Mills Pond Recreation Area reviews
15It's a small little pond with a track around it. Fishing is horrible. I've only caught 2 catfish and 1 carp. It needs to be restocked. Too many turtles eating the fish and eat your bait on your lines.
This park is fantastic for dogs! You can walk around the pond and let them swim a bit in the water. You can go across Bratton ln to the Willow Bend Dog Park or you can walk down the partly shaded/well maintained trails all throughout Wells Branch.
Also, side note, this is a great place for bird watching, especially during the bird migration seasons.
Nice trail that's well maintained. Good spots to fish into the pond. The trail ties into a larger trail system that has some workout equipment setup for strength training using body weight
3rd time fishing there. Didnt catch nothing. Im a descent fisherman. I had 2 poles in the water. Live Bait on 1 and Lure on the other. Turtles kept eating my love bait. Didnt even seen any fish splashing on the top side when the sun was setting. I don't believe there are any fish in that pond. Needs to be restocked. Out off all the fisherman I encountered today No One caught anything
Wonderful place to walk run out bike. Very pretty location and you have choice of picking a 0.85 mile loop around the pond or a 2.5 loop to KF park and back.
Beautiful place for walking. Its a good place for photography as well, I saw many people doing maternity photoshoots, new born photoshoots here. The Pond has tortoise, different kinds of fish.
Family Friendly park with a refreshing focus on meditation and being present in the moment (you'll notice placards throughout). Plenty of shade, a swing, slides, picnic area, dock (for fishing) and bike trail. Lots of turtles and water fowl that were friendly towards my daughter.
Small fishing hole.a Small Park.surrounded by homes. Nice.but I think there are no fish bigger thebeer and can in there.
I live here and love seeing so many people enjoying our beautiful pond, park and trails. We have diverse wildlife (birds, fish, turtles, bunnies, coyotes) and beautiful scenery year-round. Please if you visit: pick up after your dogs, and place your trash, cigarette butts, picnic/party supplies and fishing items in the provided bins or pack it out if they are full. There are doggie poop bags provided along the trail by the restrooms and docks. Thanks for keeping our little neighborhood treasure as beautiful as you found it. Enjoy!
This is a lovely Park area tucked away in the Wells Branch development. The pond itself is rather large, and offers a fishing pier. There are numerous picnic tables, benches, and other facilities including restrooms and a water fountain. No playscape is provided, however. As part of the area-wide network, there are walking trails that head off in different directions. Fishing is allowed in the pond. Parking is quite limited, unfortunately.
Great little escape in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Lots of bird watchers over run the bridges and narrows on the weekends but still a magical little spot.
It's got water, wildlife, and a beautiful trail. Small parking lot, so there won't be too many people there. Feels tranquil, and visitors seemed nice enough.
Neighbors had some lose dogs that charged at my fiance and I with our child when we were walking on the trail. They scared me so bad. Other than that, it was a nice walk with good views. Not everyone wearing masks.
Beautiful park with nice trails. Fishing ponds with two piers. Wonderful turtle life that is fun to observe. Limited parking but usually able to find a spot easily at any time of day.
Lovely place. My fam loves all the turtles and the easy peaceful flow of the park is relaxing. From the pond you easily reach other recreational areas.
