Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth TX

Mount Olivet at 2301 N. Sylvania Avenue, is labeled as "Fort Worth's most beutiful and convenient perpetual care cemetery. " It was established in 1907.

While visiting this place the other day, i saw some people enjoying a nice stroll in the 130 acres park-like setting, littered with crypts, musoleum, monuments and trees.

I believe that visiting the resting place of a loved one bring peace to our soul and may be good therapy. We can then realize that sooner or later we too have to go and maybe unexpectedly; that we can not bring anything with us except that which we have given away.

I just went there today to ask about family members and was treated like I was in the way. I had part of the records and was looking for the rest of them, I was put in a room and forgotten about. The man that did show up was acted totally annoyed when we couldn't find a family member because his name was spelt wrong. After we looked up a few other names I asked for a printout of the records he gave me a stupid look like "why it's on your phone". I hadn't seen how he got to some of the records we saw, and I didn't know I could get them from the website. I asked him to show me how to get to the records he acted like I was a 2 year old when he explained it. Even asking for a map of the cemetery was too much for him "it's so small I'm not sure you can make it out".
I really hope a family just lost someone it's treated like that.

Today my wife and I went to pay our respects to my Mother-in-Law on the occasion of her birthday. We found the previous flowers dead and the grass growing over hers and my Father-in-Laws markers.
We contacted the Cemetery Office and were connected with Trudy. Trudy was awesome, she jumped into action and coordinated with the Cemetery Supervisor Edward. Edward responded immediately and met us at their sites. He was apologetic and made no excuses. He committed to getting it fixed immediately. We saw his truck and his team pulling up in our rear view mirror as we left. The Mount Olivet Team continues to show care and concern and when things are not quite perfect they are so apologetic, and get to work immediately to make things right! I cannot say enough about Trudy and Edward’s professionalism, customer care, team work and results driven attitude! Thank you!

Mount Olivet is a beautiful place and the staff are amazingly very caring and will help you in every possible way to you and your loved one’s needs. I had services for my Beautiful Beloved Mother, Daughter and sister in different dates in less then 3 years and received the same care.

I frequent this place often for my work. Absolutely great staff. Amazing funeral home

This is a beautiful cemetery I love going here and updating stones online for people to view their lost family members.

I was wondering if this cemetary allows cleaning of headstones? I'd love to clean some of these headstones using federal cleaning products for headstones. I'm especially interested in cleaning veteran headstones.

My wife’s cousin died at a young age of 15 for Christmas this year she spent a lot of time and money to make a wreath for his grave. We went out on January 1st to pick it up. When we got there it had been ram over by a lawn mower or a side by side. She also has a sister buried up by the drive coming from the chapel someone had drove a dual wheel truck over about 20 graves and headstones there also. Just seems like the care here has really dropped off.
