Moviehouse & Eatery by Cinépolis, McKinney TX

I have 3 because the pricing of the food is just plain ridiculous. Got 2 burgers, chicken tenders and two icee and a popcorn and nearly $50! More than my movie tickets. I would give it 4 just for the theater but tickets were a bit expensive too with their extra online fees. Might have to go to a no name theater if those exist still just to enjoy the movie.

Cool place, was expensive than others and chairs are old so heard lots of LOUD squeaking through the whole movie, was very annoying. Probably won't go again because of that maybe some WD-40 can help.

Food options have gone down. Prices have gone up, especially bar drinks. Refund policy is awkward.
Must be the new owners.

Usually I have enjoyed going here but the menu change leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. I'll come back when they return to the pre Covid menu.

Ooof. Went to see the new Bond movie here. We used to LOVE the Moviehouse & Eatery in Austin but this was not it. All the chairs made horrible loud creaking noises, so you could hear every time someone adjusted their seat during the movie. The food tables were all peeling laminate. The food was just plain bad - I had the spicy meatball pizza, and my husband had the spicy chicken sandwich. Neither had any spice at all. And the pizza crust was disgusting - it literally tasted like someone melted cheese on matzah crackers. The servers were friendly, and the sound/projection all seemed fine. But we probably won’t be back.

12-3-2021 Update:

The food here has gotten bad. We used to enjoy a meal with the movie but now I feel like it'll be drinks only. Pizza seems like it's premade/frozen and warmed up. Queso isn't what it used to be either. Might have to start making the drive again to Alamo Drafthouse.

Our new movie place! We grew up on Alamo Drafthouse but given the location, this is much easier to get to. Prices are reasonable and we love the theater. Staff his great and helped us out during a ticket/seating issue. Very accommodating and understanding.

The chairs are a little squeaky, split in spots, and wobbly, but overall everything is good. Service is good but the prices are almost on par with Disneyland so 5 people (2 adults and 3 teenagers) for movie, drinks, and snacks was right at $150.

The chairs were broken and really noisy and my order kept getting messed up and we had a bunch of drinks brought to us that weren't ours but they food was great and the workers were friendly

First going to see a movie here. Had lunch while watching the movie. The service was great. Theater was very neat. Staff was great very attentive.

This was strike 2 for us. Thought the first time was a mistake but now a 2nd time they came out with my order with just a hamburger patty and bun. I told the girl I wanted everything on it even cheese. What a joke. Most likely I'll be going somewhere else to watch a movie.

Over the last couple of years i have been a loyal customer. The last expereiences have been horrible. 2 weeks ago they forgot my order and it wasnt until i complained 40 minutes into the move they finally brought my food. This time again they forgot to being be napkin and my drinks. It took me getting up speaking with manager, where he promised to get my drinks, but they never came. I had get up again to finally get it fixed. Our trip to movie house is weekly and as you may know it is not cheap. My expectation is that i should get great customer service from a place like this, in these to experiences the CINEPOLIS HAS FAILED.

Staff was good, friendly, and attentive, and the food is ok for a casual movie day. Seats need some repairs tho as the "leather" has worn down. Other than that no complaints!

Took our 2 year old to see Clifford past bedtime tonight and needless to say we decided to leave after ordering food but before the movie started. Jay, the manager I believe, came up to us and offered snacks or movie passes since we didn’t get to watch the movie. I thought this was very considerate.we will be back!

We came here when they first opened and everything was great. The food was really good as well. BUT We went this weekend and food was okay but not worth the price. The chairs in Auditorium 6 are super squeaky and they get stuck. The bathrooms were messy and smelled gross. 2 stars only because our waitress was nice but not returning

Movie theater was hot, I started sweating while watching the movie. The service was quick as far as the food. Popcorn is one price $9 (bottomless) Theater was clean

Completely average venue.
NOT worth the expense.
Just the food for 2 people was more than $70 plus tip. That was for a couple of burgers with fries & drinks, a couple of bowls of popcorn, and a couple of candies. Free refils on popcorn and drinks but irrelevant unless you intend to overstuff yourself on those two items.
The seats were nothing special. Same as other theaters in the area. They recline and have a tray with drink holder. No seat warmers. The seats were more worn than other places I have visited. My particular seat this visit really should have already been replaced judging by the obvious wear and tear.
Staff and service level were excellent and got this place an extra star from me. Otherwise this would have been a review.

We like this location. However DONOT order the lobster tacos they are terrible and you will be wasting your money. I could not taste anything lobster in them

Only place we go to watch a movie. Great food and drink, got a waiter not sure what more you really would need.
