McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks reviews
17We had our Christmas party here and OMG it was out of this world.the best food, and the best service I have ever had. I highly recommend having lunch or dinner at this beautiful establishment.
Valet was terrible. Hostesses was more worried about how many in our reservations was there than if we were there to celebrate something. The way staff was overwhelmed with NO HELP. Manager avoided us - he avoided even making eye contact. We sat at 7: 03 and didnt order apps until 7: 27 and didn't get them till
7: 55. Food came an hour later. Bathrooms were dirtier than a truck stop off of Wallisville. Never mind the truck stop was cleaner.
The food was cold. We were so disappointed! Drop almost 1000 bucks. We tipped well because our waitress was doing everything.
Do not come here
Attended an happy hour. The light bites were delicious. Bacon wrapped shrimp was my favorite.
I normally don’t write a bad review unless is necessary.
I was over charged, reached out to the management, I got apology but it has been more that 2 weeks and haven’t received the credit. Every time I called they tell me the note is at their office and they will get to it.
Is has been more than 3 weeks, I got an email requesting details which I submit and no results yet.
NO REFUND HAS BEEN MADE: (neither a reply email from their customer service!
Fish and chips.
Doctor pepper.
Three shrimp scampi.
(Steak sides menu $7)
Nearest table to kitchen noise. Never problem.
I’ve gone here numerous times. Their food is delicious. The last time I went was for an event and we had a private room. The servers were exceptional. They were accommodating and friendly. One server gave great recommendations on drinks. I will definitely go back again.
Terrible service. Rude hostess …she sat us at their worst seats they had right by the restroom …we waited Almost for 20 mins and they didn’t give us no water or anything …I just couldn’t believe it …. Manager passed by 2 times didn’t even ask if we were okay or not we just left terrible experience went next door to flamingos and had the greatest service.won’t never go back to this place
We used to come here for Christmas dinner every year. We wanted to restart the tradition and boy was it a disappointment.
We had to ask for a high chair 3 times (never got one, finally took a chair from the empty table behind us) and never received a booster seat either. The bathroom doesn't have a changing table. I can see past these issues, as this restaurant is probably not inclined to serve small children. It was unfortunate for us, but I recognize they're not the target audience.
Server was friendly, service was nonexistent. Our waters were never refilled, we weren't asked if anyone wanted a second cocktail, and the one party member that ordered from the prix fixe menu was brought their dessert when the rest of us hadn't even been offered a menu. (We were offered spoons though. Cause that's what 6 adults want to do, share a single dessert.) One member's salmon still had skin on it in some spots, and my chocolate bag had a piece of the actual bag stuck in the bottom layer.
We had 4: 30 reservations, weren't sat until almost 5 and it was nearing 5: 30 before we were even given bread.
I get that it sucks to work on Christmas, but if you're going to provide a crummy experience, you could just not be open instead.
We'll keep looking for a place to rekindle our tradition, cause McCormick and Schmick's is no longer it.
Bad service. Waiter came to take our drinks, then food order - didn’t see him till WE asked for the checks.
Food was NOT worth it. Medium steak was dry. Mashed potatoes were good. My boyfriend got 5 Brussels spouts with the Brussels sprouts dish LOL.
At the time I had dinner here, I was skeptical of the 3-star Yelp rating. I’ve never seen a fine dining steakhouse rated this low.
Raw Oysters: 4/5 - The restaurant had 5 different types of oysters from Massachusetts. When ordering different raw oysters, servers typically tell us what’s what. Instead, our server just dropped it off.
Calamari: 4/5 - pretty standard, hard to mess up
Craft Beer Battered Fish & Chips: 2/5 - The batter wasn’t crispy & fish not good.
Center Cut Filet Mignon: 2/5 - My medium rare-ordered steak was medium well, a mistake steakhouses know not to make. It was the worst steak I’ve ever had at a steakhouse, fine dining or casual.
Lobster Tail: 2/5 - It was sad looking.
Lobster Mashed Potatoes: 4/5
Service: 2/5 - I suggested the $88 The Grand Seafood Platter that serves 2-4 people to my wife. Without anyone asking, the server suggested the $198 The High Roller Seafood Platter that serves 5-8. We were a table of 3 adults & 2 young kids. It was a blatant inappropriate upsell without regard for my group that left me with a sour taste. The table wasn’t properly cleared. Old drinks weren’t taken away when new ones were brought. The table looked like a mess. It wasn’t a high end experience.
Ambiance: 3/5
My wife isn’t as critical as I am, but we both said we wouldn’t come back.
This was a pleasant mistake. I went to this restaurant totally by accident I was supposed to be at the restaurant across the street. When I spoke to the front door hostess she pointed me in the right direction and invited me to her restaurant and boy am I glad she did. I told her after our dinner I hated paying the bill as that meant we had to leave the food, the atmosphere, the service was that good. Will be back and I highly recommend it.
The server Diego sucks. We were the only people in the restaurant and he made us wait for our bill. He kept passing us by and we had to flag him down with another server
They gave our reservation away to a bigger company. Then shoved us into a tiny room that only seats 12. We had a party of 14. They put part of our party outside the room while we ate. Awful customer service.
The food was great and our server was awesome. It was fairly empty in yhe restaurant though.
Service was great. Oysters were good but the fish & chips and wedge salad was ok. The wedge iceberg was yellow more than the crisp green you would expect. Not something I would expect from a higher caliber restaurant.
Steaks have a good quality, the service is good, and it’s a good place to celebrate. It’s a bit crowded though.
Made dining reservations for a friends birthday. We decided to arrive early for a cocktail and some appetizers at the bar before being seated. The bar area was maybe 1/4 full, that’s being generous. It took 15 minutes for someone to even address us after sitting. After almost 45 minutes, our appetizers arrived…before the cocktails we ordered 20 minutes prior. The wait staff, much less the unapologetically unprofessional manager, could not have been more unbothered by the situation. Needless to say, we canceled our dining room reservation and took our business elsewhere. Don’t waste your time or hard earned money on this establishment.
