Micklethwait Craft Meats BBQ & Catering reviews
17 Seriously the best brisket and ribs I’ve had in town, as well as the beans and potato salad. I haven’t had the food since 2019 and it was just as memorable. I called to let them know the time I was coming before I placed my order and they had it ready when I arrived and it was still warm when I arrived home because the package was sealed.
Highly recommend if you want to impress guests with Texas BBQ. This is definitely the highest rated BBQ place I’ve seen, and it’s for the right reasons.
Nice job, Micklethwait!
One of the best briskets out there! They recommended the bread and indeed it was awesome! Don't miss the beans as well - they are one of a kind!
The Frito Brisket is a must try. It’s fusion of flavors with the Brisket, Chili, Jalapeños, Frito’s, and veggies. The brisket was perfectly tender and juicy. It’s one of most unique BBQ items I have ever had. Looking forward to try their plates next.
Hands down the best bbq I’ve ever had. The meat was incredibly tender, the sauce was amazing and even the sides were a step above what I’ve gotten in the past.
We got here at 11: 30am on a Saturday and it took a lil over half an hour in line to get to order. I refuse to wait in a 4+ hour line at Franklin!
All of our food was delicious, with the standouts being the brisket (I'd give it an 8.5), the sausage, potato salad, and the grits (which I normally don't care for, but was maybe the best item here overall!).
It's strictly takeout or outside seating (which sucked when it started raining on us), but a nice ambiance if you're ok with the heat.
The meats and the sides were fantastic as a whole, and we'll definitely go back.
Amazing bbq. The brisket was melt in your mouth delicious. Mac n Cheese was cheesy goodness and the potato salad was dill heavy. Even though the meat doesn’t need the sauce, it was also very delicious. Overall a wonderful place to sit outside and eat some delicious bbq.
We stood in line for 45 minutes and sadly didn't quite beat the rain, lol, but the food was worth it, even if we sat in our vehicle, rain bedraggled to eat it. Between the two of us we got the brisket, turkey, Tex-Czech and Hatch chili sausages, potato salad, mac n cheese, jalapeño cheese grits and the beet salad. Everything was great, except for the beets, which were bland and needed salt and some of that citrus it was said to contain. The grits were frankly amazing, even my husband loved them and he doesn't like grits. Overall the meal was very satisfying and worth the wait.
Honestly kind of surprised considering the other reviews. The meat was simply too dry. The brisket lacked moisture and seasoning, and the pulled pork was similar. Quality was there without a doubt, but I was expecting much better meat. Good sides, exceptional service.
In town for a wedding from New Yok (I know i know Booooo) not those New Yorkers. We love BBq and can't get the good stuff up there. Been to 3 different places so far and by far they take the cake here. Brisket was unbelievable. Frito pie is genius and the Brisket burger had the wife praising it. She is a new England Irish girl so that means a lot. Thank you so much for great atmosphere, amazing BBq and good beer on a 102 degree day.
Came all the way from Germany to eat some BBQ. Micklewaith did not disappoint - tender, flavorful meat, great service and the location is amazing! I'd take a few tons of the chili beans back home if I could!
The best BBQ we've ever had in a chill, backyard atmosphere. Great local ciders, wines, and beers. Friendly staff with great recommendations
I think they are only open for dinner, but I might be wrong. But the food is so good. I mean really good.
Absolutely incredible - the food was amazing, the service was fast and friendly, one of the best barbecue spots I’ve ever been to. See you next time!
Awesome fans and misters in the shade. Great food! The rub, the red cabbage/kale slaw, ribs, brisket, pulled lamb. Delicious!
The BBQ is on point! I had their brisket and sausage and highly recommend both. You don’t get to pick lean so if you’re a person that has to have lean you may have to do some research to see if it can be requested. I prefer lean but it’s not a huge issue for me to have either one. The texture was like butter. Sausage was wonderful as well. Nicely spiced with just little kick, certainly not spicy. I enjoyed the bbq sauce and drowned the brisket in it. Seating is outdoor but covered so check the weather. I went during this heat wave at about 1 pm and it wasn’t bad. If you’re around town this is worth a stop. If you have to go a bit out of the way…, it’s with a stop. Get you some!
Pulled pork, smoked lamb and the brisket are all top notch! Love the pulled pork sandwich with the Mac and cheese.
If you were deciding between waiting in line for Franklin or trying out Terry’s, don't. Go here. The special taco was unreal and the meat was so tender and amazing. The jalapeño grits and beet salad was terrific and the banana pudding was a perfect ending. The wait was almost nonexistent even though it might be better than Franklin just next door. Maybe the best barbecue, hands down.
