I recently had an incredibly disheartening experience with Mercedes Benz of College Station that compelled me to share my dissatisfaction with their services. My ordeal began in October 2022 when I paid them a whopping $650.00 a simple $260.00 starter battery replacement. The exorbitant charge for a 15-minute battery change left me feeling like a victim of highway robbery, but hey its a Mercedes right?

Fast forward to December 2023, and the battery they installed failed after a mere 13 months. This failure caused a cascade of electrical issues, forcing me to tow my Mercedes to another dealership and shell out an additional $3,000.00 for repairs. To my dismay, I discovered that they had installed a battery dated 9/21, over 13 months old, in clear violation of their own policy that stipulates batteries should be recycled out after 6 months.

Upon bringing this matter to the attention of a service advisor in at Mercedes Benz College Station, they admitted fault, apologized, and acknowledged providing me with an aged battery. After enduring the costly repairs, I finally retrieved my vehicle from another Mercedes dealership on January 24,2024. At this point, Mercedes Benz of West Houston offered to compensate the costs for previous battery and installation, which I had paid back in 2022. However, I agreed to return the battery to the original service department in College Station.

Regrettably, my decision to return to the College Station service department proved to be a grave mistake. The service manager, Greg, initially agreed to refund the only the costs of the battery. I informed him of my one-hour and thirty-minute commute from the other dealership to facilitate the refund process. Shockingly, while I was more than halfway there, Greg called me from what seemed to be a personal number (not recorded on the dealership's lines) and abruptly rescinded his commitment, claiming that the other dealership should handle the issue.

Despite my threat to escalate the matter to corporate, Greg displayed a blatant disregard for his previous agreement and my valuable time. Having already taken numerous detours due to all the flooding and going out of my way to drive to return the battery my time and gas were wasted. This experience is a stark departure from the exceptional customer service Mercedes Benz prides itself on, leaving me highly disappointed, appalled, and saddened by the lack of integrity and accountability demonstrated by the College Station service department and their management team.

Potential customers should be wary of entrusting their vehicles to a company that fails to uphold its own policies, provides subpar service, and reneges on commitments, and putting out of date electronics in your vehicle. My hope is that Mercedes Benz of College Station takes this feedback seriously and undertakes corrective actions to avoid subjecting other customers to similar distressing experiences.

Matt and Michael are superstars at my local Mercedes Benz dealership in College Station. Really appreciate the service being available here in my area so I don't have to travel to Houston to maintain my vehicle. The show room and the service center are always impeccable and I recommend anyone who needs service to consider them 1st.

Went in because my check engine light came on. They worked with me to get the most affordable option for my GLC. They were polite and very quick with repairs.

I had higher expectations from this dealership, placed an order for a new car with commitment (5k deposit!). Then Kelly, my sale's person, barely followed up about updates and never returned my calls. I have to chase her literally for anything. This is my first holiday with my newborn and I didn't have any car to get around but how would she know if you're not responsive? I showed up to cancel my order and she didn't even know who I was, told me the GM would follow but it was her where she threatened me about not giving back my deposit and using shaming techniques instead of making it right! Luckily, I saw the red flag way ahead and proactively reached out to other places and got my car somewhere else. I would never bring my business there because of the lack of respect of my time and consideration for my needs. I hope this doesn't happen to other customers!

I must say yesterdays experience ranked above all Javier and Michael were Superb I am Truly thankful for Javier willingness to stay for me and wait past 6pm to assure I was taken care of. I was really in distress but talking with these two put my mind on a whole different prespective I look forward to bringing my Business to CS vs The Woodlands there is truly no place like home again Thanks Guys

This is definitely the best Mercedes Benz service centre among the ones in the Texas. Me always had Matt as my service advisor, he is always so nice and professional.

Had an issue with windshield wiper replacement. I gave some time to ensure they were “broken in, ” and was still having issues. Took it in, and they were able to determine that the wipers weren’t as malleable as they should be. They replaced them, and everything is great! Good communication from advisor, and I will bring my vehicle back if I have other concerns.

I’ll start off by saying I have a MB that I bought before the dealership opened up in College Station, so I can’t speak to the buyer experience. My MB just turned 10 years old and anything plastic is just rotting away. That’s not the dealers fault, but what I have a problem with is this dealership doesn’t have any parts. I also get that dealers can’t just sit on parts for ages. That’s why most dealerships have a parts network. I tried calling parts twice and got no answer (this is pretty common across most MB dealerships I’ve found), so I went up there. To speed things up, I already had the parts numbers ready. I told the parts guy I had a feeling they aren’t going to have the part so I wanted to see if anybody might have the part in network. He said “That’s not really what we are here for…” - I thought that was odd but moved on and gave him the part number. He looked it up and told me the closest place that had it is Fort Worth. Then he made sure to tell me “he did that out of courtesy”. The guy acted like I was making him jump through hoops when I just wanted basic customer service. Any other car dealer I go to in town, they can usually tell me what the next closest dealer is that has the parts - no problem. Those dealers can usually get me a part by the next day too. Every part that I’ve tried to get from the MB in College Station has been estimated to take 2-4 days for them to receive the parts. So I usually end up driving to Houston to buy parts so my vehicle isn’t down for a week.

So if I can’t even get the basic customer service, they never have parts in stock, and I can’t even get parts in a timely manner, why would I even buy a car from here?

Excellent customer service while I had trouble during travel. My local dealership was not as helpful, and I plan to return to the College Station dealership for future service and purchases.

I am once again impressed with the staff of the service department. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, kept me updated on the progress. Matt was my service advisor who seems to be an honest and hardworking young man.
