Mort Subite Belgian Beer Bar, Austin TX

Belgian beer is absolutely my favorite. It's what got me interested in American craft beer 20 years ago. Diverse selection of both tap and bottle. Top notch food truck outback. Every city needs one of these!

This is one of my favorite bars of all time. I walked in on my birthday planning for a short visit, but I ended up staying for hours after feeling immediately welcome by the staff. This experience really made my birthday even better. Piper and Brian are the best bartenders EVER. The selection of great beer was amazing. I would drop in every weekend if I lived in Austin.

A wonderful selection of Belgian beers. They have some nice outdoor seating in addition to the lovely indoor area.

Just amazing. I love this place. So chill, the vibe is smooth, so many tasty beers though I prefer the Belgian white. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. Much recommend.

If you like Belgian style beer you'll enjoy Mort Subite. I didn't realize they served food but they had an excellent Belgian beer selection.

Nice atmosphere. Draft choices were a little lacking for Belgian styles, and no list yet for cans/bottles, they said they're working on that.

A GEM. Very cool quiet spot with lots of rare and unique beer finds. Excellent service and a very cool vibe.

This was an awesome surprise find. Two patios and so many Belgian beers to choose from! The bartender was attentive and have great recommendations for everybody!

Solid Belgian beer bar in the heart of downtown. Breezy, laid-back vibe with a friendly staff. Nice, chill place to meet up with your friends and reminisce or to have a nightcap with your date after a fun night out.

Delicious cherry beer and relaxed atmosphere. Wish thru were open later, or they'd get 5 stars

Fantastic craft beer place. Best I've been to in years. Draft beers are amazing. All-gender bathrooms. Great service (MJ and Andrew). Out Of Nowhere food truck (Miriam) is excellent. Provides water for adequate hydration.

Lovely bar in downtown Austin for Belgian beer lovers and beginners. Prices are really good for European imported beers and the general vibe is very comfortable and relaxed.

Really friendly and accommodating staff. Some really delicious beer you can't necessarily find at most bars. Nice place to walk to when staying downtown.

This is a must see stop in Austin. Great draught selection. MJ and Emile were awesome behind the bar. They made us feel welcome and recommended great beers. It’s the one you wish you went to if you missed it. Don’t have FOMO. Go here.

This is a great local bar offering up some amazing Belgium beers. The staff is so nice and helpful with suggestions on what to drink based off your taste.

Beer was fine. My problem was service. Sat there for 15 minutes trying to get a refill and completely ignored. Server was friendly but just unattentive

4 since they have decent Belgians. But when they serve an expensive foamy pour and then tell me that’s proper… good beer and pretentious service

The cherry sour was, indeed sour. Drinks were poured properly in specific glasses with a great bartender who knew her stuff. Bar was small but cozy and there's plenty of rotating draughs, we'll be back.
