I’m not one to leave bad reviews, however being disrespected and treated the way I was is entirely unacceptable. Maxwell was the reason I didn’t even bother to spend a dollar here. If management had any sense of keeping a reputable restaurant, it amazes me they would even have someone like him working behind their bar. If management wants to provide a way for me to explain this review I will gladly do so. Nothing else needs to be said here.

So the food was fantastic. Drinks were great as well. I got the wings and they were top 3 wings for sure. The service was lacking. The bartender didn’t seem familiar with the menu at all. She couldn’t recommend me anything. So I went based off of the person sitting next to me. May have been an off day for her but even when I came in I wasn’t greeted so I walked to the bar to order. If they get the service piece situated they will be a go to spot for me. Delicious food!

Good food and good service for a private event. I would recommend this place as a good dinner spot or small events.

Place is conviniently located inside the Westin but facing outdoors in front of the convention center. May get a lot of traffic. Food is not good. We had the green pozole, which lacked flavor, I asked for limes and chili flakes, just as you eat pozole, they did not have chili and the lime was dry and they only gave me a mini wedge. Clearly the chef does not know how to serve pozole. No oregano at all on top. For the POLLO CON MOLE, its a joke. There is no MOLE but a little attempt of it on the side and does not taste like mole at all. Dont ask for that. The mini chimichangas are cute but lack flavor. Over all, I would not come for the food but only if Im starving and its the only option open or available at the moment, and would probably get some texmex nachos that looked ok at another table.

From the moment you step into Mesa Mezcal, located in the luxurious Westin hotel in Las Colinas, Texas, you are transported into a world of authentic Mexican cuisine and culture. This restaurant is a true gem, offering an unforgettable dining experience that is as vibrant and rich as the country it represents.

The ambiance at Mesa Mezcal is nothing short of spectacular. The decor is a tasteful blend of traditional Mexican elements and contemporary design, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious, yet intimate, making it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.

The menu at Mesa Mezcal is a culinary journey through Mexico. Each dish is a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavors that are both bold and nuanced. The chefs have done an exceptional job of balancing traditional Mexican recipes with innovative culinary techniques. The result is a menu that is familiar yet exciting, with dishes that cater to a wide range of palates.

The standout for me was the Mezcal Marinated Steak, a dish that was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The accompanying sides were equally impressive, complementing the steak beautifully. The Guacamole prepared tableside was a delightful spectacle and tasted as good as it looked. The Tacos Al Pastor, with their succulent pork and tangy pineapple, were a revelation.

The bar at Mesa Mezcal deserves a special mention. The selection of Mezcals and Tequilas is extensive, and the cocktails are expertly crafted. The signature Mezcal Margarita is a must-try, with its smoky undertones and refreshing citrus notes.

The service at Mesa Mezcal is top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience. They are more than happy to guide you through the menu and make recommendations based on your preferences.

Mesa Mezcal is a shining star in the Westin hotel's culinary offerings. It is a place where the food, ambiance, and service come together to create a dining experience that is truly memorable. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Las Colinas, Texas, a meal at Mesa Mezcal is an absolute must.

Waited to be seated. Was told that it was a breakfast buffet and was not provided menus. Basic items on the buffet. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, grits, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy. They did have an omlette station. Waited on coffee and silverware to eat. Came to the end to pay the bill and was shocked to pay $100 for breakfast for 3 adults and a child. Didn't get an itemized bill so never knew how much we paid per person. Definitely won't be coming back.

Inside hotel. Valet was only parking option. Food was good. Chips and salsa are not complimentary like other Mexican restaurants.

The first night I ordered an appetizer and it never came out? Tonight I had 2 people ask me if “I was alright” and I told them both I was trying to order a drink and they just walked passed me and didn’t help me.
I’m not sure where the disconnect is but this place needs some help.

The breakfast here is delightful. All you can eat Buffett with fresh options and brisket tacos that were delicious. They bring you a thermos of coffee so you aren’t constantly asking for more and they automatically bring milk for my coffee which was wonderful.

Went to this restaurant while staying at the Westin for a conference. They only offered a “special menu” for the conference which had around 5 food options. We got chicken strips and a quesadilla, and let me tell you it was some of the worst food we’ve had in a long time. The chicken strips tasted like freezer burnt Tyson nuggets, and the tiny Quesadilla looked and tasted like it had been microwaved. Both items were so bad we decided to order delivery from other restaurants for the rest of our stay. We also payed an extraordinary price for this trash food, somewhere in the ballpark of $56.

If you go to the bar, ask for Kenneth, ask him for a Spicy Margarita. BEST margarita I've EVER had! So order it, enjoy, and tip a great bartender!

Horrible experience. The waitress did not care to accommodate. One hour for one Round of drinks for a table of 8.

Even received 2 bills for drinks that was not served. Do not recommend. Never will return. Manager was just as helpful as waitress.

Stopped in during happy hour after a long day. Ambiance was relaxing. Staff was friendly and attentive. Mole Nachos were everything. Absolutely recommended for food and drinks.
