Caregiver Sandy was awesome. Everyone else, not so much. The food was good at first, then the cook left. Then it was mostly sandwiches. If your loved one passes at the end of the month, they will still charge you for an additional 2 weeks (because they "give you 2 weeks to get things moved out"). The admin doesn't answer texts. If you call, then expect the circle of hell on the phone tree.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. My mother has been there a short time but the staff is trying to make her transition easy and comfortable.

When it became time to move my mom into an assisted living facility we found and felt comfortable with Mustang Creek Estates in Frisco. The salesperson really sold us on it. When we first moved her in the director was new and was really working on having the facility live up to their advertisement. As the weeks and months went on it was apparent that this was not the case. The director was good but had a lot of push back from the upper management from what I heard and A LOT of turnovers. They fired the director a few months in and put a temporary person in there for a while and then the Allen director who stayed in Allen. I worried about my mom being there with no supervisor over the caregivers. You didn't know what they were doing and there were some caregivers that were definitely not trained to take care of someone. My mom cannot walk and needed a Lyft to be moved to the recliner, wheelchair or shower. They were always telling her that they didn't have anyone there that could move her with the Lyft. When discussing this with the sales lady it was said that this would not be a problem. She was also supposed to be in a house with other residents that were in wheelchairs etc.when later they moved her to the house next door with memory care residents. That was a whole new set of problems. (still not sure why they did this, not all residents were like that at the beginning) One of which was a resident who came into my mom's room and peed by my mom's recliner. He was also constantly coming into her room. As I said before she cannot walk and cannot help in keeping him out. My mom has her wits about her as she just cannot walk or take care of herself in some ways. She depends on her caregivers. So many things had been addressed with no real results. We finally realized we needed to move her out. This caused us to pay more money for fees for a new facility and even 16 days that she wasn't at Mustang Creek which was around $1800.00 more to them. Mustang Creek's management would not even answer mine or my sister's email or phone calls once we gave notice to move her out. I could go on and on like leaving her in the shower so long she almost slipped out of her chair and did not want to shower anymore. She had bed baths from then on. And extra activities that seemed to be going on at some point in the parking lot with resident's prescriptions. Jewelry did go missing from my mom's room. Which is probably on us since we should not have trusted that someone wouldn't take it. What can you do as there were so many caregivers in and out all the time. Please do not put your loved one in this facility. No matter how much research you do a facility will never be better than your care. Always go and visit because you don't know what is really going on and when you show up you can see for yourself. My mom is now at Beehive in Frisco which has so far been a good change for her. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND MUSTANG CREEK ESTATES IN FRISCO.

If this is the only place you can afford, then I understand choosing Mustang Creek. This was our situation with our mom. We moved her into Mustang Creek in November 2022, and within a month and a half, she was in the hospital having trouble breathing. She was on the verge of getting pneumonia. As we learned the world of assisted living we found a senior advisor that helped us understand that there are more options - group homes, hospice palliative care, etc. Because my mom had a relationship with the Executive Director, Carmen of Mustang Creek at the time, she reassured us that they would take care of my mom if she came back there from the hospital. Things started to turn around. However, after about two months Carmen was let go and they haven't been able to get another Executive Director. Here is a list of our experiences - (food is horrible - made by the caregivers who don't necessarily know how to cook (think pot pies, fish sticks), and my mom stopped eating, my mom required a Hoyer lift - they would leave her in the shower chair for long periods of time -she had cuts and bruises- and her wheelchair- this caused her to never want to get out of bed, prescriptions were constantly off, not given, and we learned later the caregivers were selling pills in the parking lot, when we would visit her room was always disgusting - stinky with diapers, wipes and dirty clothes thrown everywhere.the list goes on.) We were able to move our mom to another facility that worked with our budget. However, after all of this, we still had to pay for a half of month's rent at Mustang Creek even though she was not there. We moved her out of Mustang Creek before the end of the month and the directors were not flexible with the one month's notice. After all we experienced above, they would not return our phone calls and threatened to turn us into creditors. My mom is on a limited budget and has a very minimal amount of money to survive. We literally had no choice and had to move her because our mom's health was declining. We would not recommend Mustang Creek. If you are new to assisted living, etc - find a senior advisor that can help you, to be your advocate and give you recommendations based off of families they've worked with. After we connected with an advisor they told us they would not recommend Mustang Creek. BEWARE!

I wouldn’t recommend no family members to bring their family to this ghetto facility. They all are disrespectful and sometimes hit on family member if they hit them first. Don’t trust nobody there

I work next door at Prairie Estates and I have had many interactions with the administration at this assisted living especially when it comes to coordinating a patient returning home post rehab or a patient has decided to make Mustang Creek their new home. I have no complaints even when new staff starts. The ED and marketing team over there communicate what they need, is quick to respond and accommodate. I recommend them not only because they are close but they provide good care for a great price!

Even though my uncle only lived there for a couple months before passing away, the staff & facilitated couldn’t have been better.
They were very attentive to his needs & kept me apprised of how he was doing when I wasn’t there.
It tickled him that they were even calling him Uncle ***
He told me multiple times that they were taking such good care of him.
It’s very much a family atmosphere & I couldn’t have found more caring people
him to.
The facility administrator, Carmen, wears her heart on her sleeve & is amazing!
Two of the girls that worked closest with my uncle were Aaron & Mariah & they’re pure gems!
I wouldn’t hesitate to place another family member at Mustang Creek Estates if the need should arise. Heck, I’d have no problem living there myself.

Carmen with Mustang Creek Estates was a godsend for me and my family. She helped me maneuver situations that I had never dealt with before in caring for my Dad with such love and compassion. She knows how to get things done and I am thankful for all the support she provided.

My mother has been living at Mustang Creek Assisted Living in Frisco for a year now. I believe they are doing a great job caring for my Mom. The executive director Carmen is always available to discuss any changes that might be needed in my Mom's care. The staff is caring and helpful. The facility is always sparkling clean. Mom says that the food is great!

I am giving a 5 star rating since I know for a fact Mustang Creek in Frisco is going to be amazing. God has put a new Executive Director at this location who I have known 30 plus years. She loves geriatrics along with loving on her staff. She will inspire and guide along the way. I would trust her and now her staff with my own family.
