Mi Dia From Scratch, Plano TX

Had a family dinner here - a familiar spot we enjoy and have been to since opening. Unfortunately had a very poor customer service experience during the evening however our waiter, Dylan was very good. The manager, Miguel totally turned around our our dining experience and was exceptional! Miguel went over and beyond and truly cares about his guests so thanks to him we will return! Thank you so much Miguel.

10/10 would recommend! Really good food, great service, super nice manager. We are on vacation and this was our first time in and the manager brought us churros! They were delicious! We will definitely be back the next time we visit Texas.

It's been since 2019 since we were able to stop at Mí Día to have dinner. Once again.awesome! I love this restaurant! This is a different location we visited this time, but still, everything was Top Notch. Blanca was our server, and she was great! 10/10 we will always eat here when we come through this area.

You would expect the food to taste a lot better than it does being that this a more upscale Latin cuisine restaurant. My sea bass tacos weren’t flavorful at all and the fondue appetizer we had was lackluster. Maybe I just didn’t order something tasty. But in my opinion these tacos weren’t worth $26 based on the taste. No flavor at all.

We were there last night for birthday dinner and again this morning for our Father’s Day brunch and not only is the food amazing; the atmosphere was great and the place itself beautiful. However, the service is above all why we continue to return. This morning our server was Miguel, he was just wonderful and very knowledgeable, plus we have to acknowledge and give much deserved credit to Miguel Angel; the gentleman who made out table side guacamole. He was not only kind to us, he took the time to slow down and allow our 5 year old daughter to help him with the guacamole. Little things like this do not go unnoticed and are highly valued. Mia Dia made our Dia and we will definitely be returning!

We ate here for the first time over the weekend and had an absolutely amazing dining experience! As delicious as the “comida” was, the service was equally notable! Our server, Maria, was exceptional and her personal attention to everything made the entire evening like watching a well choreographed play. It was that good and that amazing, on a very crowded Friday evening no less.

The only downside was that we waited so long to try it despite living relatively close, and don’t shy away from the green chili. It’s that noteworthy.

This is one of my favorite locations when visiting the Frisco area. My girlfriend is super picky about her Mexican food and they always get it right. We enjoy our time together here. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Mi Dia never disappoints. I always enjoy.every visit. Their appetizers are yummy, especially their l queso and guacamole, which is prepared table side. Their house salsas are really good - both green and red are served with chips as a compliment to your meal.

We ordered a lot of beef dishes this visit and all dishes came out cooked perfectly! The meat was so tender and savory and paired well with their yummy bean soup and rice.

If you are into mixology, they have awesome cocktails. The presentation of their drinks are great and even better taste great!

Their staff is always attentive and really make an effort to make your experience great. They even pack your food for you too if you need to go bags and containers. Overall the ambiance is family friendly and they have several locations across the metroplex.

Used to be my favorite spot. Guabanero is so yummy! Pollo agave is amazing. The Carne asada is fire. Service the last 3 times has been lacking alot. We had the mucho plato yesterday and was overcooked. Hostess was rude more than once.
Last time we were there we literally had to ask to order food from the manager because our server was terrible, and Riley is a good server. I get that a party of 7 is alot, but we were there for 3 hours almost. Had to ask for drinks. Silverware. Drinks and chips AGAIN, and it was ridiculous. Based on the last 3 experiences, I'll probably not return to this location. The good bartenders both left. The staff just sucks now.

I usually go to the location in Flower Mound. I happened to be in Plano and stopped by this location for the first time, for my usual favorites. Wasn't at all busy, but somehow the wait staff, and even the manager, were absent minded and aloof. Waitress came by maybe a total of two times. Had to chase her down to finally pay the check. Really weird experience at this location. Felt hostile and uncomfortable like the team was angry that customers had come in. Asked for a specific sauce for my appetizer. Waitress brought it. When the entrees arrived I asked for the sauce again, from the gentleman who brought the plates over. He arrived with a different sauce. We flagged down another waiter and explained our situation and asked if he could bring the right sauce. He came back with the same, wrong sauce. Which is odd because they're very visibly different. One is dark orange and the other is bright red. Manager came by and asked if we needed anything. We explained the sauce dilemma. He went to get it himself and came back with the same, oily orange sauce and we explained that earlier we received something very different. It turned into an argument. I almost wanted to ask our waitress but I knew she likely wouldn't be coming back any time in the next millennia, and it was just so damn weird and random to be gaslit over a sauce. We smiled and said thank you but to not worry. By the end of the dilemma we easily had four of the same little cups of (wrong) sauce placed all over the table. Just odd. Go to the flower mound location. It's worth the drive.

Went in it for for an early dinner. Late lunch. No Hostess, sat at the bar. Bartender too busy filling his ice bins and prepping. Never even asked me if I wanted a drink had to ask for water after 10 minutes had to ask for a drink while I was looking at the menu. Terrible service should be accommodating whenever you walk in if the establishment is open

The food was great! Almost too many options but everyone in our group loved what they ordered. Portions are decent sized. Prices are high-ish but in line with similar nicer Hispanic food restaurants in the area. Good margaritas. We will absolutely return.

Food is delicious. I got Duck Carnitas and, from a recommendation, small quail on the side. It was AMAZING. Quail was cooked to perfection and so delicious. The duck carnitas tasted great. The chips and salsa they give in the beginning were awesome. Great experience, overall. I went with my family for a birthday dinner and they gave Sopapillas as a birthday dessert - tasted great, although I was full from all the food. Will be back soon!

Just a perfect night out for Dinner (celebrating my bday). Our server Riley was enthusiastic, friendly and very informative. Food quality is one of the best I’ve had and the drink menu will need a lot many visits to explore. Highly recommend

Wonderful place. My first time to dine at Mi Dia. Everthing was delicious. Pricing is a little high if you live on a budget as I do.
But this was a mini vacation and finances were put aside to enjoy the local flavor.
I definitely recommend trying Mi Dia.

I can say with full certainty that Mi Dia From Scratch is currently my favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. It's truly one of the best places to find quality Mexican dishes, and just quality food in general. I'll gladly explain my opinion as to why.

I arrived there to discover a plush and lovely looking establishment. It's high-end style was a perfect atmosphere for it's type of cuisine. The service was excellent, and my waitress was very attentive to my needs. Along with my drink, I was also given a complimentary water. I noticed that when you order Coca-Cola, it comes straight to you in a glass bottle. All the drinks were served in quaint glasses to add to the restaurant's plush environment. The chips tasted fresh, and the red and verde salsas were perfect. The prices are more upscale, but so is the quality. I ordered the Stacked Enchiladas lunch special, and it has to be one of the best Mexican dishes I have ever had. The chicken and fried egg were cooked perfectly, and the red and green chile sauces complimented the flavors beautifully. In my own words, it was a perfect dish. Finally, I decided to try the sopapillas; which tasted amazing and came with sweet, delicious honey. The presentation of every dish I was served was also well placed and well thought out.

Overall, it was truly an above-excellent experience. I give a perfect score of 5/5. It's definitely a restaurant I highly recommend for anyone looking for a true Mexican lunch or dinner. It will satisfy your taste with dishes that It lives up to it's name because it is "from scratch". I look forward to heading back there for more lunches and dinners in the future.

Went passed this place for years. Finally stopped by. Chilaquiles were awesome. Sauce was flavorful. Well worth the price. Wait staff were very courteous. And the complimentary chips and salsa were some of the best I’ve had. Def some home made salsas are made here.

Both the nachos and steak are delicious! The chips are crispy and fresh. The service is good and fast. The dinning environment is also clean and well managed. The most important thing is the price is reasonable.
