Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in League City reviews
15Not friendly. Andy needs to lighten up and make the place feel more welcoming. If you don’t like your job you shouldn’t be there.
I have used this facility for several years and I am so disappointed. Dr Generillo is wonderful, but this is not the first time the staff has proven incompetent!
Friday morning I fell on my stairs and injured my foot.was not sure where to go for treatment. I called the office to ask what should I do office, I called at 9: 30 am, two times and was unable to talk to a person! I left a detailed message about my injury and asked they call back as soon as possible to give me a referral. My call was returned at 5: 00pm! Telling me to go to an Emergency type clinic since it was 5: 00pm! I do not understand why I did not get a call back, or why didn’t they answer their phones at 9: 30am?
The only reason I use this clinic is Dr Generillo IS a good and caring Doctor. Why can’t Memorial Hernan do better with staff? This was so disappointing!
Worst ER experience ever. My wife has been dealing with a severe sore throat to the point of not being able to sleep or eat. She’s a RN in L&D and I’m a paramedic. She sought help via her PCP and prescribed medication. Well symptoms worsened so we sought care at a higher level hoping for possibly more answers or a stronger treatment. Instead we were greeted with a rude front desk worker who thought it was polite to toss an ID back to my wife after registering her. Ran into a sarcastic doctor who thought he was being an educator by suggesting we were ignorant and didn’t understand one dose of PO antibiotics weren’t going to solve the issue. Thankfully the nursing staff were listeners and offered further information to our issue. As a reference this happen 08/07/2023 at approximately 22: 30. Save yourself the time don’t go to this facility. My wife, child, and I would never go back here. Even if you can’t help someone they are visiting your standalone ER facility for care so the least your staff can be is CARING. A person seeking medical assistance shouldn’t leave in tears. Your staff should be ashamed and embarrassed with their bedside manner. Dr. Kim and Lauren at the front desk guessing you are registration… do everyone a favor just find new professions. Also this complaint was verbally expressed to our discharging nurse so I hope she follows through on her word by sending this up the chain of command.
Had 2 experiences with them one in April in April "we can't find nothing wrong" week later went to UTMB FOR SAME ISSUES they found some serious issues that I'm still dealing with to this day & will continue to deal with. Then last night had to return for another reason got the same treatment, no care, no concerns NOTHING. The lady at the front desk showed more concern. With my insurance I have no choice but to come here but I rather pay out of network & go somewhere else then to go back here.
Pros - I was the only patient and received care quickly. They were nice.
Cons - your bill. When I got my EOB and what they billed for general tests was absolutely ridiculously high. They don't discuss the blood tests - had they told me I could have avoided 3 of them saving more than 1k. Even if you have good insurance I wouldn't go here unless you have 100% met your out-of-pocket or have co-insurance that covers you.
In short - they billed more than 5k for an unexplained rash that they couldn't even tell me why or what was happening.
Slow they don’t seem to value time. The whole process took hours to even get the doctor in the room. We came for stitches. Not happy.
The whole point of coming here was to get an accurate MRI. I don’t think the tech does very many IV contrast exams because the contrast didn’t even go into my vein (leaked out all into my elbow) and it had to be the worst IV I have ever had in my life (most painful). I would go elsewhere if you ever need a contrast exam with Tim.
I had a terrible experience today. A rude ER staff and denial in care. I needed pain medication for abdominal cramps because alieve is just doing it anymore. I was offered the same type of medication and was not transferred when I said I wanted to go to the ICU. Just an terrible day. Someone needs to be fired.
I visited Dr. Salam at Oncology Consultants’ League City location within this care center. Personally, I had a very bad overall experience. I think the root of my problem lies with how the support staff or offices deal with insurance. I’ve never had a problem with insurance claims before my visit, but the test Dr. Salam recommended cost near $3000. This money came out of my own pocket because insurance partially denied it and the offices didn’t provide all that my insurance was looking for to support the claim for appeal/approval. Calls weren’t always returned in a manner I'd consider timely and progress (if you can call it that since the test still hasn’t been covered) was very slow. I would not recommend. I get insurance is probably tough to deal with but I think it’s part of the office’s job to know how to deal with them so the tests they recommend are covered. At the very least, they should give the patient a heads-up if a particular test may be contentious with insurance.
Instead, I visited Texas Oncology at their Deke Slayton Cancer Center (Dr still associated with Memorial Hermann). The doctor at Texas Oncology didn’t see the need for the next step Dr. Salam was suggesting and took a different approach. All tests recommended from them have gone through insurance and have been covered so Texas Oncology at Deke Slayton Cancer Center is a good alternative to look at in my opinion.
Joyce Sears: I arrived at 5am approx with complete heart block. The fast actions of the ER nurses and doctor saved my life. Must give credit to League City EMS as well.
Thousands of dollars just for some pain meds and the most basic check up. Did very poorly on trying to figure out why my back was in so much pain.
Dr. Wendy, Nurse Lisa, and Austin were all so very patient with my toddler and I. We both went in sick last night and from check-in to check-out everyone was very sympathetic. Even the radiologist technician that took my daughter’s x-rays was sweet to her. Thank you to you all because neither one of us wanted to be there but you made the experience smooth.
The new ER staff is horrible. This use to be an AMAZING emergency room now the staff is just annoyed, rude, unattentive, unhelpful and have the worst bedside manner. DO NOT COME HERE!
The lady at the front desk was rude, she rolled her eyes and seemed as if she hated her job. When you have to bring a child to the doctor they’re usually already nervous, so being greeted with so much negativity was not helpful. All of the Nurses except Jennifer were rude. The Doctor and Jennifer were the only people who were kind and professional.
I've been coming here for almost 3 years and never had a bad experience. 2 different primary care managers (PCM) one moved to Walgreens up the road. The PCM I have now really knows her stuff and is so friendly and helpful. Thank you Dr Stephanie Crittenden!
