Motel 6 Galveston, TX

Lady on overnight was rude.kept walkin off.couldent answer simple questons.room was nasty. View wasent anything but a lumber yard.sleepin was inposible cause of the trucks an noise.would not recommend to anyone

Stayed here again for the night before out cruise, I thought I had reviewed this place the last time I stayed here, but I suppose I didn't. We only slept here, so no real experience scenarios, was clean, good water pressure, driving in and out of here is a little weird, just need to pay attention to directions or could very well be missed. Fairly decent price, I think when we syaed here the first time it was cheaper, but still not terribly pricey.

Never going back. My husband works there and i only went to help him because I thought he lived me. After being seperated so long I prayed we were trying to start over again.
But no he was using me as a his dog sitter.

My husband booked our stay online. The room looked clean, but we ended up using our own blankets because the sheets looked uncleaned. The towel hanging in the bathroom was DIRTY. I went to use it and it had dirt marks and it smelled like body odor. The toilet hardly flushed. On our last night there, cockroaches came out. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

So as soon as I walked in it smelled really musty, like it hadn't been used in years! Ac worked fine, TV was fine but the remote was picky when it chose to work. Very basic room but a huge bathroom for no reason. The shower didn't want to warm up until I figured out that the Temps were opposite of what the marker read.

The room is conveniently located on a few minutes from the seawall, but the bouble bedrooms are small and cramped. The noise from the interstate is extremely loud.

The room was quite small for single person no coffee in the morning no breakfast in the hotel is quite a long ways from town which I had to walk I'm not refined this apartment hotel

Very disgusting the room have not been touched at all, like it’s very dirty dust everywhere roaches under the bed and the bed is very disgusting like it smells so bad, I couldn’t stay there and of course no refund

The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. Went to the pool it was clean. We had a good time. Vending machines were expensive. The front desk lady was very nice and pleasant to talk to.

As soon as I walked in there were roaches all over the wall, in the bathroom on the towels, and inside the shower curtain. The ac took a long time to cool the room. The floor had a sticky film on it. We checked in late at night and weren't able to change motels, please spend the extra money and stay somewhere else besides here. $140 a night for a roach motel.

Very clean and staff was amazing! Our AC unit went out and the night manager had someone there within 15 minutes with a brand new one and saved the day! The pool area was aleaclean and orderly as well. A wonderful stay!

I booked two rooms as an evacuee from Hurricane Ida, to accommodate four people and four pets. I pre-paid for the rooms through a third-party service, and confirmed multiple times that everything was in order for a late check-in. We weren't arriving until around 6 AM due to extreme traffic delays, but I knew I was paying for the first night anyway. I called just before midnight to make that clear, and was assured everything was fine. When we arrived, one of our rooms had been cancelled, and they sold it to someone else. The desk person refused to let us check into the room that was still in our names (and again, paid for), because we had too many pets for one room. We never got to stay, and instead had to find someplace else, which was not available until much later that afternoon. After driving for 16 hours to be rejected at Motel 6, we had to sit in a parking lot for another ten, to check in elsewhere. When I called customer service that afternoon, after we got into our new hotel, they were very kind, and offered to pay for a night at the new location, as a walk policy, because they could not accommodate the reservation we booked. I sent in the receipts like they asked, and they completely ghosted. Zero communication, they did not pay for the hotel as a walk policy, and they never followed up. I would not recommend booking with this hotel, or perhaps any Motel 6, based on the nasty, and unsympathetic employees they're willing to hire, and their poor customer service.

Don’t stay here. The ac is barely putting out any air and it’s hot in the room. The WiFi doesn’t work and if/when it does, it’s really slow. I reserved and paid for a queen and got a full size. I complained and they said they had no other rooms. I called guest experience and they couldn’t do anything other than email the property who has 5 days to respond. Also, there’s paint missing in chunks on the wall and the ac is nasty.

Very bad experience in Texas City and Galveston. Roach infestation, toilet not working properly and sink constantly clogging. The staff was very friendly, besides that, I will never again stay at a Motel 6

We stay here every time we cruise, free parking for the week and they are usually clean, this last time, we see a roach and seemed dirtier than what we experienced before. Might be time to find a new place to stay!

Thought I was going to be murdered in the middle of the night by the cockroaches uninvited in my room. If you want tiny showers, limited tv channels, missing doorknobs (conjoined rooms), flickering lights, murky pool water, dangling smoke alarms, and musty smelling rooms, then this is the place for you.

I have to say that Dana the General Manager and Vernon the Desk Clerk is AWESOME! We have stayed there 2 times in past month and have loved both visits. They will take care of you as much as they can. Dana, Vernon, and Angie's attitudes are stellar when it comes to customer service. The rooms are nice and clean. I would recommend this to my friends and to strangers.

We thought everything was clean when we got there but that night, when a package of peanut butter crackers was opened, cockroaches, many of them, came out. Lysol spray killed them and we had the room switched, but when my daughter and husband opened the door to that room they were right at the door. So my daughter and grandson came to our room (cockroaches there, too) and I turned in both sets of room keys at the front desk. The manager hasn't returned my call. She charged us for an empty room. Well, empty of humans.

I will address this when we go home. I was up most of the night after traveling all day finding another place to stay for the rest of our vacation. It is also very nice.

The day person and evening person were very pleasant, but the late night person was not so pleasant.

If there was a zero star category I would give them that. There were roaches every where.

My recommendation? Find some other place.
