Mi Casa Mexican Cafe LLC reviews
17The salsa that we got with the chips at the beginning were very flavorful. And that's where the flavor ended. There's absolutely no flavor in anything on anybody's dish. Would not recommend.
We were disappointed to find out that this restaurant was no longer a Los Cucos. It was our very favorite Tex-Mex spot in Matagorda County. Mi Casa's food didn't compare at all. The green sauce was runny and the salsa too spicy (I have lived in Texas for over 30 years so not new to what is good salsa). The waitress acted like she was doing us a favor to take our order. They were not busy but took quite a while to get our order.
I suggest Nobody eat there The food was way overpriced for 2 people They're sauce it was like tomato paste The chimney changa was like ground beef like baby food Ground Run the other direction
A nice and reasonably priced Mexican restaurant in Palacios. Everything on the menu is pretty good.
There are two Mexican food restaurants in Palacios… my favorite is officially PMR. The margaritas are okay at Mi Casa but they advertise Happy Hour Mondays and Tuesdays… but only if you purchase food I guess? If there are only two Mexican restaurants I would think they want to be competitive? PMR does happy hour regardless. We did get an appetizer and two margs each and I always tip at least 10$ if my tab is under 20$… so I am not asking for a super cheap tab to tip less…. I just enjoy a good happy hour with good service. We had to wait quite some time to even order our second and we were the only people inside. They also have no air conditioning which I’m okay with but might be a game changer for some.
When ever I'm in town my family and I stop by and eat here. Love there cold beer and strong margaritas. The quail plate is my wife and I all time favorite! I recommend trying it. Service is polite and fast
We came in and we were wanting some good Mexican food. We were told to sit anywhere. We should've sat in the back with the locals because the waitress kept going back there. We were given a menu and our drinks and then they just ignored us. We got chips and hot sauce. I opened my napkin and my fork was stuck to it. They should have brought out our drinks first then the chips and salsa. I don't know how many they walked past us. It is a shame. How hard would've it have been to take our order. We knew what we wanted.
We got beef fajitas for 2 to go, it was soooo tender and flavorful! I never like the guacamole at restaurants, but it was to die for, and the beans and rice were the best I've ever had. The chips and salsa was also Heavenly. My husband said it was all the best we've ever had anywhere! I agree!
If you're drinking coffee you get two refills and that's it we got charged extra for the third glass of tea
Need to change hours if yall can't even answer yalls phone besides turning off the lights when I'm just about to open the door to the restaurant. Shame shame lost a customer and money.
I can’t comment on any other dish or service other than what I received. However, I had the catfish and top shelf margaritas on the rocks. Service was prompt and aboveboard. No complaints. Catfish was filet and smothered in a creamy cheese sauce that I found remarkable. Served with authentic pico, rice, beans, and tortillas. Margaritas were perfect. Barely a hint of green which to me is a true top shelf drink, tasted great. I had no problem with the salsa served with chips. Price? I was surprised how reasonable considering the food and quality.
Not recommending to eat at this place. Food is very tasteless, plain and expensive! Not going back there for sure!
Little pricey but the food was worth it. I had fajita tacos and they were tender and good flavor. My brother had a shrimp dish and had 8 shrimp that were fresh and maybe 20-25 count. Not very big but not tiny. Lots of vegetables and awesome tortillas. About 14 a plate
I was visiting a friends Beachhouse and came across this little gem, first off, there wait staff was very friendly, secondly the chips and salsa were fantastic and third I’m always on the search for a really good Carnitas and this place did not disappoint they also had homemade flour tortillas
Never had a chance to eat there, they didn't let us in. However, a couple who I presume are locals went right in.
My favorite Mexican food ever! Staff is always very friendly. They chips and salsa are delicious (especially the green one).
I love the cheese enchiladas although my husband and I usually share the beef and chicken fajitas for two. The fajitas are so good! I also love the beans (both charro and refried) and the rice. I always get extra. Tortillas, both corn and flour, are homemade.
So far, no other Mexican restaurant I’ve been too has been as good as Mi Casa. If you want the best Mexican food, Mi Casa is the place.
I really don't recommend this place tasteless. The food is only in the broths. Seafood.
