Motorcycle Training Center reviews
20Took this course to get my endorsement and to learn to basics of riding a motorcycle. Brian the instructor was very helpful and professional. I would highly recommend taking this course!
This was the absolute best motorcycle training I ever could have asked for. As a woman, I was pretty nervous about this. It was my very first time driving a motorcycle, but they walked me through it from start to finish. By day 2, I was zipping around the course with ease and passed the final evaluation with minimal issues. Brian, my instructor, was absolutely phenomenal. His passion for motorcycles is clearly evident, and he loves what he does.
We did have a small snafu where there was a wrong link in the documentation I was sent, which caused me to take the wrong course. VERIFY your course. If it's a beginning course, the state requirement is 6 hours. I only had the 3 hour course as an option when I clicked the link and that's what I took. The materials on the website and courses could be a little less confusing, so if you have questions, ask. In the end, I had to take the 6 hour course which is essentially the 3 hour course extended. I didn't learn much more but I did lose an additional 3 hours. That said, I learned a lot and enjoyed my experience very much. I cannot thank Brian enough for taking such good care of me!
William is awesome, made the course super interesting and fun (and funny!) and he has tons of real world knowledge of what to do. I loved taking this class (basic rider course) with him as the instructor. Super memorable. My girlfriend Julie loved it too. He even pulled out a different bike to accommodate her needs better. Looking forward to taking the intermediate course with him again one day
My instructor Brian did a fantastic job! He was knowledgeable and very personable. He picked up right where the online class left off and did a good job making all the information go full circle and reference back to it during the in-person portion.
Definitely feeling much more comfortable on a motorcycle and like I am in control after going through the class. Highly recommend!
I took this class a little bit ago, I came into this not knowing anything about a motorcycle the instructor (Brian) was an amazing teacher and made sure we were comfortable moving onto the next exercise, He brought his bike on the 2nd day and let us check it out while also informing us on where to get certain riding gear from and the procedure to getting your M on your license when you get your endorsement after passing the class. I came into the class nervous and left confident with my riding ability.
Okay, so I rode years ago. I had an accident in 2007 and decided, due to gas prices, that I needed to get back on a bike. I took the class on Oct 27th and 28t, 2022. I shared my experience of the accident with Brian the instructor and the class. Let me say, what a group of classmates. All were very supportive. Brian was also very informative. He seemed to know my fear but without to much pressure he let me ease into the riding. First day was easy and went fairly well. Second day, well let just say if it isn't raining you ain't training. Our course was wet in the morning. And, there it is, I was the first to drop a bike as my tire slid over the paint on the course. My confidence was hit hard. Luckily I know how to fall and rolled up onto my feet and shut the bike off. Brian was worried about me as the rider, but I was good to go. Laughed about it with the class but admitted the embarrassment. Being shakey the rest of the day I kept pushing. Brian kept calmly coaching me when I asked for help. I honestly felt like I was the worst rider in the course, and probably was. But, you know what. When it came to the riding test I made a perfect score. Brian looked at me and said, "Mike, you killed it! " He made comments that we were his best class because how we engaged with eachother. Maybe that was a key, but Brian's calm coaching when someone is nervous was also a huge part as well. Once I log some time on a bike I will return for the more advance course one day. Brian, you were awesome, thanks!
William is a fantastic instructor who is patient, knowledgeable and employs a no nonsense attitude when it comes to safety.
I went into the course with zero experience or confidence and can say I’m now comfortable riding a motorcycle. I still have a lot to learn but for the course My only advice is to be gentle and kind to yourself; accept you’ll mess up but know you’ll have gentle encouragement guiding you every step of the way.
William enforces a professional but laidback learning environment that ensures safety above all; you’re never rushed and always encouraged to ask questions. I drove an hour from the south end with traffic each way and would have 0 hesitations to do it again
My final verdict out of 5? A solid 10
I was nervous about taking this course because I had zero riding experience, but the Instructor was great! He made sure we understood the safety precautions while still keeping the class fun. After the class was completed the instructor also explained what to do when taking the completion papers to DPS to get your license. Have fun & be safe!
Great waist of time and money. They give no refunds and they rush you. The customer service is the worst I’ve seen
Horrible customer service, very rude and insulting. All they care about is money and they like to hang up on you. They give no sort of refunds at all. So if you’re planning on spending almost 300 on this class make sure you know you will pass. Their motorcycles are old, heavy, and broken too.
Absolutely horrible customer service from the get go. Put your money towards real professionals. Better hope nothing goes wrong because they will make you pay for nothing. Wouldn't recommend at all.
William was a rockstar instructor. He genuinely WANTS you to learn and will try to teach to your learning style. He had a very easygoing laidback nature that helped us feel confident on our bikes. I did not think I could learn to ride (let alone drive a standard engine) in under 2 days and under 8 hours on a bike.
He made something very intimidating become something fun while still reinforcing the danger of the risk we are about to embark on.
Took the motorcycle course back in March with William as my instructor. He was funny and patient with me as I had never driven a motorcycle before, and even allowed me extra time aside from everyone else to continue practicing my turns. It was easy to learn on the 125s provided. Paired with the classroom instruction I feel more comfortable cruising around on my own. Instruction was early when the heat wasn't so bad. I do not recommend taking this course in the summer. Spring/Fall/Winter in South Texas is the smartest choice. I appreciate the laid back instruction that focused on safety before anything else. Thanks again William, you are awesome!
Zero experience going in, Brian B and the class made it a fun and learning environment. Very personable instructor who was great at coaching in the moment and helping me overcome my fear of motorcycles. 100% Recommend for anyone looking to get into motorcycles.
Brian is a great instructor, as well as William. I had lots of fun learning how to ride a motorcycle during the 2-day period, they teach very well and give great tips!
Terrible customer service.even if the classes were free i would not go there. Id rather pay extra and give my money to somebody who actually knows some basic people skills and customer service. Disgusting over the phone.
This class was awesome and the Coach/Teacher was amazing. Not sure if this goes to the whole website or just to the San Antonio area one but 10/10 would recommend this class. Had a blast and am finally legal!
William made the training interesting and enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The BRC was a great learning experience and the instructor, Tom is an awesome teacher that taught me how to ride and ride safely too. I had no prior experience with motorcycles before. Do your research, watch videos, and just have that beginner mentality always ready to learn!
The basic rider course isn’t really for complete beginners. You need to have some riding experience to succeed.
