NACA is an awesome program. No closing cost, No down Payment, No Mortgage Insurance, No minimum Credit Scores and Low market Interest rates. There is no program like it. The Process is lengthy, but in the end you will realize the American Dream of being a Homeowner.

NACA is the best mortgage company out there. I strongly recommend them. No closing cost, no down payment, and great rates. The process can be a little overwhelming but it will be worth it. I'm super thankful for this program without it homeownership would be impossible.

I recently started NACA process. I did my second counseling session. My counselor is Amy W and she is working hard to help me get through this long process. I believe, I’m close to be NACA qualified and I recommend everyone wants to buy house to try!

Naca is the best mortgage company out there If you are a first time homebuyer I strongly recommend Naca. No closing cost, no down payment, what can you ask. Great in house real estate agents. Antonio Coronado and Esthela Rosales are exceptional.

Attended home buyer workshop in November 2020, ATD in March 2021, and had my first official intake appointment in April 2021. Each counselor I've met with is professional, thorough, and has addressed every question and concern I've raised with the program. Only issue I've encountered is the time between appointments. Overall, I think the NACA purchase program is not only a great way to obtain an affordable mortgage, but one thing many lenders will not - ensure potential owners are truly ready to assume the responsibility of homeownership. Highly recommend.

NACA has been very professional and knowledgeable. The Counselors have all been very helpful and extremely courteous. Even with the high demand they have been able to meet all our needs. I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a home l, but I highly recommend to any first time home buyers.

My husband and I started the process last August. That is the beauty of it. You can go as slow or as fast as you want. They are not just in the business of mortgages but helping you with your finances. Before NACA we would ask for help from a mortgage company and all they would wan to do is run our credit and then they would never want to talk to us again. NACA is here to help us get to that point of qualification. This is all on top of the no closing costs, no PMI, no down payment. We will be ready this coming January to buy our dream home.

Update: at the end of our process NACA pulled all funding and approval from us even though we where qualifying and had superb credit. It seems like they pick and choose who they want to help.

I would like to thank naca on behalf of myself and my family for helping us become first time home owners. The process may get overwhelming but believe in the process because its worth it. The rates are great and the naca team really gets involved with you to better understand the benefits. Thanks Naca

I would not recommend this company.i signed up in December i was able to upload all of my documents during this time i contacted my counselor to ask about paying the fee's she informed me to wait until my appointment to determine if this was the program for me which made since. My appointment was for april the 13th on the 7th of April i received 4 email one that stated my Dl was not legible and that the counselor no longer work there and they cancelled my appointment. Very unprofessional 5 days before my appointment i am very disappointed and nobdoy will even reach out to me what is the point to have my contact info if you don't use it.

Its not a scam.its real- but its a very very difficult program to complete. I am in year 1 of homeownership. IMO it was worth it, but I was lucky enough to have the time and energy to jump through all the hoops they require.

I have had a great timely experience with Naca and the mortgage counselors. They educate you on expenses and readiness to prepare for a homebuyer experience!

I was excited to begin the home ownership process through NACA after having been recommended and attending 2 in person workshops (pre-Covid) and 1 virtual in August 2020. I had my 1st intake with Nicole Rios in September. Everything was great including my payment shock. Needed to provide a letter from a creditor for an old paid closed account. No problem. Scheduled next meeting for October. Information was provided. Meeting date comes, no meeting. I got in contact with her the next day, she didn’t “officially” schedule the meeting and says that she is swamped because she became the only counselor in San Antonio after another counselor left the company. Meeting scheduled and confirmed on NACA’s calendar for November. Once again, Nicole Rios is a no show for that appointment. After emailing the regional manager in December, I hear from Nicole, but wasn’t prepared for anything. Mind you, I’ve continued to update my web file each month. She says we will schedule in 3 weeks (this would have been right at Christmas time), but the appointment she gave me was at the end of January. January date comes, I had to reach out to the local office for confirmation that she would attend. She was 10 minutes late, only to tell me she was working on my file, which was line by line. Okay fine. That call lasted 40 seconds. Yes, 40 seconds. I call back about an hour or so later, no answer, but she did call back. This time I get more detail. She’s working on the last 3 months bank statements line by line, which takes 2-3 days to complete, had submitted a request for verification of employment, was sending my file for qualification, and would send me an email in a few days. Oh okay, now we’re getting somewhere and I’m excited again. As of the date of this writing in March, I am still waiting for that email. Here’s where I began to get really annoyed with Nicole Rios. I call her 2 weeks after we last spoke for the information she would have put in the email. She tells me the exact same thing 2 weeks prior, then tells me she received an email from the company that 2018 tax returns cannot be used. Okay, I gotcha. So I went ahead and prepared my tax return for 2020 and uploaded it with my W2 and emailed her, as she requested, and I cutthroat regional manager. No what Nicole Rios. Late February, I reach out to her again. After the Texas storm passes. Now she gives me the excuse of being out sick that she gave me for not meeting with me in November. I’ve reached out to the manager at the local office and she has yet to return my call, and won’t speak to me when she’s available, but tells the customer service rep that she is working on getting me a new counselor. To date, I still haven’t heard from her, but they had the audacity to schedule my next appointment for July. Really! Where is the professionalism, courtesy, and accountability with the staff in this organization. You’re supposed to be an advocate for people, but instead you BS people. I’m trying my best to be patient because I believe in the program because it has helped people that I know personally and it works to my advantage, but there are some people that feel they have a right to take advantage of you and that you are at their mercy.

I had my intake appointment as scheduled and as a first time homebuyer I was super nervous and scared, but I was definitely blessed with a positive and enthusiastic counselor. She was very thorough and encouraging! I feel very comfortable moving forward with the process. I hope to be able to come back at the end of my journey and add the fifth star.

BS. Constant runaround in 2009 at the Oakland California office. Each case worker has hundreds, maybe more of clients and can't even think about keeping up or any sense of follow up.

1-14-2021 update: I’m moving my star rating from 1 to 3, as after much deliberation, my wife suggested we give the San Antonio NACA a try since we have been here since 2014. I just called in today and was told appointments are scarce due to staffing and first one not available until May. I get it - COVID. I was given an email to reach out to.

We’ll see if NACA San Antonio can earn the 5 stars or if they drop back down to 1.

I’ll keep you updated

Started this process in December and it’s moving along. I’m hoping to be qualified soon and in a home soon!
