Memorial Hermann 24-Hour Emergency Care reviews
10 I like memorial hermann I've never been to this particular location, but since it is close by and I'm in hella pain from falling down the stairs 5 hours ago, I was deeply considering this place. Now I think I will go to America's ER, I've been there before and know I will get good care.
Also to memorial hermann do better! Again I like MH but you clearly have some displeased patients and you owe them answers. Specifically people are complaining a lot about the wait time. Explain why the long wait, don't just give generic responses like you have in these poor reviews.
Save your time. If your insurance allows it go to America's ER. Way better service over there, nicer people, cleaner building, and they also don't force people to wear masks still in 2023. These people will.not impressed.
Do not go here unless you're okay with surprise bills!
I went here for chest pain and high BP. I only had a chest x-ray. I was sent a bill for the chest x-ray PLUS the interpretation of the chest x-ray.
I asked beforehand about how I would be charged and no one said that I would be charged for the service and the interpretation. This is a misrepresentation and taking advantage of patients.
They are just using this method so the patients are paying for the equipment rather than the hospital. Don't ever come here unless you are okay with wasting your money.
And if you decide to call their service line to dispute the bill they will either tell you to talk to your insurance or pay the bill. They will not waive any fee.
I recently visited Memorial Hermann 24 Hour Care, which is now classified as an emergency room care facility of level 5 standard (big got you there!). I was disappointed to find that their pricing seemed unreasonably high (been there at least three times so this or something about their billing has recently changed). In the past, this location was known for its excellence, but it has unfortunately become a place where surprise bills and unexpected charges are the norm. Not only did I receive unexpected bills from the facility itself, but separate bills from doctors were also added to the mix, catching me off guard. They also did not properly handle my family's secondary insurance coverage creating a lot of headaches for me and hours on the phone with medical billing. The lack of transparency and the excessive costs make it difficult for me to recommend this location.
TLDR: It's important to be aware that it is likely not an affordable care option for most. The level of care was great, so that is unfortunate and why I gave a 2 instead of 1. Go if your dieing, but otherwise stay clear.
Outstandingly proficient and caring staff. We were there yesterday as my husband had dangerously high blood pressure. These folks DO NOT mess around! They went beyond our expectations with their bedside manners and didn’t leave a stone unturned. The care that he received was top notch. I can’t recommend this place enough- I would give it a thousand stars if I could. We are incredibly fortunate that we were recommended by another facility to go here and are truly, truly grateful to the Dr and his staff for the care that my husband received. We have deemed this experience as the “Golden Ticket” as we are pretty positive they saved his life.
Thank you!
Save yourself time and money. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a medical facility. Every person I encountered was extremely rude and could care less how you’re feeling. The ER was pretty empty so I was seen quickly but was quickly dismissed by every doctor and told nothing was wrong even though Urgent Care sent me to them based on concerning X-rays of my abdomen. I even called back later to inquire about further testing and all the nurses were dismissive and rude as well.
This place was very clean, friendly welcoming and very informative! The doctor took good care of me and went through results thoroughly! Thank you to the team
Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else but here. I went in with my sick 9 year old. He was in so much pain, crying, in the waiting room for 2 hours. I finally went up to the front desk and asked how much longer, I explained my child was so miserable and crying from the pain. She said sorry, she could let the Dr's know but that was it. Finally get called into a room. 45 minutes later, nobody came in. I looked out of my room for a nurse, dr, anybody. A nurse came out from the room across from me, I explained our situation. He clearly did not care, said there were other people waiting as well and they saw the sickest first. I told him I've been in here for almost 3 hours at this point with a crying 9 year old, is that not sick enough? He said he'd go find my Dr. 5 minutes later, Dr shows up. It took him less than 5 minutes to get my child a prescription. Nurse came in shortly after, handed me my papers. I had to ask for a school note. Do not come here unless you have nothing else to do. Nobody seemed to care, or had any kind of compassion or sense of urgency.
The worst emergency room, I had a car accident and the ambulance brought us here at 5: 45 p.m. It's 9: 20 p.m. Average to do the check and go.
If I could give zero stars that would be best! They tell me arrive 2 hours prior to my scheduled appointment time to fill out paperwork and drink the barium sulfate (1hour) before my ct scan. While sitting in the waiting area past my appointment time, ultrasound tech come to take me back for my scan. I told her that I’m having a ct done without contrast I’m suppose to have the barium drink. She’s looks at my order and says “no you don’t, we’ll no I don’t think so, let me ask” She then returns to tell me that I SHOULD have the drink and she’d be back to start my IV. I DONT NEED AN IV WITH THIS SCAN! She goes to get a second opinion. The tech in the next room tells her no IV. She seemed uneducated and confused to the point I was ready to walk out. It made me nervous. She walks me back out into the waiting area as she’s holding my bottle of barium drink in one and the unwrapped straw in her other unsanitized hand. Tells me to have a seat, flicks the straw into the open bottle, and tells me she’ll be back in 45 minutes to get me for my ct.
