Mr Taco, Lockhart TX

These tacos are the best. I have had tacos literally in every little corner of Texas and can say that Mr. Taco 100% is top 3 tacos I've had in the state

I love a good deal when getting Mexican food and this just doesn't feel like the best bang for my buck. The food is decent, staff is friendly and the drive thru is efficient but the portion size per cost is medium low value. I’ve had tacos here and they are mediocre. I’ve had the Migas plate and it was small and dry but edible. Good place to grab a few tacos on the run for the kids but really good Mexican food, it is not.

They've had a bit of online hate, but we've never had a bad experience here. Great breakfast tacos!

Our family has been going to this restaurant since the 1990s. Today, it is a much larger location, but the food quality has remained high. They have awesome breakfast tacos (you can customize them), other breakfast items - all of which you can order all day. Lunch and dinner choices are just as varied and tasty as breakfast. The flour tortillas are soft & fluffy (I've eaten them with butter as dessert for longer than I care to say.) I buy a dozen to take home at times.
Today, I had huevos rancheros for brunch. Tasty as always, eggs cooked as I ordered them.
There is a drive through that is always busy, but perfect for to go orders.
If you try this lovely family owned restaurant, you won't regret it. (The parrking lot fence is hand painted with cheery flowers too.)

Litteraly food wax good as always I ordered of the breakfast menu and I gotta say 10 outta 10. Especially the meaty omelet they serve. Barbacoa is good with it.

I came in on a Sunday and it was pretty busy. My order was not what I ordered according to the menu but due to the large crowd I didn't say anything. I decided I'd go with the flow and try it out. The meal wasn't very filling due to really small portion sizes. The menu featured different sides than I was given. A healthier option but the sizes of the portions were small. It was good but for the price not worth it. Should've gone with the steak and eggs, I'm sure that would've been the better option, at least I hope. I'll try again but on a less busy time and day. The service was good bit I just want happy with the meal size considering the featured sides would've been more filling than the sides I was given, granted they were healthier but knowing the cost of the small sides given didn't justify the change. I left still hungry and wondering why vegetables that cost a fraction of the cost of the featured sides on the menu were so small. We'll see how it goes next time but definitely saying something as long as it isn't a hectic mess of people.

Great Mexican food. Wonderful in house flour tortillas. Great breakfast place. Wednesday is chicken fried steak day.

Great food always go every weekend for tacos they are quick with large orders, drive-thru can get a little congested but it's worth the wait.

If you come to the lockhart location. And use the drive thru. Be sure to check you order before you pull out. There's a 33% chance the order will be incorrect. Three times in one month. Heck of a way to start the year Mr Taco.

Best non-BBQ restaurant in Lockhart! Definitely the best breakfast restaurant and they always have GREAT prices!

Visited about 6: 30 on a Sautrday night in Jan 2022. It's been a few months, so was surprised to be presented a menu with no prices on it. NICELY asked for a menu with prices, assuming maybe it was a printing mistake. Waitress informed me that they had taken off the prices due to COVID. This obviously makes no sense, so I again NICELY asked if they had any that had prices. She went off to see - I guess.

Another waitress came over:

"Sir, WHAT is your PROBLEM? "
"Uh, no problem, just want a menu with prices"
"We don't have them, just tell me what you want and I'll look it up"
"I've got four kids over here, not gonna order them a $15 meal, just give me a ballpark figure for the kids meal and a couple items so we can discuss"
"SIR, I'm not going to look up the whole menu for you! "

(not my fault they have literally 100 items on the menu)

Stomps off for some reason, to a nearby computer, I think maybe she'll look something up for me, so I say, again, calmly - "You know, I'll just have this drink to go, just give me the ticket for that" (not in the habit of rewarding nasty attitudes with my hard-earned cash)

"SIR, I am helping these people who got here BEFORE YOU, you'll have to WAIT YOUR TURN! "
"On second thought, I'll just leave the drink here. "
"HAVE A BLESSED DAY, SIR"

Just wow - nasty nasty attitude. The $40-50 we would have spent would have gone a long way toward printing some new menus once a month to accommodate rising prices. Probably won't be back, as the food is only mediocre but it's good for a cheap taco that the kids like. Definitely won't be back before the put some prices on the menu.

Mr Taco in Lockhart was once our favorite place to eat but lately things have gone down hill. Unfortunately we had on this day 2 waitress that were very rude, 4 of us sat there for approximately 8 minutes and were totally ignored. And I will not fail to mention that we eat out 7 days a week, 2 or 3 times a day, but until Mr Taco establishment gets things under control wewill no longer eat there. And also should look as to why all of the good waitresses are gotten rid of.

Went last night to try them out for dinner. We got there at 7pm and grabbed a table ourselves, since there's no host. It was 7: 24pm when I looked at my phone to tell my wife let's go somewhere else cause none of the staff had even acknowledged the fact we were there, but greeted 2 other tables that came in after us. It was pretty much the same situation the last time we went for breakfast. What got me though, was that the waitress who tried to give us menus as we were getting up to leave, seemed happy that we were leaving! Never going back after this!

I went by drive thru. Picked up my tacos and didn't realize that 1 taco was 5.50, till I got he and saw the receipt. The menu even said all tacos were 2 dollars and something cents. I will not be going here again.

Didn't like the waiting. Was there for breakfast and we have to wait almost an hour to get 4 tacos.
