Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital, Houston TX

At 3: 30, I arrived at the ER to find only five people waiting. However, at 6: 16, after waiting for over two hours, the number of patients had increased to 13. Unfortunately, no one was able to answer my questions, and the staff kept telling me to wait without providing any information. I found it frustrating that I couldn't talk to the nurses because they were hiding behind closed doors. While I understand that the registration staff were trying their best, they kept telling me that they would get a nurse for me, but it took 20 minutes for them to do so. It seemed like the staff was only telling me what I needed to hear to get me out of their way. Overall, I had a disappointing experience and felt frustrated with the lack of communication and support.

I went in Tuesday due to me having a really bad headache and a really high fever they ran test and told me everything was negative.came back 2 days later because symptoms have gotten worse, I was on high alert because of my high fever & high heart rate. I’m allergic to penicillin and the er Dr decides it’s a good idea to give me something similar to penicillin and now I have a rash all over my face & body. They couldn’t even tell me what kind of infection I have and they didn’t give me no antibiotics just medication for nausea it’s now Saturday and I’m still not fully okay. I do not recommend this hospital at all it seems like they don’t know what they are doing.

My sister gave birth at this hospital, they are the best! And they have been super nice to her and baby. I really recommend this hospital

My 95 year old mother was at this hospital from April 14th to May 10th 2023, so almost a month. She got the best care! Everyone, from doctors and nurses to food service and housekeeping were so attentive and caring. She had two procedures done during her time there and I’m sure, even though I wasn’t in the operating room, she was well cared for. To everybody who had anything to do with her care, I applaud you! Thank you for all you have done to help her. Only two things I didn’t like: only spoke to a doctor once because they do their rounds so early in the morning and 2) one procedure was done before we were notified. Otherwise, I’m pleased with the care she received.

I had to get a mammogram and diagnostic testing, the staff, from the front desk greeter to check in, and the technicians; all were professional, friendly and truly seem to care about my comfort and I felt seen, heard and valued.

Not a good experience with labor and delivery. Slept on a broken bed for two nights after my C-section and all I was told was that there was no more beds. No communication on discharging.

My husband was hospitalized a week amd I stayed with him he is so amazed and very thankful to all the staff and the doctors especially the staff on the 3rd floor south tower he had a very good experience being hospitalized for the very first time thank you all from Mr. Hernandez room 332 he didnt want to leave

Ended up in the hospital with acute pancreatitis and Diabetic ketoacidosis. While at first the hospital was less than stellar with me being put in the regular hospital area and the nurses having a severe attitude problem I was eventually moved to the ICU where everyone was friendly, caring, and professional. As soon as I was moved to the ICU I began rapidly feeling better and after being in the hospital for 10 days I was released. I have no doubt that without the attentive care of the nurses there I would have been there longer. Thank you

I saw that the reviews here were not great and I was skeptical. However, I went in today for a pre-op appointment and every single person I encountered was wonderful. I have no idea why this hospital is rated so low. My experience was fast, nice, organized, and easy to get to. Thank you nurses and hospital staff for making my experience great!

The worst hospital my wife is in so much pain and had to wait 2 hours for what if they are short handed why don't they hire more help

Took my mom in for chest pain and blood pressure super high. We received excellent customer service from the intake person, to the nurses and doctors in the ER to her nurses on the room floor. The staff in the ER were very professional even with one of their patients who was being rowdy and rude. They showed so much compassion and empathy toward their patients.

This ER room needs a revamp. I took my dad there and he received ok treatment. However, it was people there for over 11 hours with no assistance. I know this because they were there before me and some had resorted to lying on the floor. People were all over the place waiting on help, some had been skipped because the workers did not know they were on the other side of the waiting room because it was overpacked. I had to find a nurse to help an elderly patient crying out for help for more than 10mins. Nurses were on 20ft away, laughing and talking while ignoring her cry for help. They never gave her the call button nor did they give it to my dad. I had to give both of them the call button. Permedics were waiting with patients just as long. This was HORRIBLE. I understand, the Healthcare system is shorthanded and push to the limits but some of these things could have been prevented by having a better organized ER. This was definitely the WORST CASE SCENARIO. I'm sending out prayers to everyone, that had to endure that treatment and also the workers that are really trying to give them best they have.

Worst hospital DO NOT GO UNLESS YOUR DYING! Arrived at 10: 30am and it’s now 6: 32pm and I’m still waiting on my results This is ridiculous this is honestly the worst hospital I have ever been too

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS EMERGENCY ROOM! I came into the ER by ambulance and was placed in the waiting room in a neck brace. (I had just been in a serious car accident). When I arrived, there were already 2 patients waiting and, no nurse at the check in station. I fell asleep in the waiting room for 3-4 HOURS… not once did a nurse come check on me or show any type of concern. When I woke up, the same two patients were still waiting in the ER with me and there was still NO NURSE OR EMPLOYEE in sight. I had to walk down the hall to find someone, and I was rudely escorted back to the front. When I informed them I had been waiting for almost 5 hours, and the lack of attention to all 3 of us waiting… they immediately found a room for me. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! If you need help, or care about your loved one please avoid this ER AT ALL COST. They only provide care when you call them out for abandoning patients in the lobby.

This saddens me to say this but, this hospital is taking a shift for the worse. When my mama gave birth to my little sister in here back in 2006 the staff was amazing. Over this weekend my uncle has been admitted to the hospital for pneumonia and hepatitis B. At the time I wasn’t too worried because I expect the hospital staff to do their jobs. My uncle just called and said the young nurses in the night shift is very unprofessional. At one point one of them told him to shut up. This is very unprofessional. There is no nurse on sight when my uncle needed help. They are always in the staff room laughing and joking around. Also the nurse bring people into the hospital that are not even working there. I would like to encourage the hospital to crack down on this immediately. Please hire nurses that serious about their jobs. Next time I get a call from my uncle that he is being mistreated, I am going to report this incident. This shouldn’t even be happening in a supposedly professional and life saving setting. I urge the hospital to do better.

OT and PT area is very modernized, top of the line equipment. Therapist are skilled, and show concern for patients needs.

Not very organized. I waited for an hour before they saw me for my preop appointment. This is not acceptable when they charge thousands of dollars for procedures. Not to mention, other people who arrived after me were called in earlier. I don’t recommend it.

I came to this hospital as an emergency because my spouse had excruciating pain having to do with the galbladder. Got here at 7pm, and it's currently 12 pm, and all they have done during this time was check the insurance. This place is a joke. I asked if there was anything they could possibly do because I felt that something could happen, and they said that we have 4 people ahead of us now, and 2 hours ago, they said the same thing. The lady said the only people who go straight in are people with real emergencies, i.e, Gunshots and heart attacks. Ok, so my wife feels like shes dying, and they cant even come check on her or take her somewhere where they can monitor and give her medication but they can call in people who have came in after us. I wish I can give it -5 stars. Fuuuk memorial Hermann, I'm never coming here again.
