I have been to MezzeMe twice, and both times were at the end of long, hard days. Both times, I stumbled in, sweating like a stuck pig from exhaustion, with all the good in the world seeming a fading shadow. Both times, by the end of the meal, my faith in humanity was restored.

Simply put, MezzeMe is a masterclass in restaurants. I'll begin with the food. The pita is fresh, fluffy, and has a wonderful, springy chew. It is flavorful without distracting from whatever dip or meat it is carrying. The vegetables are incredible - the hummus might be the best I've had, with a silky smoothness and robust flavor that doesn't overpower you even if you take a scoop that would be generous at an ice-cream parlor all at once. The red pepper hummus is especially noteworthy, winning over not one but two diners who generally dislike red pepper hummus. The shakshuka is fresh and herby, and the pickled cabbage is the perfect snarky sidekick for whatever you're currently taking a bite of - zesty, tangy, and just a little crisp. The olives are briny and tangy, but despite being flavor-packed, you can pop one directly in your mouth without the sourness overcoming you. The tzatziki is incredibly fresh and bright. The meat dishes aren't to be overlooked either - the döner is delicate and mouth-wateringly savory, the köfta and adana are assertive and perfectly-spiced (with just a hint of mint showing through to round out the flavor to perfection), and the 48-hour marinated chicken thigh had me wondering why chicken was ever cooked any other way.

The service is incredible. The staff are friendly, patient, and their rapport is great. The hybrid counter-service waited-tables is a clever idea that lets customers experience full service without taking up tables while considering what to order. It felt like as soon as I sat down, the food was already on the way. I'd especially like to give a shout-out to Mehmet, who was incredibly nice!

The inside of the restaurant is great too. There's a beautiful collection of teacups on a wall at the counter, elegant light fixtures, and an atmosphere that feels just a little fancy without being formal. The inside is loud but not deafening, and the general air of the place is very friendly. There's a television that doesn't overpower the space, catering to diners who both prefer and avoid TVs inside of the restaurant.

Finally, the prices are extremely reasonable. For 40 dollars before tax and tip, you can get a selection of dips and meats that are enough for 4 average people, or 2 starving rabid wombats like me.

Overall, MezzeMe is an incredible restaurant. It's the best Turkish food I have ever had, bar none, and its incredible service and masterful restaurant design bring it to the next level. Add in reasonable prices, and a visit to MezzeMe is more than a good idea: it's just common sense.

Alex & Joel guided my first ever experience at Mezzeme today & I have not one bad thing to say! I ordered the Lamb Beyti as an entree, the Kunefe for dessert, and I paired both dishes with the red Turkish wine option, Yakut. The food and wine paired wonderfully! This restaurant has a relaxed lunch vibe so the food and service quality really shocked me.

Mezzeme restaurant is an interesting place to go to for a change in Austin. The food reminded me of what I had during a trip to Israel years ago. They offer a wide selection from the Mediterranean cuisine, including some drinks. It would be great if they can add more wine options. Price is relatively high compared to competition and to similar restaurants in other cities around the country. But my 4 stars is mainly for Lahmacun that was disappointing and nothing like what I had in other places; the rest of the food was great otherwise. I like to see this place grow and improve.

Amazing! This was our first time coming here and will definitely be back, the truffle feta fries were to die for and I love that they bring out a pita starter before your meal. The shrimp was so flavorful on my salad and the lamb bayti was incredible! The staff was friendly and can’t wait to come back again and try more things on the menu!

We got Chick me out, no little lambs (forgot the name) both came with rice and you get Harissa sauce in Lamb while garlic yogurt with Chicken. Both were really delicious. We also got Baklava for the dessert and it is one of the most balanced dessert I have had in a while.
Also their Adana wrap is amazing as well.
Big thumbs up!

I usually love Mezzeme and think the portions are awesome but I ordered through door dash (which is way more expensive than in person) and I was given about half of what I usually get in person. Really disappointed with ordering online but I would go back only in person.

Extremely happy to have such a good Mediterranean/Turkish restaurant in Austin; we certainly need more diversity in Austin. Mezzeme offers authentic Turkish and Mediterranean food at a very reasonable price. Service was great, staff was kind, atmosphere was pleasant, and food was yummy. This is a restaurant that you can come at least once a month and enjoy their food.

Great place to taste Turkish food. I can recommend you their lahmacun, pastirma pide and lentil soup. We also like the ambience. They play traditional Turkish music mostly from the band, Ince Saz. Staff is very kind and polite. There is not that many places in Austin where you can try real food, not only Turkish food, I mean real food. MezzeMe deserves every penny you spend for your food. The surrounding environment is also very nice to take a little walk after eating.

All the dishes were delicious and delivered in a timely manner. The staff and managing service were very kind and friendly. The prices were also reasonable compared to the serving size. Everything was perfect, I would highly recommend coming here.

Needs improvement. The servings are small but delicious. The counter service are dismissive. The atmosphere: customers swarmed around the counter, anxiously waiting for a sign that out anyone behind the counter knows what they are doing! In my case, I had to persist. Not a stress-free dining experience.

High quality, delicious Mediterranean food! My wife and I love this place. You're definitely going to spend a little more here than other Mediterranean restaurants but the quality of the food is really high. Their takeout is a little slow, so I recommend ordering ahead. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

MezzeMe restaurant serves incredible Adana kebabs, and I want to express my gratitude to the employee named Umut for the excellent service. Amazing Adana kebab and sides are so fresh. If you are looking for the original taste, you should come and eat here. Thank you MezzeMe! #AdanaKebab

I expected a more traditional Turkish restaurant but this one’s good! The refillable Ayran is the best thing! Turkish Tea is good also. Baklava came with whipped cream which was really weird and threw me off. Never have I seen it that way.

Turkish restaurants are hard to come by in Austin and MezzeMe knocks it out of the park. A big fan of their pita and hummus and doner was amazing! Even their chick me out with crazy rice was a hit. The Turkish pizza was ok but a little dry for me and the fried chicken was a little too fried and dry. I’ll stick with the authentic menu items and you will love it. It was a little crowded when we got there and they don’t take reservations so might be hard to get for bigger groups. Parking is a little hard to find. The service is great and I’ll highly recommend it.

Their "sucuklu pide" is awesome as well as their delicious "İskender". Compliments to the chef and the staff! Try it. You won't get disappointed.

First time trying out MezzeMe. I've read great reviews but wanting to check it out myself. I tried the iskender kabab plate. It was thin slices of beef/lamb on top of thick pieces of pita bread with warm tomato sauce on top and yogurt on the side. Taste: delicious. Presentation: on point. Ambiance: excellent. Service: great. Overall 10/10. I was also offered Turkish coffee. The taste was very strong for me so I added some sugar to it. Everyone I interacted with was very nice. You order up front then they bring the food to your table. I also ordered borek (cheese pie) to-go. It comes with 3 pieces. I plan on bringing that home for my family. They have a lunch special (which I didn't see until after I ordered). It's M-F from 11-2 and includes soup or salad and a half pita sandwich. Best part of the restaurant is all the meat/chicken is halal. The only thing that those who eat halal might not like is they sell alcohol.
