Meadow Green Apartments, Grand Prairie TX

We moved out and they wanted/are charging us for renovations and damages that we did not do. We moved in with a bullet hole in the window, the stove was in the dining room, the carpet was disgusting broken everything from the drawers to the dishwasher. They had someone come and fix the window and never followed up on any other issue we put in. The man who moved the stove back in place told us this was not move in ready and that LaRhonda screwed us and he quit within the next day. They charged us for things and did not provide a proper invoice and you can hardly read it due to the ink not fully working. This place is ran by slum lord managers. They also dinged us for our BBQ on the porch, mind you we did not BBQ on the porch, they asked us to move it to a designated area, along with the neighbors. They said the fire department was coming by and they stole our BBQs and declined to return them. However, they allow other people to not only store their BBQ on the porch but also cook, in violation of the code. That is only if you are buddy buddy with the managers. They refused to go over any work orders or the walk through from the initial move in and to go over "damages. " Now we are stuck remodeling the apartment because they are unreasonable slum people. We actually returned it in better shape than we received it. Watch out for this place!

Walked in to try to rent here lady locked door in front of me and walked out without speaking in a blue shirt and black pants

I'm a disable visitor and this apartment do not have handicapped access and the visitor parking is all at the front of the apartment by the office.

The office managers are wonderful, they have worked with me and have been understanding. I appreciate who they are and what they do. The maintenance man is amazing too.

Idk what everyone else’s problem was but. I never had an issue as far as communicating during my application process. I spoke with the leasing agent and Rhonda. Rhonda notified me of my approval the same day I applied and worked with me on my deposit. I have not moved in yet but so far this was a smooth experience.

I’ve been a tenant since 2017 at this complex and management has changed throughout. There has been issues with ledgers and books that ultimately were resolved. The new staff is literally impossible to get in contact with. My suggestion is just email, video evidence, phone logs that are time stamped, and certified mail if you are needing documentation proof of delivery and to keep for your records. Strongly suggest reading up on Texas rental laws. The apartments have an odor due to plumbing issues. Part of that reason is because of snakes. There is no body of water nearby besides the pool for a water moccasins to be nearby. The plumbing is awful, the apartment I was renting has flooded in the same area every year. I was on the first floor so the leak was always due to the upstairs neighbor having some kind of leak. I guess the pipes are located above the kitchen. While moving out the ceiling began to leak again over the kitchen light which sounds dangerous because of water and electricity. Every issue I had has been plumbing. I tried calling but no answer and all maintenance requests must be put in through the portal now. Hopefully that means they will try to make some changes. Document everything if you live here. The foundation on the unit I was in is failing. Trying to report issues is a lost cause but document your attempts. As far as the mentality of the tenants some are just nasty. I can not blame management for people not picking up after themselves or their pets. My experience was not a bad one it was not the best. On your renters insurance definitely get flooding. Management contacted me with an attitude to ask why I gave a low rating. For the most part it’s not too bad if you’re okay with cops showing up to the apartments almost every other day. Management is the worst (don’t expect much) unless you’re dealing with the office assistant she’s very sweet and is a pleasure to talk to. If I could I would speak with her instead of Rhonda

Got approved and they said I was able to use offer letter. After going through my application to finalize it they said they couldn’t use the offer letter wasted my time and money go somewhere else. PLEASE

I have been living here in Meadow Green apartments for 5 years now and there have been some ups/downs just like every other Apartment Complexes. The Manager is very Professional, Respectful, and Helpful. The apartments are not new but their not old. Nice location. I'm satisfied.

Edited: I'm leaving the picture below which represents the disgusting state this place was in initially. However, management has been taking swift action to get this place cleaned up.

Rhonda is a truly responsive manager. She has been keeping up with property-wide complaints with limited resources. She has gone above and beyond, even answering the after-hours maintenance line because the property owners haven't hired a full-time caretaker.

Rhonda and Bree in the leasing office are the only reason we're still here.

Stay away from this place! I lived there for 3 + years and I have to say it wasn't as bad but, when the new management took over it became a catastrophic.
Issues you may want to consider: Safety, Outsiders, maintenance, and much more.
Also your car may get crashed. I woke up one day my and I saw that my car got hit. It happened to other person too.
Dogs peeing and pooping everywhere specially in front of your door.
Some other information about the place I am not sure if I can share it.

I just want to start off by staying how wonderful Rhonda the manager and Chris our maintenance man are. They’re both extremely helpful and quick to take care of any needs or emergencies we might have.
I also love our home, I love the floor plan and having such a large space.

Just stay away man, that’s all there is to say. The rent isn’t anywhere near cheap enough to justify choosing this place over other near-by complexes.

I HAVE BEEN HERE LESS THAN 5 MONTHS IVE SENT IN SO MANY WORK ORDERS AND CANT GET NO ONE TO HELP ME. THE OFFICE IS POORLY RAN! IT'S RARE TO SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER. I HAVE COMPLAINED OVER AND OVER ABOUT THE AWFUL STENCH THAT IS IN MY APARTMENT IT COMES AND GOES. SOMETIME IT LASTS A DAY SOMETIMES A WEEK! SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T GO AWAY BUT IT SMELLS LIKE A SEWAGE IN HERE! IM SURE IM NOT THE ONLY TENANT IN THIS APARTMENT THAT HAD THIS ISSUES WHEN I MOVED IN I NOTICED THEY HAD FRESHENERS IN THE AC UNIT BUT IT WAS THE FIRST WEEK I HAD MOVES IN! I AM HAVING MANY ISSUES WITH MY DISHWASHER I WAS ADVISE ID BE GETTING A NEW ONE THEN I SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER AGAIN WEEKS LATER AND SHE CLAIMS SHE FORGOT! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE

Really frustrating when you have an appointment set and you drive 45 minutes get there and nobody's there!

These apartments are okay, the managment is always great and super friendly. But I would NOT recommend living here if you work nights and have to sleep during the daytime. I get woken up multiple mornings a week because of maintenance or other people working around the apartments. There are mornings workers stand right outside my bedroom window and talk as loud as they can for over an hour to the point where I'm wide awake. I'm a super hard sleeper so it's not easy to wake me up, but ever since I've lived here I wake up frustrated constantly. Besides that I like everything else here, the workers are awesome, I understand they are just doing their jobs, just not the place to be if you need to sleep during days.

This place is unorganized and they don't take care of business PERIOD!
~they need better owners and better management alone with maintenance!

Rhonda is great! We haven’t had any problems yet and they are considerate and kind. We love the apartment. It allows us our own space with the loft.
