Mohamed Ahmed, MD reviews
5Money hungry, doesn’t follow current APA guidelines. Over prescribes to satisfy their greed. Does not work with a care for his patients. Very out of touch.
I have been battling with having someone listen to my frustrations for years. I was recommended here and I promise Dr. Ahmed is worth the time!
Didn’t even see them and I could tell they were the absolute worst. They canceled my appt that had been scheduled for one week on Friday afternoon because they don’t take my insurance which is not what they told me when they originally made my appt. They were quick to take my credit card info for the “$150 deposit” though. The customer service is garbage and Nancy the manager and all her employees are rude and careless. Find another doctor for your own sake.
I scheduled the first appointment with him through zocdoc. I had a headache over the weekend which was not getting better. So I cancelled the Wednesday appointment with him on Monday (>48 hours prior to the appointment time) through zocdoc (and rescheduled it) to seek evaluation for my headache. I was aware that the cancellation should be 24 hours before the scheduled time. I thought I did everything right and no one told me that I needed to call the office to cancel. The office had issue transmitting data from zocdoc and they did not receive my cancellation. Despite of my explanation, the office told me that the DOCTOR would not waive the fee. So I have to pay the no show fee even though I did everything I thought was correct. I work in another psychiatric clinic, doctors are usually very understanding and always waive the fee if it is technical issue. And I was not making excuses, as everything was on record with zocdoc. I am not sure whether it is true or not, but I was told on the phone that this doctor would not want to waive the fee. This is extremely unbelievable given my experience interacting with physicians
I was scheduled to have an appointment Friday at 2 pm, but got told LAST minute my appointment is in the morning Thursday (today). Now I’ve been told I need to pay a $150 fee for something that wasn’t my fault. This is ridiculous and I’m telling everyone I know to NOT GO HERE. All I needed was a med refill and because I have occasional suicidal thoughts, I was told the only option is go to the hospital. Worst psychiatrist office I’ve ever been in touch with.
