Mei Wei Taipei Cuisine, Frisco TX

Located within the Ranch 99 at the food court area, this place serves authentic Taiwanese food. The store was clean and operated in a self service manner with wireless beepers. Their medium rare Black Pepper Steak is personally my most favorite under $20 steak in the whole of DFW. It is a rib eye steak that was covered with black pepper sauce and came with pasta, egg and some vegetables. The rib eye steak was fatty and very flavorful. You can soak the pasta in black pepper sauce and it was very nice. Overall, I would highly recommend anyone who wants to try some authentic Taiwanese food to give this place a try.

Terrible experience with this restaurant. I was in a hurry so I asked how long with item takes and the front receptionist told me 6 to 7 minutes before I placed the order. I waited for 30 minutes and the people came after us already got their food and I asked the receptionist to cancel the last item so that I can leave. And he refused to do it and gave me the food in a very hot plastic container. Speechless about the service I got.

This is probably the most legit and authentic Taiwanese place in DFW. Located inside the food court of Ranch 99, this unassuming spot is crazy good. I’m a fan of the braised tofu, loofa, porkchop over rice, fried fish fillets, and more. Tried about 15 dishes at this point, 14 were fantastic and 1 was okay. Great mom and pop owners.

I got A7, Braised Pork Rice. The pork was juicy and delicious. The pork juices seasoned the rice nicely too. The broccoli was a little cold, and the egg was alright. The food came out really fast! This is a quick and casual place.

Taiwanese night market steak was great. It was sizzling hot.

A great spot to get authentic Taiwanese cuisine in the Frisco area. I got the fried pork chop rice, fried chicken leg rice, and salt and pepper chicken.
I wish the meats were a little crispier, all of them were a little on the soft side for the crust, but I appreciate that the meat wasn't tough to bite/eat. The flavor was great and well seasoned. I really like they there wasn't any bone in the meats, making it easier to eat.
The price was great and portion size was large! Definitely worth trying whenever you're in the Frisco area. It's inside the 99 Ranch Supermarket, towards the back of the food court.

Very delicious Taiwan pan fry food, balance between Taiwan style and price. Special their Taiwan night market hot plate steak is a must try item

This used to be my favorite place and very delicious. But the quality of food is not very consistent, we bought braised pork chop rice but it’s too greasy…. The owner needs to look into the reason for sure….

Wanted to check this place out on a Friday morning. Google said it opened at 11am but when we got there at 10am, all light was on and "OPEN" sign was up.

Owner said they originally opened at 11am but was willing to take our order, thank you!

After reading recommendations on their "Night Market Steak with Noodles", that's what we decided to try and it was really good! Served on a sizzling pan, steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare as requested. Noodles tasted good enough with rich black pepper sauce but were even better when dipping into those runny egg yolk.

An impeccable dish with exceptional service. Will definitely go back.
