Muse at SoCo reviews
15Sarah, Amanda, and Mariah were incredibly helpful throughout my move in process. When we had cold feet they were incredibly generous with their time, offering us many tours. Also helped our key pick up despite it being after hours.
Went in for a tour last week. The guide was very nice. Unfortunately they showed us a unit that was filthy. There were dead cockroaches on the floor of multiple rooms in the apartment. The air condition vents were almost completely black (I think from mildew). Great location but the unit made us reconsider.
It is located in the heart of Soco with a lot of restaurants and stores all within waking distance. The front office staff are so wonderful and friendly. It is such a beautiful community and so close to downtown.
Love living here! The location is amazing, amenities are great, staff is incredible, especially Mariah. The pool is so clean and its so convenient being right next to equinox. 10/10 recommend living here!
As an apartment locator in Austin, Muse Soco has always been one of my favorite properties! The location is hard to beat and the leasing staff is top notch. Sara specifically is a gem, she works hard and genuinely cares about everyone who steps through the Muse doors. If you’re working with her, you’re in good hands!
I moved to Austin within 5 days of receiving a new job. Mariah helped me view the unit remotely, quickly processed my application. My movers and I arrived on the first day of a major ice storm, everything was closed, but Mariah even came in during the the storm that shut the city down to make sure I could get settled before I started my new job. She truly went above and beyond to help me get into the apartment and settled.
The location is great!
Where to begin. I am not someone that complains for fun. I truly wish I would have believed the reviews before spending $800 to move in here.
The oldest most poorly maintained “luxury” building in Austin. Greystar is bad to rent in Austin. They don’t care about their tenants.
You have to pay all utilities and fees which is about an extra $200+
Main areas such as elevator is filthy and hot, don’t bother using it. Workout room is old equipment/ mold smell is overpowering.
Pool is hot and murky water. Common outdoor areas are rarely cleaned.
On to apartment unit
Beware of black mold growing out of your vents. If you’re on the top floor to avoid paper thin walls & ceilings be extra careful not to move into one that has all 6 a/c units or even one above you. Your whole apartment will vibrate & the noise will make you crazy. Nothing drowns it out. Appliances all old and noisy. Constant electric buzzing.
Shower & tub old and nasty.paint chipping off and molding constantly coming off.
They can fix things but eventually the problems come back within a few weeks.
I’ve been in this building one month & given management plenty of time to address l.
I feel obligated to warn future renters to beware & go elsewhere for 2600/month.
I work with this property regularly as an apartment locator. The amenities are always clean and tidy and the leasing staff is pleasant. I will continue to recommend to friends and clients.
The team at The Muse are always very caring and responsive. Sara and Mariah are always available, friendly, and helpful if there's a problem. The maintenance guys are also great! They are quick to take care of any problem well and always leave my home with the problem fixed and no sign of mess. In fact, Ethan came by to fix my sink and helpfully offered to fix another problem I hadn't even mentioned in my bathroom. It's great to live somewhere where everyone cares about what they do and care about the people who live there. Thanks!
Stay away from this place at all costs. Upfront it seems nice enough however the management runs this place into the ground. All of the nice remodeled finishes are very poorly done and will start to fall apart soon after moving in.
Getting the management to take care of any issue is near impossible so get used to cockroaches, water leaks, and getting your buildings water shut of for extended periods of time with no advanced notice.
Last of all if you already live here, request all move out documents to be signed and have a lawyer look over them as Greystar management will try and charge 100s - 1000s in moving out fees that are nowhere in the lease.
I’ve lived many places and dealt with issues before but this was by far the worst.
New management is making a major effort to improve the property and they are quick with maintenance requests.
This place is amazing. Sara understood how fast my roommate and I needed to move in, and acted accordingly and got us in our place within a few days. Having been here now a little over a month, thoroughly enjoying my stay so far, the location is great, love that the gym is open 24/7, property kept clean, and just been a great experience so far. Highly Recommended. Thanks again for getting us in so quick Sara!
The maintance team took my trash can and the front office won't help me get it back or replace it
Ever since they deactivated the lockers delivery drivers must navigate this maze of building and catwalks to deliver door to door wasting valuable time.
