The nursery staff was pleasant, friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. They listened to what we wanted and was a tremendous help. We where with our sales person Ariel for over an hour and she became a friend of the fam. She was sooo patient and helpful to my wife and I. Big shout out to Ariel for her ability to help us make our final decision. I know we were not the easiest of clients…:)

We've bought a few trees from Moon Valley over the last few years. Unfortunately last year's ice freeze took out one of them so we returned to get a replacement Red Push Pistache. Ariel at Moon Valley took care of us in not only getting our new tree in time for our back yard Easter party but also helped us by having the old dead tree removed. Their team is always helpful and attentive!

We had a great experience at the Moon Valley Buda location and would highly recommend them! Last month we ordered 3 trees, a giant Monterrey Oak ($4k), a super Cedar Elm ($400), and Water Oak ($400) and a bunch of Wax leaf Privets for hedges ($40/ea). Our sales rep was Eric Adams who was extremely friendly, thorough, and easy to work with (and actually quite hilarious too, we laughed a lot as we were walking around the nursery). He was patient with us as we deciphered between various plants and didn't feel like a typical salesman that tries to coerce you into making a purchase, which I really appreciated. They offer 1 year no interest financing and for a flat rate of $250 they include all of the tree planting, installation, mulching and their soil prep treatments with their specially designed Moon Juice. We only had 3 trees, but could have added more that would have been included under the same flat rate. Landscaping labor is not cheap so to have this flat rate offered with the purchase of the tree was a huge selling point for us which made it feel more financially manageable. I like instant gratification so the only downside was that it took a month for the planting crew to come install b/c of their busy schedule, but once they arrived - the entire job was done within a couple hours and Freddy Posas and his crew were really knowledgeable. They even had to jack hammer through several layers of rock. They helped me pick out the best placement for the trees and wanted to make sure i was 100% happy with everything before he left. With the recent freezes and radical weather, we opted to do the MVP Pro Care package and weather protection plan for the trees which includes the staking, 3 visits a year to check on the health of the tree, treatments, and a guarantee if the trees dies. The prices I felt were fair, and TBH didn't even know i could get a tree that big ready to be put in the ground on a financing program. I walked into the nursery ready to be disappointed by high prices and left feeling so excited about our home and all of the welcoming energy and shade these trees will bring to our side yard. I could have spent hours there if my husband didn't make me leave. Thanks Eric, Freddy & the whole MVN team!

I made an appointment to see a Mexican Oak after being told on the phone the age, price, and delivery/ installation of the tree. When I got there no one knew about my appointment. I was shown a $4000 tree. When I mentioned what I was quoted on the phone the man rudely said, “Well, we can go listen to the phone call. ” I said well let’s do it. They had no trees in stock that were close to the price I was quoted. Don’t waste your time on this place.

Was just quoted by their staff………4 different prices on a Persian lime tree.

The first price quote $1000 per
Then she said $500
Then she said $300

Then I walked over to another salesperson who quoted the tree at $200.

I felt pretty grossed out and immediately left.

Moon Valley Nurseries is a charming nursery in Buda. Full of beautiful native plants. I can normally find things I can't find anywhere else. Ariel helped us today and she is always knowledgeable and an absolute delight. The prices are very affordable. We give Moon valley Ask for Ariel

Everything from the purchase process to planting was excellent. Steve’s crew came out timely and worked efficiently to get our new oak planted and was extremely communicative!

The service was great. The installation crew lead by Vincent Romero was fantastic.handled the tree with care and took extra time not only to make sure it was perfectly erected but also to answer the many care questions we asked and offered lots of advice from his experience. This crew (all of them) was top notch and 5+ stars easily.

Mauricio and his team did a great job. He helped us pick the best location for our new tree while explaining the entire process to us. They made quick, efficient work of the tree planting and zero mess behind. Thanks again!

Esteban Diaz and his crew did a great job pre-digging in preparation for my trees to be planted later. They measured and made sure everything was symmetrical just the way I like. They were also extremely mindful about my sprinkler system. No mishaps!
Then Mauricio and his crew came in and planted all the trees exactly the way I wanted. They took great care in planting and placement. When they left, there was zero cleanup behind them. Both crews did such a good job, they had pride in their work, and represented Moon Valley Nurseries very well.

Very skilled and conscientious crew led by Mauricio planted a handsome Shumard oak in our front yard this morning (12/1/2022). Gave us good perspective and information on how to place tree and how to care for tree this winter, including deer-proofing ideas. Christian skillfully transplanted sod from the new site to the former tree site. They quickly repaired inadvertent slice of irrigation pipe and finished with install of formidable mulch berm. Left front yard cleaner than they found it. Five stars to Moon Valley Nursey (Buda, TX) and this crew.
