By far and away the BEST mechanic experience I've had in Houston. Great, time efficient, no run around service. Would highly recommend this shop!

I had a fantastic experience with the owner of this mechanic shop! He recently did an electrical job on my car and went above and beyond to ensure everything was completed to perfection. Not only did they skillfully handle the repair, but they also took the time to test drive the car with me to make sure I was completely satisfied. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is truly commendable, and I would give them a solid 5/5 rating. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of automotive repairs.

I do not trust this shop. This was my first visit and I will never go here again. I paid approximately $500 for AC diagnostic, Freon recharge, and dye to discover why the AC was cold only on the passenger side on my 5 year old car. After injecting dye and recharging the Freon, the AC made a hissing noise and the Freon ran out in about an hour. The AC had never hissed before. My car was kept at the shop for three days while the dye was "washed off" to find the leaks. The shop manager said that I had a large leak and a small leak and that it would cost $709.44 for parts, labor, dye, and Freon to repair the large leak. He recommended that I repair the large leak first to make it easier to find the second leak. His usual friendly demeanor became hostile when I insisted on getting the estimate in writing and asked for the hourly labor cost. He handed me an estimate which had blanks where the parts and labor costs should have been. He took the paper from me and illegibly scribbled the prices after I attempted to write down the details myself. The next day, I took my car for a second opinion and that shop manager showed me that the valve was missing from inside the AC high pressure port. That shop replaced the valve for free and charged me only to install Freon. My car was repaired in less than an hour and the AC has been working fine ever since.

I drove from Austin to Houston and my Nissan broke down on the way in the middle of the highway - very scary experience! As soon as I got to Houston I looked for a reputable mechanic within walking distance from where I was staying. First thing next morning I called Midtown Auto Service and Repair and Mikey suggested I drop it off for a diagnostic scan ASAP.

Mikey was extremely helpful and took his time to explain the issues with my car. The issue was bigger than I thought, but Mikey did a great job of talking me through it and explaining what my options were considering I'd have to drive back to Austin. He also got back to me super fast, which I really appreciate!

If you are having any issues with your car and don't know where to start, I suggest bringing it first thing to Midtown Auto - you'll get answers, and if not, at least a plan of action to help get you back on the road.

The team here was efficient and reasonably priced, solving an electrical issue with my car that two previous auto shops were unable to diagnose. The owner was also incredibly friendly, and elected to work through a holiday to ensure a quick turnaround for me. It's not easy to find a mechanic you can trust, but I will absolutely be coming back to Midtown Auto Service & Repair for all of my future issues:)

Just moved to midtown, I was having issues with my Toyota and saw this shop down the street. Without question, I was greeted with great customer service and knowledge to why my car was making weird noises and leaking. Nice pricing and fast results.

Visited this AAA approved repair shop and was throughly impressed with the speed and level of service. They got to my vehicle almost immediately and got me back on the road in no time.

I went for an inspection of my exhaust. The owner, Mikey was so nice! He waived my fee for the inspection and showed me what was I was paying for! Great experience!

Came in during the middle of the day with my engine clacking like crazy, engine light on and an oil leak. Not only did they have great service and get me serviced, they gave me great advice on how to prevent this issue again. Transparent pricing and my car sounds so much better, no complaints whatsoever.

Midtown was very direct. At first, I thought it was rudeness, but then I realized it is just because they like taking care of business! They were very understanding of my needs and wants. They were able to identify what was wrong with my car and provide reasons on why the issue might have occurred to prevent it from happening again. They worked very efficiently and seemed ethical in pricing. They provided great mechanical and customer service. I highly recommend this business.
