Restaurant Mosquito Cafe reviews
18Bad bad customer service if we hadn't had to pay first before we received our food we would've left
Awesome food! Good service and incredible atmosphere. I had shrimp grits and avocado. And momoses are made with fresh Orange juice
The food was delicious, but we sat outside because the weather was beautiful, and we were inundated with flies and birds that left lots of droppings. There will be a next time, but definitely inside dining only!
Soooo delicious! Mambo sandwich was so good with the Thai noodles. Creamy brie with super tender pork.yummy!
This cozy Cafe has the most unique menu and recipes. It's all delicious and save room for the sweets cabinet. Take out is fine.
We had the apple pecan salad. It reminded me of our family Christmas
gatherings. Very good. My hubby had a shrimp croquet burger. Excellent.
Had breakfast this morning. Corned beef hash tacos. Great lemon cake on the way out of town.
We arrived 20 minutes before closing on a Sunday! The staff greeted us and we ordered at the counter.
Mom and I both got salads - she had the house with grilled ahi tuna. And I ordered the Caesar with grilled shrimp. Both orders came out lovely and the 7 year old liked both the tuna and shrimp.
Cute spot with kitschy local art on the walls. The menu is extensive so consider previewing it before you go.
Love visiting, menu is amazing. Great place to feel appreciated and an out of way location.
Apparently they don't mind folks cutting in line for placing orders. Go ahead and do it, the counter staff don't mind and won't do anything about it.
The folks you cut in front of may have opinions though.
Food is decent though. I had the huevos rancheros, which weren't bad. Could have used a few more tortillas though. My wife had the breakfast bowl (it's ok she reports) and my daughter had the buttermilk pancakes with bacon and enjoyed them.
And Mosquito Cafe folks? If you're reading this, empower your staff to kick out the folks that cut in the line. At least send them to the back of the line.
Not a terrible experience but not great. We were missing toast with one of our meals and then one of the pieces we did get was an end piece. The missing toast finally arrived after we had mostly finished the meal and the pancakes were a bit rubbery. We were sitting outside and after a family finished their meal and left, the birds immediately swarmed to pick up the scraps like a scene from Hitchcocks “The Birds”. Not the most pleasant experience.
The place is very popular, there was a significant line when we stopped by on Sunday. But the service was organized so well, we started eating very soon. The food was very good, and the stuff was really friendly and helpful.
A bit pricey. But all the food we had was really good.
The surprise of the meal was a apple pecan salad. It was like a very whip creamy Waldorf salad.
If you are ever in Galveston and looking for some excellent food this is the place! The staff are friendly and helpful if it’s your first time reviewing the menu! JulieAnn thank you for you tremendous service and your personality! We enjoyed our food and visit!
Food is amazing, always. Excellent service. Great atmosphere. Mimosas with fresh orange juice
Food was good. But not worthy of the long wait.prices and gratuity 4 adults are lunch/brunch for
$ 72.00
? Maybe a little bit more expensive than other franchise eateries.
We came here because the reviews were good. I truly believe they paid for all the good reviews you are reading because this was the most disgusting place I have ever ate at. The food was slop and the service was horrible!
We ordered the crabby Benedict and it was vile. The crab looked and tasted like canned crab you buy for 35 cents at the gas station. The quality of the food was equal to garbage.
This place is the biggest waste of money and was literally one of the worst restaurants I have ever been too!
The girl at the register with the big blonde hair also had a very curt attitude. The person at the register should be much nicer to guests.
DONT GO!
