Surprisingly great. I’m always concerned about getting my moneys worth for attractions like this. Moody Gardens is definitely worth the money, spendy for sure but worth it.

We paid $140 dls × 2 people, it seemed expensive to me and it's boring for that price.

Our family's first time staying here as we usually stay at another chain where we earn and use our hotel points. However, I was attending an event at the conference center there, so we decided to try it.
Upon check-in, we were greeted pleasantly. Front desk receptionists were polite and friendly. We got to our room to find it was handicap accessible so they layout was funky. We called front desk and they said we requested it and as I was the one who booked it I knew I had not.no problem they changed our room.
We ended up in bigger room but upon arriving in the room we realized the floor hadn't been vacuumed. There were food crumbs, a drink bottle wrapper, and lint all over the floor. No biggie we kept our shoes on and dealt with it. We went on the balcony and peering back into the room there was a dead cockroach in the window sill.
You can tell the hotel is old but somewhat updated. During the night our AC unit went haywire and made horrific noises that awoke us. I barely got any sleep. I recorded some of the noise and at checkout I informed the front desk but she only replied she would have maintenance check it. No I'm sorry, no compensation. My 9 yr old complained all day from being tired. Very frustrating day dealing with an exhausted, unconsoleable child.
That being said, the grounds are great, offers so much to do. We had a pizza and ice cream from their shop and it was excellent. Indoor pool was freezing, but outdoor pool offers a lot for the guests.great swim up pool bar.
They are installing ice land for winter months. It looks very fun. We will consider going but not sure we will stay at the hotel again. For the price we paid, not a good room at all.
Also, the room keys are paper, yet you need it to enter pool and get back in your room, not realistic at all. I don't think I've ever had a paper key before.

Went for our anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience. Will return in the future. The employees are very informative about the animals and very friendly.

It was great! Wasn’t crowded and just a lot of walking so be prepared. We fed the kinds before so we don’t overpay for food. You can bring water bottle so we filled up before walking in. It’s a cool place. We preferred the rainforest over the aquarium.

The customer service was extremely bad and for, what you pay they should give better customer service. We went for our anniversary and then they told us they had seats left on the paddle boat and then the person said sorry we made a mistake! They ruined our anniversary and my spouse left upset and thanks for ruining our special day!

This place is dramatically overpriced. From the $250 it cost for 4 of us to get in to the highway robbery of them charging you FIVE dollars for a normal sized bottle of water, this place takes you for a ride. They don't label anything in their giftshops so when you go to pay, it is a jaw dropping surprise. The exhibits are really nice but as someone who always visits aquariums, etc everywhere we travel, it's nothing above and beyond. They have a paddleboat we looked forward to riding that it turns out rides once the entire day so we missed it. No one warned us about that.probably a good thing to tell customers. Most of the snack areas and one gift shop were closed. I guess I should be greatful parking was free. An employee snarled "Don't climb on that" at my kids by an ant statue before stalking off. There was no sign or anything indicating you couldn't play on it. For these prices, everyone should get their own ant statue. In summary, it's fun but get ready to be hosed

GET THE SEASON PASS! Aquarium and Forrest was awsome and I would give a five star, but the zip line "course" was a joke. We had a good time though everywhere else.

Ok, I have come to Moody Gardens on several occasions and the three pyramids have generally been acceptable. It has been a couple of years since I returned and the last one in the science museum when I entered was such a disappointment that it is not at all what it was.some screens with images in a room is a big scam, I feel like I've been robbed, don't spend your money on this last one because you're going to regret it

You will need several visits to enjoy all of the attractions. The price depends upon what options you select. Times vary so check before you go. Our favorite time is during the Christmas holidays for the special decorations. The restaurant is excellent or you can get fast food. I-max rotates films. Nice gift shop. Kid friendly. A fun day. End the outing with a drive downtown or along the sea wall.

My family and I purchased day passes and were more than impressed with how much there was to see! We made it through all the pyramids and took a ride on the Colonel (helpful tip for the boat ride-be sure to be there 30 min early, we saw a lot of people get left behind because they came too late - they stop boarding 10 min before departure time). We saw a couple guides multiple times throughout the pyramids and they were so knowledgeable and able to answer all questions about the different animals. The only downside was the food selection and cost (one order of fries was 6 dollars and one aquafina water bottle was 5.50 according to their menus) - which is to be expected at a place like this. You can take in your own water bottle, but no food. If you purchase the day pass, you can leave to go eat and come back. I'd recommend planning around the Colonel rides and movie times if you get the day pass.

Fantastic experience at Galveston Food & Wine. Will def go back when they’re doing another Food & Wine event; food was fantastic and great wine selection; we were expecting it to be nice but it exceeded our expectations.

Pricey, but there is so much to see and do. Enjoyed a ride on the colonel, loved seeing all the birds walking along the trails, jelly fish exhibits and penguins. Definitely an all day adventure.

More than $40/person to walk around in a stale air aquarium. I should have gotten a free meal for that price. Not happy at all but my wife wanted to go and she really enjoyed it.
