Moonies Burger House - Anderson Mill reviews
19 Food and drink:
Burger was fine and decent. Black bean burger friend got was also good. They will cook to order, but medium rare is the lowest, which is probably good for the type of burger they use. There are several burger options all roughly in the ~$10 range, burger only.
They have canned and bottle beers between $4 and $5, including some decent locals.
They have chili cheese and gravy fries. Some places call this poutine. The gravy fries were quite good with sausage gravy. That was around $5.
Atmosphere:
Seating is very much like fast food, so it's very kid appropriate, although they're are some aspects of it that are bar like, but if you're looking for a bar atmosphere, you're in the wrong place.
Service:
Staff was friendly and good, they accidentally miss keyed our order and slightly overcharged us, but were quick to correct it, friendly and apologetic, when it was pointed out. Also it took them 24 minutes to get our food out, but they told us it would be 25 to 30 upon ordering. Again, they were kind of an apologetic and mentioned that they gotten a whole lot of digital orders right in a rush.
The burgers are so good here! A lot of it has to do with the buns they use. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was with a big group and we ate well and had lots of fun and laughs!
Food was delicious and delivered to our table quickly! A few beer choices for adults and gluten free buns for those with dietary restrictions. Definitely recommend!
The food was atrocious. I thought we would be getting hand crafted delicious burgers and other items. I got the California burger and the guacamole was browning like it had been left out. My wife got the Philly cheesesteak and it wasn't terrible, but they say you'll love our buns and there was nothing special about my burger bun or her cheesesteak bun.
The most disrespectful thing ever was the grilled cheese. My son is picky I will say that but even I had trouble eating his grilled cheese to make sure it didn't go to waste. It was white bread that I don't think was even buttered just a slice of kraft singles (absolutely disgusting) put into it and put on probably a sandwich press to lightly heat it up. At least the fries weren't bad but 6 bucks for that felt like a rip off.
At least the restaurant has a lot of cool posters and memorabilia and such hanging from it, but that's not gonna make your food taste any better.
Outstanding Burgers. Home made buns great fries. Don't leave without trying their fried mushrooms. There outstanding.
Service was awesome!
Great staff and great food. I went with family and they were very friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu items with extreme patience and good vibes!
Training a new puppy to be a service dog can be a challenge. Moonie's provides a great atmosphere and menu to make it easy.
Food served is Luke warm. No option for combo meal. Service is good. Nothing to talk about on the burger when it’s not served hot. Will revisit again in near future
Cashier doesn't pay attention to what people are saying. The cashier completely screwed up my burger order when I was there on monday, even after I repeated what I wanted 5 times.
The burgers here are good, not great. Definitely not bad, but places like Hopdoddy have them beat, if you're willing to make that extra drive.
What happened to Moonies? It’s been a couple years since I ate at the Cedar Park location which is gone now. The buns used to be a real fresh soft brioche type, mine today was the equivalent of an expired H‑E‑B bun. The Diablo burger did not taste at all like I remember. Just drowning in hot sauce. Ugh.
This is the 2nd time I’ve tried Moonies Burgerhouse on 183. This time the wait was longer & my burger came out without the gator tots. I was told it would take 3 min to drop & i decided I didn’t want to eat tots by themselves. I asked for a refund & said never mind. However, they were already dropped & served hot & fresh! They even returned my money which I feel bad about. The food is really tasty, I ordered the El Diablo & the spice does not disappoint. I will be back! Oh & the employees were all so nice & friendly! I gave a 2 on atmosphere because there was no music playing.
Good burgers and they have the pellet ice which is the best. The firecracker chicken was not very spicy, but that is normal at a lot of places. Still really good food.
Food is great, a bit expensive but I was really disappointed when they said they didn’t have cheese curds in stock for some reason
Pretty good burgers! The fries were really great and jalapenos were spicy (ask for them grilled). Also love the variety in patty substitutions available
Meat in the burgers are very dry and don't have a great texture. Ingredients seem to be of good quality though. Music was having problems and cutting in and out, giving me anxiety and finally had to ask them to fix it. Floors are sticky, tables not cleaned. Counter guy that took my order just stands around and didn't even bother to give me my cup for my drink. Won't ever be back and surprised at how busy they are
Great food. Great service. Update June 2022, same great food, just wish they didn't use Styrofoam cups. Still very good food. Update June 2023. What can I say, I have lunch here about once a week.
One of the few places that use meat that actually tastes real. As for service, they were nice, but the employees in the cooks area looked like they were having a little too much fun
Love this place! Their burgers are great. I always try the burger of the month to switch it up. The atmosphere is nice and chill. I have a little one, so we go to Catch air next door (recommend check reviews) and then head over for some dinner. Highly recommend this place. Give it a shot at least once. You won't be disappointed
