McAlister's Deli, McKinney TX

Today I had the nicest employee Dana who was very friendly and helpful she made sure I didn’t need anything from the drop off of the food all the way till the end of my visit. Great customer service thanks again Dana!

I’ve ordered bowl Chili to go after I got home I see the bowl is loaded half way. I’ll leave the comments for you guys!

Would first like to say, McAlister’s is the best! Today I got the pleasure of meeting a new team member that happens to be autistic. He was kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. I just couldn’t understand why someone wasn’t assisting him with the register if he is in training, and it’s the busiest weekend of the summer (tax free weekend). The manager was very kind and understanding, as well as another team member that helped us out. I think he is a great addition to an already awesome location!

I'm giving 1 star for customer service. Unbeknownst to this company, customer service begins when I call in my order. I called in my order today & clearly spelled my name. When I go to pick up my order, the name is not mine. This is a HUGE indicator that no one is listening or cares that I take the time to avoid this annoyance by spelling my name! Uuuggghhh!

My family and I (3 of us) placed our lunch order and found a table. After almost 40 minutes, when our food had still not arrived, I caught the attention of an employee (Gracie) and asked her to check on our order, fearing that we had been forgotten. Gracie returned a few minutes later to report that our order had been "dropped on the floor" and was "being remade. " I asked why were we not informed of this. Reply, "I didn't know about it either till just now. Would y'all like a free dessert? " No apology for the inconvenience and lack of communication. We declined the free desserts. If there is a long delay and/or problem with an order, shouldn't an employee or manager on duty give the customer an update, inform them of the issue, and apologize for the inconvenience? That seems pretty basic to me. The McKinney McAlister's currently has a "now hiring" banner displayed. They clearly do need new employees. One hopes that the new staff members will be properly trained and/or have a fundamental understanding of basic customer service.

My mother and I both ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad, but the chicken was questionable and the avocado was nowhere near ripe enough. McAlister’s usually never disappoints so we ate what we could, but sure enough, we were both up sick all night long.

You must employee people who cannot read or are crooks. This is the 3rd time I ordered a gallon of lemonade and I receive a cup of lemonade. Quite a difference in charge.

This location is absolutely awful. This is the second time ordering from them and they constantly forget several of our items. They forgot three of our sides. We ordered the Pretzel Dogs for our toddler, as they looked so good online, but when we got them they were dried, shriveled, super cold and the outside was burnt and they were not good at all. My croissant sandwich looked like someone had sat on it, the tomato was super soggy, the roast beef was gray and everything tasted awful. One time is a mistake, but to forget so many items in our order twice is ridiculous. Does no one check it? Is no one paying attention? I will not be returning.

I also read that the "owner" seems to leave condescending responses to the negative reviews overly apologizing for their mistakes, but it doesn't seem genuine. Instead of responding to comments and apologizing, try making sure the staff is trained to do there job better.

Food was good and looked pretty busy when we got there but the line moved quickly. Food was served promptly and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. Was asked several times if we needed anything.

Definitely recommend this place!

Oh boy. Let me tell you, between McAlister's and Panera, you better bury me at McAlister's Deli. Food is delicious. Roast beef with horse radish is awesome. Definitely this location exceeds expectations. It was very clean, warm, inviting, and all around a great experience. Food is not like a fast food chain. It didn't bloat and was just enough to satisfy hunger. McAlister's are normally great and this one carries that legacy.

I swear on everything holy, if my bread bowl is left out of my Uber eats order one more time I’m going to lose my mind. I add and pay extra for it every time, and it isn’t included in my delivery every time. I think this is the 5th or 6th time it’s happened. I keep hoping the next time will be the time it’s in there… NOPE!

Be prepared to wait about 30 minutes for your food on busy days. It is worth it though. The only reasons why I gave it a three was because I was missing both of my sides and did not check the bag in store.

Hadn’t been to McAlister’s in years (I used to love it) and I guess I wasn’t missing much. Totally empty on a Saturday. I was served a salad on a flat aluminum tray covered with parchment paper. (?) Every time I tried to mix the dressing in, I got stuck on paper. I also said no croutons (gluten sensitivity) and it was covered in them. Then at one point I took a bite of some clearly rotten greens, which I then had to spit out, and that was it for me. My husband’s sandwich was mediocre at best. We won’t be back.

I have to start off by saying how much I love Mcalister's Deli. I called and ordered a sandwich and tea to go. I spoke to Nick and he was great.had great customer service skills and was very helpful.

Ordered pick 2. Veggie sandwich and garden salad. Sandwich size is like one fifth of Jersey Mike, very minimal avocado, the salad is not served in a special bowl, just thrown into the tray. The vegetables are not fresh. I am still hungry and my stomach is not good with the salad.

I really want to like this place, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean, however every single to go order I’ve ever gotten has been a minimum of 15 minutes late (sometimes even longer). I’d have more sympathy but every other location I’ve ever visited was able to get their orders out in a timely manner.

Calvin is amazing. He made my first trip in, more than memorable. The food is delicious, and came out very quickly. I look forward to returning many, many times! Thank you guys so much!
