I was helpless and stuck needing assistance, I walked up to the door and by the grace of God was able to reach out. Thanks to the folks who help and care. Food, shower, charge your phone and a place to fill out papers for work to begin.

This is a great place.help if you really want to change. A safe place from addiction. Good food, and sleep safely. A BIG THANK YOU

They feed you three times a day here, food is decent, although the portion can be small at times.

Private showers and bathrooms.

Beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious enough. If they do not have a bed available for you, you have a chance to get either a cot or a couch to sleep on.
The bed lottery is every Wednesday for men, and every Monday for women. If you do get a bed, you get to keep that bed for 7 days until the next 'reset'.

Check in for the overnight shelter is at 4pm, the day shelter is open from 8am-7.30pm to public.

Staff are mostly respectful, except Raj.

There is WiFi here!

I haven't been there yet but I have a great feeling about this shelter.

Really great resource for the homeless in Denton County. I only used the meals and showers that were provided for non-residents, as there was no more space available, but both were more than fine, with the showers being private and meals provided 3 times a day. Drawbacks I can think of is that the day shelter does not open until 8: 00 AM, so if you're needing to go to work and have to take a shower, you're not really able to and that it can smell slightly bad in the lounge area, depending on where you sit, because of everyone there and the pets housed there. There were also some meals that weren't filling, and I left those meals still feeling hungry since no seconds were provided.

Still, I appreciate what they're doing and the volunteers who were there.
