MF Sushi reviews
16Strong sushi game here. Great ambiance and definitely can tell people come here as an occasion spot. 4.5/5 — missing half a star because I think for the price, the technique could be just a touch more delicate and refined.
Came with a friend, and it was the best sushi I've had yet. I've never really understood spending hundreds on sushi, and I usually go to a sushi place much closer to me, called Hokkaido. But I decided to go here with a friend because she was raving about how good it was. She wasn't exaggerating at all, the food is seriously good. Did not order the Omakase, but the starters and nigiri were amazing. Would probably come back for when I'm feeling a fancy date, but definitely not my "average night out" considering the price. Worth every cent though.
We had several chef selections and the octopus. Everything was amazing and very flavorful. The portions are slightly smaller. Their take on an old fashion was great. We will definitely be returning.
MF SUSHI is one of the best sushi restaurants in Houston, if not the best
The service, the vibe & the of the team's honesty is just amazing. I have been there multiple times and will return
For the money, this is hands down the best sushi place in Houston. Roka Akor is better but about 30% more expensive. Almost all the dishes here are excellent. Can’t go wrong.
Didn't really have the food, but certainly enjoyed the bar. A little pricey, but it's definitely worth it!
My experience was flawless, everything from the ambiance to the service to the food quality was impeccable. Highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar to watch the magic happen.
I love the mix of traditional Japanese menu items blended with more modern flavor pairings. This ensures there are dishes to please everyone, no matter their sushi experience level:)
Blown away by my first experience and think I've found my new #1 sushi spot in Houston.
Made reservations and arrived a little earlier than expected, the hostesses advised we go to the bar for a drink while we wait for our table. The bartender, Jackie, never acknowledged us and she saw us standing there for a good 10-15 mins. When I tried to grab her attention she simply turned her back and walked away. I was excited to try this place out but was so disappointed with the customer service, we decided to leave and ended up at Kata Robata. Kata Robata is simply the best in all aspects, go there instead!
Everything was a delicacy.
Sushi, tuna toppers, toasted muscles, old fashion, and espresso martini!
Your tastebuds will have party
Place is overrated. I arrived a few mins earlier than my scheduled reservation time and the hostesses advised my guest and I to step to the bar for a drink while we wait. Jackie the bartender blatantly ignored us. She saw us standing for quite some time. We tried ordering twice with her and she continued to blatantly ignore us. Don’t come to this establishment, there are better sushi places in Houston! The customer service is not it.
30 min wait even with reservation. Over 2 hours to finish dining. Would not recommend on tight schedule
A great environment for upscale sushi. The price tag might be high for these tasty delights, but you really get what you pay for. Definitely looking to coming back soon.
MF Sushi (5.5/5) is one of the finest sushi restaurants in Houston. I highly recommend the salmon sashimi (5/5), avocado ball appetizer (5/5), King roll (5/5) and wagyu skewers (5/5). You really can't go wrong since the food is so amazing, just make sure to book a reservation early because it is a popular spot.
Always amazing quality sushi. Super fresh and flavorful and excellent service to top it off. Can’t recommend enough for a great ambiance.
Excellent Sushi, presentation by servers were meh. Could have been a much better experience with some instructions, explanations, an extra few seconds setting and removing dishes. Wine came out after third dish. Servers were rushed when serving. Didn’t really get a good intro at the very beginning either. Definitely not a 5 star experience.
Incorrect wine, twice.
Ordered the tasting menu so that the chef could select for us. $150/pp
Double date, everyone’s first time. Everyone was disappointed.
Excellent were: uni, truffle salmon, rice on nigiri
Not so good: tempura lobster, spider hand roll
We really wanted to love this place. Photos on another phone, will post later.
