Ups and downs the place is crazy old and the owners before didnt fix, they made due and moved on. The new owners and management have been hit with a major project like a train but they are meeting the challenges.its not always on them why supplies dont come, we are still in a time of shortages. I been here a few years I seen a major turn around on maintenance performance and office professionalism, "they actually answer the phone". This is a real spill, its not perfect but i am still here.p. S The activities are for sure the best, movie night though not real busy very fun.try in cooler nights.

If I could give these apartments zero stars I would.
Moved in a year ago When was rudely greeted by cockroaches (on my very first day here) They never fix the problem and I’ve been here for a year. I leave in a week and I’ve never had a worse Experience ever.
That’s not mention the fact that my work truck gets broken into almost every other day Thousand dollars of tools have been stolen also my every day car gets broken into, by now I’ve lost count how many times and how many things have been taken! I hated living here every single day and I am more than excited to leave. I really hope someone reads the reviews before moving in because if I could turn back time and review them I would and I would’ve never signed a lease here.

I never really give reviews but I honestly think it’s important to especially when there’s more bad than good. Milo apartments is a good complex if you’re young and just starting your career here. This was the first apartment I have rented being new to the city and it is a great location YOURE only 15 mins away from down town you have so many things around you it’s great! You’re also next to a cute little walking trail.

The pros/cons of the place are:
The kitchen is very small as other mentioned but it get the job done less cleaning.
Depending on your unit you don’t get much sunlight. But that was a deal breaker for me.
The property is surrounded by trees which is very pretty the only thing I dislike is that people don’t know how to pick after their dogs. And that’s not the properties fault it’s the peoples.

Trash bins were always mostly overfilling again this is the fault of the people as no one would take the time to open the trash completely making the the trash to over fill and be everywhere. There are many trash bins located around the complex that were empty people just didn’t care enough to walk over… again not the property fault. Trash were always empty twice-four times a week.

I never had major issues in my unit,
I did have a leak in my bathroom roof that maintenance came first thing in the morning when I reported it.
Maintenance is always good at going to the issue as soon as possible which I was grateful for!

I never really was able to go to the pool here as when it was open it was always under cleaning or closed due to shortages of supplies which again understandable.

Mailbox did get broken into so it was very inconvenient to have to go to the usps to collect that but oh well.

During my stay there were multiple broken pipes due to cold or just being old. So there was multiple times we had water shut offs but they would usually be resolved end of day.

There are small little bugs that get into your unit but it’s Texas so I think that is unavoidable.just keep everything clean and you shouldn’t have a problem.

You can hear your upstairs neighbors foot steps but it’s apartment living so it made sense!

Staff was great answering questions and needs and all very friendly.

Other than space Milo was a great property.

All of the employees in this office are very kind, but Patty in particular is wonderful. I overheard some irate patrons bring a bit aggressive while speaking with her and she maintained professionalism, and was then very kind with what I needed.
Overall I've had a good experience with service at Milo.

Front office staff is awesome! They made the whole move in process a breeze! The apartment itself is gorgeous! I love the hardwood floors and granite countertops. The Nest thermostat is a excellent bonus! The parking is plentiful and the location cannot be beat! Definitely would recommend these apartments to anyone!

Hello, my name is Andrea. My husband Michael and I moved into the

Milo Austin on October 1,2020. My child and family are all on the East

Coast so I never thought I would be happy living here, or feel like this is

the place for me, but I was wrong. If anyone is looking for an apartment in

Austin, please take a minute to read my review and I am sure you too will

want to live at the Milo.

It has been almost 2 years and Austin is really feeling like my home.

I would definitely attribute that to Michael Garcia from Roscoe Properties,

Mary Ann Bigham at the Milo office and the rest of the Milo team.

Living here at the property has been great from the start. Anything I need

is met with kindness and a smile, and most of all, a solution. It doesn't

matter if it is a maintenance issue, a financial question or just a coffee or

a photocopy I need from the main office; I am always made to feel like I

matter and I'm the only tenant here. I couldn't imagine living anywhere

else:)

Extremely cheap made bathrooms. These fixtures fall apart constantly and are anything but luxurious. Besides an amazing gym, and an amazing pool and grill area, the actual living here is not super quality.

Milo has not returned my security deposit. While I lived there, they took, on average, six months to address maintenance issues when they bothered to address them at all. Do not let the prices deceive you; this property is owned by a corporation attempting to get a quick return on their purchase without any investment.

Contrary to what Milo has replied below, they have not been helpful. Emailing Milo leads them to point me somewhere else. RPM then sandbags. There's no focus on the resident experience and everyone you speak acts as if you're beneath them.

Similarly, I have email chains showing maintenance issues that went undressed for over a year. Any response Milo will make to this review is an attempt to save face that does not match reality.

I have now emailed Milo multiple times to get my deposit returned. I have received silence in response.

My wife and I have lived here for a couple of years and absolutely love the

place. The great apartments with patios, the stunning pool and the

convenient location is only part of it. What really brings it all together is

the management team. All departments are really wonderful. The

response time to Maintenance issues are really fast. Mary Ann, Florencia

and Sara and at the Milo office and Michael Garcia at the corporate office

are all extremely accommodating. All around they really do give 5 star

service.

This was my first apartment when I moved to Austin. The location was worth the price, and staff like Patty made the experience better. My complaints entail the usual, yes there are bugs in Texas, but management should be prompt about sending pest control after inspection, and maintenance should be more professional. I had three bad experiences in total with maintenance, I don't leave reviews - ever. Because it's a great location, I think management should do better when it comes to informing residents about issues. My mailbox was left right open due to burglaries twice, and I wasn't informed via email. Last thing, I was lead to believe I would have a door in my one bedroom and was shocked to find out I didn't. I was also lead to believe the sliding closet doors would have mirrors too, so just a little disappointed in my experience and want to be honest on here for future prospects.

II recently moved to Austin from Los Angeles and chose to rent an apartment at Milo. I had to move very quickly which can be stressful. Patty made sure the move in process was not stressful at all. She was very communicative and very enthusiastic to answer all my questions. She made me feel welcome in Austin before I even moved. The whole move in process was actually painless thanks to Patty. That was a big factor in me choosing to live at Milo. Super cool place and glad I made the right choice. 5 stars.

The staff and maintenance always handle my requests promptly. The community is quiet and my apartment is spacious. There is quick and easy access to shops and dining nearby. Overall, I have been satisfied with my stay here.

I've been living at the Barrington for 21 years now. After Roscoe took over the property in 2019 things have improved. Roscoe has made investments to make the property better all around. The office staff provides good customer service and are very attentive to the residents.
The biggest improvement has been the Maintenance staff. They are very experienced and well managed by a maintenance supervisor/manager who takes great care in making sure maintenance service requests are taken care of in timely order by his staff. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty and do the work himself if he has to. He makes himself available to the residents so if they have an issue since he has an open door policy.
Anthony from the maintenance staff was very responsive when my ceiling was recently leaking water from a broken water heater in the top floor. He resolved the issue quickly, immediately fixed the water issue and repainted the damaged roof. As soon as I put in the maintenance request then within 2 days the issue was resolved.
So, the Milo has good leadership and a great team where it matters the most to the residents.

The location is great next to the domain and Mopac expressway which gives you easy access to other areas in NW Austin.

So, take it from someone that has lived here for quite a while.

The Milo is a great place for single people, couples, families and pets.

Zoe did a fantastic job explaining everything for moving-in to Milo Apartments. This was the fastest, most-straightforward, and informative process amongst the other 4 apartment tours I had. I’m happy the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks!

I have been having a problem with roaches, and I believe its a problem in the whole building considering I have found them coming in through the sockets. I first reported it months ago, I was told pest control would come on Wends and nobody came. At that time it wasn't horrible so I let it go, but it started getting worse, so I reported it a second time through the website and had no response. I finally walked into the office and the scheduled another appointment. When they did come he told me they would recommend a cleanout and the office should be in contact with paper work. A month goes by with no improvement and no contact. I had attempted calling the office many times and eventually they called me back. The scheduled a cleanout for 3/9/22. I had to clean EVERYTHING out of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and pantry. Of course being a small apartment, I have not room to store everything, so I it is all piled in my living room. When I got home from work on the cleanout day, it was obvious nobody had come, so I called the office and was told "I just spoke with them, they are on the way. " Well, that was a lie because nobody showed up. This issue has caused a chain reaction of costing me extra money and time and I am beyond furious. I do not even think there is an acceptable way to fix this at this point because right now, I can't even cook a meal for my kids in my apartment, I had to cancel plans for the weekend, and I am having to spend extra hours putting things back and taking them out again I am sure. Being lied to by office staff is unacceptable and living in a roach infested apartment is causing my son to have health issues, not to mention it is just gross. Never have I had an issue like this in the past since most communities have pest control treat each unit on a regular basis. Outside of when I have had to ask for pest control, I have never seen them out doing preventative work.

This place is terrible. This apartment building was built in the 1980’s and has a serious bug issue. You will have to fight tooth and nail to get property management to send pest control. I actually paid out of my own pocket and hired pest control on my own. Also, if you order packages online, you’ll receive about a third of your packages because there is a huge thievery issue here. Half my electrical outlets don’t work and maintenance can’t fix them. The water gets shut off on average once a month. My AC/Heat unit was broke for three years before they finally replaced it. I’ve notice that the turnover rate for the employees is really high, every time I go into that office, there is a completely different staff of people working. Avoid this place at all costs!

This complex has been quiet, green, and friendly for the past two years. It is easy to get almost anywhere from here, and the buildings deeper in the complex get no road noise. Will continue to sign the lease until they don't want us anymore!

At first me and my wife enjoyed the complex but recently the water issues been out of control and this is unacceptable and they refuse even to provide an alternative as to stay or reimbursement for a hotel so we can shower! All they offering is bottled water for almost 3 days of no water! This is just ridiculous! Can’t wait for my lease to end and to get out of here.
