicken was not fresh and tasted like they refried the chicken in old grease. The establishment was empty but the server rushed us to order food, pay and leave. The devil eggs were bland. I will not be visiting this place again and wasn't worth the money we spent.

Loved all the GF options, so nice to be able to eat! All the food was fantastic, nice cozy, upscale dive atmosphere

This food was SOOO good. I guess I'll just have to hop on 45 South to get my fix. I'll visit my family while I'm there so I won't seem like such a glut I NEED MORE GREENS & GRITS!

Where do I begin? The food and service is immaculate! I’ve been here 4 times and never disappointed! The fried chicken meal is delicious, collard greens and brussel sprouts are also a great choice! The service is great! A 5-star experience each time! The manager, Rocko and server Julian made our experience here just as great! I would highly recommend!

Go in and no one speaks to you. Finally sit down at the bar and no one acknowledges you. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.

A place we came across on a whim. Friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere. Food, delicious. We had the warm Brussel sprouts and Fried Deviled Eggs. Fancy drinks. We had the Froze. We came during brunch and I'm thinking it wasn't a "Peak Time". Place is on the smaller side & I'm sure it gets crowded. Definitely will come again for brunch! Check them out!

I enjoyed a frozen sangria which was awesome and for main course I got the braised brisket which I was delighted with. The taste was wonderful and the dish was very filling. I also added a side of greens which was pleasant. My boys shared a cheeseburger that was salty. The ambiance was nice and the waitstaff was welcoming

Oh so good! I have a had a lot of fried chicken in my days but this takes the crown. Not overly oily, light crispy texture, juicy flavorful chicken and well paired bubbles. We subbed the potatoes for the Spanish Potatoes… I wouldn’t say they were what I assumed but they were delightful all the same.

The service was stellar and the atmosphere was joyous and peppy. I highly recommend!

Decided to try this place while visiting Houston recently. I was not disappointed at all.

Service: 5/5 no issues at all

Food: 4/5 I had chicken and waffles and I would definitely come back to get them again

Vibe: 5/5 I liked the place even with the good music playing in the background, my friends ands I could still hear each other speak

***! UPDATE 2022: Celebrated my birthday again here and after all these years its STILL FREAKING DELICIOUS! The cooks here put heart and time on every single piece of food they give you so all of it taste amazing. Even the toast was buttered and crisped to perfection! A MUST place to visit!

I haven't been here in 4 years but eaten here for my 26th birthday, Celebrated my best friends 30th here, and ate brunch here and EVERYTHING IS GOOD HERE! The fried chicken is Amazing, waffles delicious, collard greens and mac n cheese delish, love the casual yet upscale environment, and the customer service is good for a crowd, for my birthday I had 13 people there and they made me feel right at home! I live on the West side but will definitely be taking another trip. I hope its still amazing as before!

Needed more flavor in the chicken. I could not eat all the greens alot of hot sauce and vinegar flavor. So so flavor.

Chicken lacked flavor. Flat tasting. Covered pieces with chipotle honey. It really didn't work. Had coffee after meal. It was lukewarm

My cousins and I went for Sunday Funday and everything was great! The service, the food, drinks, atmosphere, etc. The host and bartender were friendly and kept us entertained. I'll definitely be back

This was my first time at this location and I was a little disappointed. The service was excellent, but not so much the food. We ordered the Crispy Deviled Eggs, the Famous Southern Fried Chicken with Collard Greens & Potatoes, Chicken & Waffles, and Jalapeño Cheese Grits.
The crispy deviled eggs were good along with the chicken tenders, waffles, and grits. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened with the collard greens and the potatoes because they were both terrible. The greens tasted like they came out of a can and the potatoes were bland and overcooked. The chicken was good, but it wasn't hot like I expected. Either they forgot to make it H-Town Hot or it just wasn't that spicy.
