McCoy's Building Supply, Mt Pleasant TX

I love this store they're always GREAT VERY HELPFUL, POLITE, CLEAN, WELL STOCKED, EASY FOR MY WHEELCHAIR? ‍? TO GO ANYWHERE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE PLUS IT'S REALLY NICE HOW GREAT THEY ARE TO MY SERVICE & PROTECTION DOG?

I have never been treated so rudely by an employee as I was at Mccoys on 2-20-2020 in Mt. Pleasant Texas. My husband & I were purchasing some windows using our agricultural tax. Apparently it made this employee mad. As my husband & me were walking to the counter to pay I heard this employee say liars they are liars they are just lying. These windows are not for a chicken house. Y'all must really love your chickens while the other 4 employees all giggled & thought he was quite funny for voicing his opinion. Then I told my husband I didn't want to purchase the windows any longer for how we were being treated I told the employee I heard everything he said. He called me a liar AGAIN! Which made me even madder. As we were arguing the manager shows up and asks whats going on. I ask do you let your employees talk this way to your customers? After talking to the manager he asked what he could do to fix the situation. I said I want an apology. Which the employee did. Which didn't make me feel any better. I felt like the manager was more worried about protecting this (man) employee. I will never do business with a place that lets their employees be rude & disrespectful like McCoy's does.

Employees are nice and helped with all I needed for my deck at home. I will definitely be back for my next building project. Muy buen servicio. Mejor que Lowe's y Home Depot.

Gave 2 stars because I eventually got the blocks I ordered. Though it was like pulling teeth to get them. I heard from an employee that the store in Mt pleasant has gone downhill in the last 2 years, and that they were not surprised that I had this ridiculous experience. If they take more than a month to fulfill a backorder of just 22 concrete pad blocks I don't know how they stand to do anything right. I never received an apology of any kind at any point, and everyone (save one lady) were just plain rude. I'm content with the blocks, and they are supporting my home. So this review is made to report to the community of my experience and relay feedback to management that they have lost a local customer and the business of the builder that referred me. There's plenty of places around the neighborhood that have what McCoy's has, it's just a shame that McCoy's doesn't have the customer service that they do.

Friendly and helpful staff. Everyone had a smile and acted like they were glad to see you.
I will be going there again.

I was greeted when I entered the store and was asked shortly after if I needed any help with finding anything. I haven't had that happen at either of the large discount stores.

Great selection of building materials. Fast friendly service. Nice to be able to get into the gate, pick up the lumber and get back to the job site.
