I’ve never had an issue booking an appointment until now. I had put in an appointment request online as my usual stylist was out for personal reasons. I was offered appointments for me and my spouse and told them I would take them only to be told sorry we booked them already and aren’t going to have anything until next Tuesday which normally wouldn’t be an issue but I’m moving out of state which I expressed to them. Not to mention the last time I put in an appointment request online it was completely ignored. The front desk customer service is poor at best. Don’t have an online form option for appointment booking if it’s not going to be checked frequently enough for people to get appointments.

I've been looking for a new hair stylist for ages, and I'm so glad I found Jade at Moxie! She was incredibly friendly, kind, and gentle with my hair. I came in with a hot mess and left with gorgeous peach-glazed curls and an incredible shaggy haircut that I've been loving. She kept me informed of what she was doing and let me know just what I'd need to do to preserve my color. If you're looking for a fun shade, I cannot recommend Jade enough!

The rest of the staff was incredibly kind as well — everyone really seemed to get along, admiring the cuts, styles, and dyes of one another's clients. And I can't get over the gorgeous style aesthetic of the place — I never wanted to leave!

My mom has struggled finding a new hair stylist since moving to San Antonio in 2015. Today she had an appointment with Rebecca and was so happy with her hair! It looks amazing! Thank you Rebecca and Moxie!

This is my new happy place! I had 6+ inches of dark regrowth and Jade was able to take me to a beautiful platinum blonde in preparation to turn my hair another color later on in the week. The atmosphere, the art, the stylists supporting and helping each other and the dedication to excellence make this the best place I’ve ever had my hair done. I highly recommend for anyone who has had a poor experience anywhere else to try this lovely salon. Maddie, the owner, is a breath of fresh air and offers her support to the stylists throughout the day and is awesome!

Dani is AMAZING. She takes her time and is incredibly gifted. Being her client is a peaceful relaxing experience!

Had great color and cut by Katie today. She is super sweet and really knows what she’s doing. Katie loves her texturizing shears and that is a huge plus for me. With most stylists, I never get as much texturizing as I’d like, but that was not the case with Katie. I love my color and cut! Lots of fun layers that fall naturally and look great. Katie got a new “regular” today. I’ll be back in six weeks!

Rebecca is the best! She was able to squeeze the three of us in on a Saturday so that my girls could be ready for their first day of school. She listened closely to what each girl wanted. She sat down and made sure they understood how to style their hair and asked what they liked/what they wanted to change. My older daughter was anxious about picking a style and couldn't really say what she wanted, just what she didn't like. Rebecca helped her find something to make her happy and confident! My 10 y/o kept buzzing around the salon and asking a million questions and she was never treated like an annoyance, which really meant a lot.
The salon itself is just so cool. When you step inside it's like you're in another place. It's not just relaxing you just feel so comfortable.
I was kind of curious how our stylist found the salon to work at and she explained the wella products are really good. We did not do any hair color this round but it's on our list for next time!

I wouldn't recommend moxie hair salon to anyone with textured hair.

In the past few months, I've gone in for both a haircut and a hair coloring session, and both were very disappointing and a waste of time. When I went in to get my hair cut everyone was nice and the salon is quite comfortable, but that's how they trick you fr.while my hairstylist (tanner) was very kind and reassuring I could tell he wasn't very experienced with my curl pattern. One or two days after the cut, I realized how oddly shaped my hair was, especially from the back.it was almost like a bowl cut and a mullet had a baby.and the hair coloring session was terrible.it was going well at first but after rising the dye out my hair looked almost the same.it hadn't lifted at all.instead of the hairstylist realizing her mistake and apologizing, maybe adding in a giftcard or somethin, the hairstylist (who I cannot remember the name of) BLAMED IT AWN ME! Istg.she asked me repeatedly if I had colored my hair before, and said that I must have since it hadn't lifted.after telling her I hadn't colored my hair multiple times she went to ask my mother if I had (and obviously my mother also said no). Ma'am are you suggesting that I'm lying? She did give me a discount though. 75$, damaged hair, and 3 hours of wasted time.i felt as if i, someone who is not a licensed hairstylist, could do better on both the cut and the color.and so i did.basically payed for a bad experience and ended up just doing it myself #moxiehairsalonisoverparty

overall this place is just a bunch of friendly white people who don't know what they are doing.if you're reading this, especially poc, just find another place or do it yourself.it's not worth the time or money

The staff is super friendly. Rebecca was my stylist, and she color matched my hair perfectly. I am super happy with the results, and will definitely be booking with her, and Moxie, again!

I love this salon! My hair stylist is Jenna Tones and she is nothing less than a Rockstar when it comes hair! She never disappoints! I've also been to Moxie for a massage & Ester was amazing!

I've been going to Moxie for over 3 years and have always received wonderful service. However this last visit was less than pleasant. I had a confirmed appointment with Dani and arrived 10 minutes before my appointment. I checked in with the receptionist who was beyond rude and seemed bothered that I was I even there. She had her cell phone in her hand the whole time I was trying to check in and didn't look up at me at all. I waited 15 minutes past my appointment time before another stylist asked who I was waiting for. Come to find out the person I booked my appointment with took someone else even though I was waiting in the seating area. At this point I wanted to walk out and find another salon because I was frustrated with how rude the staff was being. Luckily Rebecca said she could cut my hair. She was the only one who apologized and said she would take good care of me. She was so sweet and super friendly! She provided great service and super easy to chat with. While I was getting my haircut finally feeling relaxed, a male stylist came over to complain to Rebecca and the stylist next her about water bottles being left in the break room. Seriously? In front of customers? I could tell they were bothered but they just said okay and continued with the service. At the end Rebecca was showing me some products and she asked the receptionist for assistance in finding a price and she was ignored, again she was on her phone. Overall I received great service from only Rebecca and wished she had her own salon studio just so I don't have to return back to Moxie. This used to be my favorite place to come relax and pamper myself to a high quality haircut but because of the extremely rude staff I will have to find another salon.
