Our coach is on the edge of anger issues and does not need to be around kids! From day one he was yelling at kids in practice throwing his clip board and footballs in anger. He did not have the coaching skills to deal with a kid that did have a bad attitude, but in the kids defense they had him on a diet, wrapped in plastic and doing enema’s to stay in the weight class. I am sure any kid would have some attitude problems at a 6th grade level doing these things. They clashed at practice and games every week with yelling and throwing things. My son started throwing his Xbox controllers when he lost in Fortnite and when I punished him he said why can coach throw things and I can’t? Good question I guess? These kids never really became a team because of the coaching they received, they called each other some really bad names and bullied each other in practice. I know this is football but grabbing the smaller kids and throwing them to the ground after the play was over was a bit much. A couple of the kids had concussions and missed practices and games because of it. The coach labeled the kids as to their abilities and let kids know they were not as good as the others? My son came home after practice one day and said apparently we lost the game last Saturday because of me. I asked the coach about this and he said I was misinformed. Something he said made my kid feel that way stated directly or indirectly? As the season comes to an end with only a few games left the coach went beyond bullying and chased this kid off the field who was trying to leave screaming at the top of his lungs about this is my team and you will do what I say! He kept jumping in front of the kid and truthfully it looked like he was about to shove or hit the kid. There was about 50 or more players and parents there to witness this. I had a hard time telling which was the kid and which was the adult here. A parent ran over and was yelling at the coach to stop! A few other parents and coaches where headed that way to stop him because he was being extremely aggressive and bullying this kid. He then screamed and threw a football into the ground that bounced high and out of control just like he was. The coach then went after the father of the kid who left screaming at him about doing something, this man who happened to to be one of his assistant coaches. The man was really good with the kids and they all respected him, as the assistant coach quits and starts to leave now the coach is yelling at him at the top of his voice about being a bad parent. WOW I have never seen any coach act like this, he was like a 10 year old kid throwing a temper tantrum. I made several calls to complain about the coach to the league and a woman said they would have someone call back after I gave them a brief description of why I was calling and that I wanted to file a complaint about this coach. Never heard from them, I guess they didn’t care. My son has had numerous coaches for different sports but they all were respected by the team and they all improved through the season. I was informed this coach lost every game last season and we have lost all of our games this season, I don’t wonder why. I’m sure there are some good coaches here but this coach should not be around kids! It is sad that the people running this program don’t seem to care about this situation and that is why I am writing this and intend to pursue this in every method possible to make sure this coach does not have the chance to bully other children or parents in the future. I am not some whinny parent because my kid didn’t get enough play time or was called names or pushed down I am a concerned parent for kids in the future that may end up with this coach. I have coached three sports and have five kids so I know what a coach should be like with all of them being in sports, a role model that kids respect and look up to not an angry bullying person. The worst part was when I went to the people that ran this league and told them about all of this. They didn't want to hear what I had to say, they didn't care!
